  • The fish killer knot is cool. But when you are tying on a dropper you don't usually have a lot of tippet to waste.

  • When I tie my clinch knot that way I end up with the hook sticking my finger.

  • awesome ;)

  • wow, i've not seen a fish-killer (slip knot) made the way you did a big thanks for the tip!

  • Best video I could find. Simple and very effective

  • OMG its Harry Enfield!

  • Thanks man... This is gonna help me catch some fish

  • Thank I learned clinch knot pretty easy from watching this vid

  • thanks im going fishing later today i this will help me alot it has already helped me thanks again

  • damn good video

  • YOU ARE THE MAN!! i learned a knot on the Versus channel? i believe but everytime my line broke it was not at my knot!! i had a 8lb or so large mouth on. and lost it. and my knot held. i wa sin stumps and i was able to avoid a tangle. but i was using Berkley Havocks. orange. and it was set up for weedless and wasnt able to set the hook through the rubber :( ill get the bastard!!! :) thank man!! im gonna use these knots as well!!

  • what would be your recommendation for trout fishing?

  • @arnoldinshorts Any knot you can tie confidently. It should be strong and allow the fly to have some action. I would use my second knot. Fish Killer knot.

  • Thank you so much, now i wont look stupid when i go fishing with my friends

  • best fishing knot video

  • thanks! keep going :) i tried a few times and it worked. Thanks for sharing

  • With the fish-killer knot (slip knot) if you don't cinch it up tight against the eye of the hook, leaving it just a little loose, it will allow your fly (dry or nymph) to move more freely and natural.

  • i only go fishing a few times over the year and i always forget how to tie a hook on you make it so much easier for me thanks, my dad no longer has to tie my line haha

  • Veroka Salt?

  • Thank you very much my favourite is Clinch knot but i forgot it :( and now i can tie it again ty very much man

  • Thank you sir. I lost a fat rainbow at my favorite fishing hole. I'm sure it's because of the weak know I had tied. I was sooo mad at myself. I'll be practicing this knot from now on!

  • Great knots. When I was young, I used to lose so many lures because it took me so long to tie a knot I would not want to retie it until I would loose the lure.

  • thxs cuaght many fish with these knots! thxs :P for your hlp

  • does the knot actually have an influence in how many fish you catch?

  • @EVHfilms Yes both knots have a big influence on how many and also how big the fish you catch, especially if you tie poor knots now.

  • @hookthreader1 thanks, cause now i just make like 8 weird knots :) but i will try this

  • thanks... you definately make it look easy, i'm gonna go practice now cause i'm heading out salmon fishing tonight on lake michigan here in beautiful chicago

  • @jumar1281 I'm sure with a little practice you will master it. Good luck with the salmon.

  • i used the first knot and it doesnt even break no matter how much i pull it

  • i love that first one i use it every time i go out fishing now thanks!

  • awsome knot thx!

  • great post. love the ending ;)

  • I'm American, so I don't throw this term around a lot, but that second knot was brilliant!

  • @mca1houn Thanks Mate, It is definitely one of my all time favourites. That knot holds up when using light tackle and lifting fish that you think will break the line.

  • this helped alot, thanks

  • Great video! The second knot is my new favourite

  • yoooo where can you find that hook holder for tightening your knots ?

  • the first knot seems simpler.. Thanks for sharing!

  • thanks for sharing that helped alot.

  • thanks for sharing that helped alot.

  • I would have gave it a five star but it would be nice fir you to use like a white nylon string or rope and use something to mimic a hook that way we could see the string and where it goes. The first one was easy to see mainly cause it is same knot just a faster and easier way

  • i think the first ones stronger...2nd 1 let me down 1 time

  • TOO FAST! LOL

  • Great video thanks am going on first fishing trip tomorrow, more confident now!

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • For most applications I find the clinch knot to be a great knot, however if I am using very fine line with a large hook I do like to lock it. P.S I am glad you like my Hook Threader and thanks for the feedback.

  • Hook threader is a great little product for threading the line, I have one myself; however if you are tying a clinch knot it is important to lock the knot. Have a look at Hook-Eze.

  • o man o man you helped me a lot on the clinch knot thanks a lot buddy

  • greaaaatttttt vdo sir thankx for ur help!!!!!!
