I think BlueVoice are the last Marine Mammal charity that still has its head screwed on right. You guys seem to be the only people telling the truth (Even in response to the Cove) about where captured animals from Taiji go. They stay in Asia, they don't go to America. Captures do need to stop and in the end, Captivity will die out too. But for now, I'm more concerned with stopping the slaughter of Cetaceans and Captures.
Some people think we must not treat intelligent animals as food, but Japanese think differently. What Japanese fisherman are doing is legal and they are doing it for their living. Except that these animals are facing extinction, justice in on Japanese side.

The Japanese government has a shocking attitude towards sea life even claiming that there is no evidence that Whales/Dolphins are intelligent animals and therefore should not be deserving of any special laws regarding captivity. They even blamed Whales for the depletion of fish stocks.

@belle1252 im sorry but the sea world whales have other whales to socialize with. the trainers make great human companions. the big problem is how small their tanks are. i also dont like that whales are forced to be trained to do tricks, but at least the trainers dont train them in a harsh way. most of their whales a re rescued anyways that cant go back into the wild or they will die.
I find this so strange that large Orca like that could even be driven in to any cove by mere small boats like that. I would have assumed that the males were have been defensive of the group. Especially hearing the young in distress, the mothers would (on first thought) be protective. If people at Sea World exercise so much caution around parent Orca, then how can untrained people do so much with wild Orca? Odd sounding situation.

@Fozcachasa If you pay attention to the narration, you will see that facts are sited about the number of orcas killed in Japan and the film shows orcas captured for aquaria. The orca taken were the young and female, leaving the reaming pod members unable to reproduce, thus killing off the pod.

I've seen a Japanese aquarium in Shinagawa in Tokyo. My Japanese girlfriend called the show there with the Dolphins "Dolphin Jail" it was sad.

@belle1252 im sorry but the sea world whales have other whales to socialize with. the trainers make great human companions. the big problem is how small their tanks are. i also dont like that whales are forced to be trained to do tricks, but at least the trainers dont train them in a harsh way. most of their whales a re rescued anyways that cant go back into the wild or they will die.

I find this so strange that large Orca like that could even be driven in to any cove by mere small boats like that. I would have assumed that the males were have been defensive of the group. Especially hearing the young in distress, the mothers would (on first thought) be protective. If people at Sea World exercise so much caution around parent Orca, then how can untrained people do so much with wild Orca? Odd sounding situation.

They trade/loan/buy from other aquariums so not to be directly linked to the hunt. It's technicalities, but still evil. For a long timeSeaWorld orginally used helicopters and explosives in the hunt. Video got out and people were outrage. SeaWorld don't give a damn about conservations, it's all about the money. Their website screams "Buy! Buy! Buy!" @cococallaghan Orcas, dolphins and whales are basically our counterparts of the ocean. They are self aware, highly intelligent and social. To compare them to cows, pigs and chickens is ridiculous. Orcas in particular even have distinct dialects and cultures depending on which pod they belong to. They are also endangered and need our help to ensure that they don't become extinct. It is disheartening to see that some people still discount their human like attributes.
