The statement of 'Manipulates Luck' suggests that this is a Tool Assisted Speedrun. It's a little hard to explain in a short time, but Tool-Assisted essentially means that it was done with emulator tricks that are impossible for humans.

Both DD and Renegade are by the same people (Taito & Technos). Renegade is actually a precursor to DD.

Technically, Renegade would be an english translation, but there is no ending in Renegade. Once you beat the game, it just says "The End" and cuts to the credits.

Honestly, You'll be able to understand the basics of this game without the english, I can and I kick ass at this game.

Nice speed run of this game. This game was released in 1986 in Japan by Technos for the NES. It was not until Taito bought the rights to the Japanese version and called it "Renegade" which it came out in 1987 in the US. Pretty good game. I'm going to put these up in 2 parts on the upcoming episode of the "4 O'Clock Game" soon.

Excellent speed run hisatoki! Why not try one on difficulty Level-3? I am currently working on one, but for the NES version by the name of Renegade. I'm not sure if you used tools in your run, but I won't be using any and will be playing without any cheating. Just finishing the game on Level-3 will be a challenge, but I believe that I will pull it off.

The first NES game I beat, though only on the easiest level of play though. The first 3 missions were always a cakewalk, it's the maze to the final boss and the onslaught of enemies that was the problem.
