  • I ended up opening it properly and fixing it. Turns out the damn rubber grommet is a PIECE OF CRAP 2$ part. I can't believe they use 4$ JUNK parts for a 400$ piece of supposedly "PROFESSIONAL" equipment. bastards... but anyways, for anyone really wanting to fix it, order a new Rubber Grommet, a New Bearing for the other side, and replace the parts. Then install the fan back in and you're good as new. While it's open, use the cleaning fluid or whatever to clear the whole damn thing out properly

  • LOL - u made me laugh like 3 times... and that's awesome. it's hard to make me laugh. I loved the repair work overall... The tools, the video in general was good. And, Finally THE CRACK AHAHAHHAH. Great! too bad your knees were all wet though... :)

  • @georgemayweather thanks :) that makes me happy. im glad you got yours fixed too haha

  • Dude the motor on the oerck nedd to be cleaned idiot!

  • I've had one of these since 2006. Besides cleaning the collector cell every few months, once a year you should disassemble the unit and soak the metal fan piece in soapy water--it collects so much dust that it becomes too heavy for the motor to spin it. I also wipe out the "blades" with wet Q-tips after the soak to ensure thoroughness.

Perhaps a quick read of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" is in order here.

  • I have the same one wanna fix mine also ?

  • that was the funniest thing i hhad seen all day

  • is he the star wars kid?

  • i like jaffa cakes altho wen the sun is shining i will leave my hotel room and move to the coast with my girlfriend

  • You could of replaced the bearings that support the squirrel cage blower and check the motor or the rubber motor shaft support that was very cheap to do that is very common why they are noisy and lock up. That would of solved your problem. Instead of massacring it with a hammer. That is only something that morons do. PS you can't clean the air if you don't move the air.

  • you, a stranger, wanna call me a moron? it was all for entertainment value. i didnt want to fix it in the first place.

  • No you didn't have to fix it your right, but you could of put it away or on the side and gave it to someone who could of used it and had it fixed. All it could of been was the rubber grommet that mounts on the blower cage and attaches to the motor shaft they slip for $5.00 that would of probably solved your problem. Things break and so do Ionic Pros what are going to do when the electronic control board goes on that smash that too.

  • I wouldn't call smashing a 1 year old $300.00 unit entertainment value you might of got something for that if you didn't want it.

  • PS I am not calling you moron. I said that is what morons do. It was just a good comment to your video If you want to break your air cleaner that is your business.

  • well thank you for you suggestions. sometimes i do like to fix things, but many people do enjoy my destruction videos. and this is the one that started it all. i purposely had the title, thumbnail, and the beginning of the clip lead people to believe i was going to fix it. of course by now, any of my subscribers know me better than to fall for that again.

  • I understand but a unit that cost in the hundreds and a year old might of been covered and fixed by Oreck or fixed and would of lasted a long time for years. Not destroyed that could been given to some that was sick and needed it. I could see if the unit was very old and then call it junk. Nice talking to you.

  • @bubbabrand The fan models are good for when you need to circulate the air...

  • Great video, definitely helped me decide what air purifier/fan NOT to buy. Your investment and hard work on this video has paid of to thousands of American consumers such as myself. I salute you!

PS. That crack was a nasty way to end the video

  • hahaha

thank you, thank you very much

  • Humm think he might of just voidd that 3 yar warranty thos things com with.. Least it cost HIM a couple hundrd bucks

  • Crack Kills!

  • I remember how it goes back together, but. I really don't think its possible without ducktape.

  • This is why I don't have you fixing things at my house!!! LOL

P.S. you need to buy yourself some suspenders!

I also agree with your sister. JUST SAY NO TO CRACK!!! LOL

  • ROFL!!!

I wish I could destroy something right now. Well you made me smile, thanks for spending a couple hundred bucks on that ^^ It was definitely worth it!
