  • Get Mac users to download a rogue anti-virus program by showing them a fake Windows scan? Damn the new generation of virus programmers are fucking stupid.

  • Anyone believing an application that shows a Windows interface instead of Mac ON A MAC is fucking retarded and deserves to get their CC stolen. Idiots.

  • the fuckin ass holes got ma fucking money from their " shitty program "

  • god how poor is this?

  • this happened to my macbook pro laptop and since then pop ups happen frequently. i was worried but now i feel better, i knew it was a scam because the software was obvious

  • @IntegoVideo Mr. IntegoVideo, can you tell me where I could download this virus? I'm interested in getting infected.

  • Well, the fact that a user would "need to register" just to remove viruses from a computer makes it obvious that it's simply a scam.

That's just my opinion, so there's a chance that I might be wrong.

  • To fix: 1. Go to finder 2. Search: activity monitor 3. Open it 4. Find the process for Mac Guard 5. Click on it 6. Press: Quit process 7. Go to finder 8. Search: Mac Guard 9. Right click it and move to trash 10. Go to trash 11. Empty trash Thumbs up if this helped.
  • you need to be an idiot to get a virus etc on a mac

tip: only enter a password if you yourself have just installed something of known quality and source etc.

the need to enter a root or admin password is your best defense dont enter one

I ran windows vista for six months with no virus checker and never got on the same way

  • @Vega799

Even tho I have a PC But i will get a Mac.

Guess what, Viruses target PCs more and haves more viruses than Macs. AND Macs are also more secure than Windows without having an anti virus! Hope your computer dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Windows7Fan1 more secure without an anti virus? prove it. i hate comments with "Yea i have this anti virus and i have no problems with it" "i also have this program and no issues with security since ive had it" has NOTHING to do with the program. if you DONT get malware how would you know that your program is working? and if its just NOT working and you DO have malware. saying its more secure wouldnt make sense if people just havent been in contact with threats.

  • One word: Linux.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhh what happened to that virus free world of Mac..............?

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh too bad Mac boyyssss

    Hope your computers die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this man......sacrificed his own mac for us.......

HE IS THE SON OF GOD!!!!

  • @betheperson1 Or maybe it is just a virtual machine

  • @iAppleseedy

no, viruses don't just run of the OS alone....

  • @betheperson1 I meant, maybe he just used a virtual machine to show us what the virus does. That way, his real machine (his mac) is not affected.

  • @iAppleseedy

yes, he could, but then it would still be both charging him and would be running off the same derivative OS..

  • As a mac user I would find it hilarious if they did a Mac vs PC ad for this situation.

C'mon people stop this pointless flamewar. No computer or operating system is universally better for everyone. To each his or her own. Choose your OS based on your needs and wants. It's a free f*cking country! What would be the point everyone being the same and using all Windows PCs or Macs or Linux boxes? Choice is good, choice works. Let's defend and celebrate choice not blast people for exercising it.

  • LOL at the haha MAcsz hvae viruseZ too2!!

NO, this isn't a VIRUS, it's MALWARE, big difference; it doesn't self replicate or do any serious low level internal system damage.

Not to say Macs are immune, but by nature macs are still safer than NT kernel boxes.

  • @FeeLtheHertZ

    Doesn't have viruses.

    they are too badass

  • The mac guy from the ad would shit his pants.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 Your a piece of garbage. Your channel is so retarded too claiming windows is the most secure and bug free OS you little digimon faggot. Your an idiot.

  • @NoBSODforme526 You are the real idiot. You are pretty bad at trolling, too.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 I am not a troll, so I wouldn't know how to be a good one you troll. That's why you are hated.

  • Take that mac community! You have viruses too!

  • Might be worth noting the email I opened was from some months ago before this virus was discovered and I had opened it already in the past. I just thought about this and it's made me wonder how the hell that happened. The only other pages I had open were FB and YT. Hmmm, now i'm confused! Any ideas anyone? Is it possible for someone to target my Macbook directly?

  • I opened an email from a (trusted) friend and this opened up and anti-malware.zip started downloading without me having pressed anything! I cancelled the download and cmd-q'd the browser straight away! Note though - I didn't have to click ANYTHING to make the file download. I've done a spotlight search for any related files and i'm clean. Thank F**K!

  • I like the music..

  • lol @ 0:17 ... it's a Windows XP style dialog box. Dumb ass Mac users.

  • @Jaguar7444 Hey, who cares? Dumb ass PC user.

  • @Jaguar7444 lolz mac does suck

  • @Jaguar7444 they got a new style out, it looks like mac, and now there making those scanners on windows to look like windows 7, there "advancing" :), anyway, i hate malware developers

  • Hi i installed virusbarrier plus from the app store.

does it work when its not active?

  • @GADGETRONsc VirusBarrier Plus only scans your files on demand. it doesn't work on background. If you want a real time scanner, you may need VirusBarrier X6.

Comparison, go to: intego . com / vbcompare

  • how can you delete this.. its hard i tried and i cant :[

    HELP someone mssg me plz

  • How do you know this does nothing to my mac, or any mac? And i cancelled the install, put the files in the trash, and emptied. Then ran clamxav and it told me that i have no virus on my pc. But if you guys could assure I would be very thankful. :)

  • how can you uninstall this offf your mac?????

  • @Smartel4 VirusBarrier X5, VirusBarrier X6, VirusBarrier Express (FREE) and VirusBarrier Plus protect users from this malware with malware definitions dated May 2, 2011 or later.

  • @IntegoVideo or.. you can just delete it from applications folder and remove its login item

  • @fergusons434 how do you do that

  • @Smartel4 or use your mac in target disk mode and simply delete it off with your other mac.. after all.. we love macs so we have more than 1 :D (or am i the only crazy guy.....)
