  • Beats a Vocodor any damn day. 'Nuff Said

  • My brother's basslines sound a lot like this. But I don't know if he was hiding out on my about dilla because I didn't hear squat about Dilla till after he died. Now we are both OFFICIALLY DILLA-FIED!!!

  • one of the greatest beats dilla produced. i remember when i first heard fantastic vol.2 it was something fresh and unique and different from the other stuff that was out there, even though at that time there was alot of innovative and kool stuff, remember co-flow before they slip up and el-p made lame music. SV was part of a very special era in hiphop that unforturnetley didn't last for more than 3 years.

  • THIS SONG CHANGED MY LIFE!! LOL!!! I REMEMBER BANGIN THIS WHILE DANCING IN MY CROSS COLORS!! LOL!!

  • Hottest beat I heard in a very very long time, and he made this like seven years ago!!!!!

  • Clairreeeeeeee

  • There's so much soul in this. It's so simple, yet so perfect....the emotion in it is crazy.. I can't explain it.

  • @stefanienava hell no, this shit is not simple ahhahaha this dude pitcted it, filtered it and had like 16 sample cuts, this was NOT simple

  • the base line could never be duplicated, imprint of a true legend : D

  • This is real music

  • they dont say player/players.. its claire.. look up singers unlimited - claire..

  • @grimm1onee indeed it is claire :)

  • @grimm1onee yeah, saying that it doesnt say player defeats the purpose of the beat, so keep that shit to your self, let other people look it up on there own,

  • @eazieboi your momma nigga.. who tha fuck are you, the hip hop cop..

  • @grimm1onee Yeah nigga, and imma give you a muhfuckin citation just for your dumbass...

  • @eazieboi i'll give your ma a citation fag ass nigga, go lay down..

  • @grimm1onee LOL GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, nigga you grounded, get off the computer before i tell you momma when i see her tonight, YOU GROUNDED..GO TO YOUR ROOM cuz.

  • @eazieboi lolol he right lil nigga hahah kill yoiself foo

  • @grimm1onee You're exactly right..always has been..if you listen closely you can hear Clairrreeeee!

  • @grimm1onee

    Its player!

I have SLUM village fantastic thats the name of the song

    PLAYERS

JAY DEE says"GONE gET SMACK by these"PLAYERS"

  • @grimm1onee One of J dilla's best skills is manipulating voices in samples to other meanings, in donuts there are soooooooo many of thouse

  • @grimm1onee thank you post this info.

  • Four Dislikes?? Four people got a hold of some bad weed.Four people didn't have their bifocals on and mistakenly clicked dis-like. Four people got ear wax build-up....but probably... Four people SUCK !

  • @KnockSquared lol

  • To the 4 people and whoever dares to click dislike "Y’all need to be smacked

open hands and beat by these (plaaaaaayers!)"

  • damn....

  • RIP Dilla i got up on u late my brotha. as a fellow producer i dig yo shit. i was so stuck on pete rock erick sermon and dj premier i didnt check for anyone else for a moment.

  • After you listen to the original, you can clearly hear the sample is saying "Claire", and it's almost like a mistake or some kind of psychology that Dilla heard "play". Some would say that's because Dilla wasn't smart and it's some foolish error that producers in hip hop do all the time with samples, but I personally think it's genius. Shows us that music is truly freeform and that although it may be the same "waveform" or same song, it can transform itself just by intention alone.Hip hop 4ever

  • @Ryz0n89 i dont think it was a mistake... i think he knew it said claire but he could chop it up after the hard c sound and title it player and people would here that

  • @Ryz0n89 I do it with samples for example...."love was meant for you" I could title it "love was mean for two" they call it the 'third ear' producers do it all the time.

  • @Ryz0n89 At the time of this song, Dilla was beefing w Proof from Slim Shady's crew and Proof's girlfriend's name at the time was????? Yeah, Claire. Soooo, def on the genius side.

  • @bdbeverly RIP to the Dilla. RIP to Proof.

    Hip Hop, where art thou?

  • @Ryz0n89

it's in Lil Wayne's glass jar at home, he smoking trees and saying to it: "Take dat nigga! Take dat! Aahhhahahahahahahahahaha...you dead nigga, DEAD! I killed yuh fam!"

  • @cbmuzik come on bru wayne is not killing hip hop

  • This shit iz just tooooo funky...good ridin' music. Roll on..

  • Man, I don't know how to feel. I just feel like nothing else matters right now.

  • OMG! I've been hunting this song for so long now and just happened to stumbled on it. This is gold right here!

  • DAMNIT!!!!! Where's the LOVE button???

  • CLAAAAIIIIIIRE

  • damn. this fuckin beat . ,ITS FLAWLESS

  • This shit still slaps in the buick!

  • fuckk .. PLAYAAAAAAAZ

  • This beat sound like steam coming from the sewer lids and factory buildings on a cloudy winter morning in inner-city wherever. (London, Detroit, Baltimore, NY etc.)

  • God bless J. Dilla *pours out internet liquor* U_U

  • checked every remake of this on youtube, some was nice but not like his, not to mention every other 1 says claire clearly and the sample is just looped i swear every chop in this sample is custom and not just a loop of the sample not to mention his is saying player and he danced all over the sample and snare clap with that bassline, dilla is the greatest producer of all time period!!!! im still scratching my head at how the fukk he did alot of his creations

  • @dyzzy412 dilla is my fav producer. i think that guys like premo and pete rock, rza etc. are technically better when you look at impact and such, but i'm not so sure sometimes

  • I JUST WANT TO SHAKE HIS HAND WHEN I GET TO HEAVEN

  • Singers Unlimted- Claire

    "Y’all need to be smacked

Open hands and beat by these ....."

  • Dilla is a genius

  • people are so dumbfounded by the fact that it says Clair and not Players. Nicely done, dilla lmao..

  • I find it to crazy that people don't recognize true talent and god given-gifts until that person is dead and gone.

  • @shyshotcaller27 Man, you are absolutely right. Man, I was pissed that he died before I could meet him. I started digging hip hop just shortly before he died (felt like I got deprived out of life).

  • @shyshotcaller27 fuck no...real heads were bumpin this as soon as it dropped. I don't know who could ever have heard this and not known it was gonna be the best album of the decade.

  • @shyshotcaller27 I know man I learned about Jay Dee in '08 from a friend Who bought his CD's. I got mad hooked to his shit then went to go see when he was droppin' a new album and found out that he passed... In 06. Man I was depressed for at least a week. The day I read about it I almost cried. Same with Nujabes but I knew about him a lil bit before he passed.

  • @smash44556677 I was Like that with Kurt Cobain & Nirvana. I had always heard Smells like Teen Spirit and Lithium like everyone else but once i got into the albums, shit changed my life. lol

  • @shyshotcaller27 I think it takes someone to be gone to realize that person's changed your life because yuu see how life is different without them. For example Im not rocking a J Dilla changed my life tee until I've heard the LAST of his work released, then reflect back on where I started when I was first introduced to him (6th grade, im gonna be a sophomore now) and I think it took until my freshman year to identify myself as a Dilla head.

  • @shyshotcaller27 yo i agree

  • @shyshotcaller27 I remember asking some friends if they knew who Dilla was. Not a single one said yea, but then I played some tracks by Busta, Common, and Erykah Badu, and they all recognized the productions on it as being superb. Jay Dilla didn't put his name all over the map, he put his beats and THAT is how he was recognized during his life. People knew who he was, not by name but by his snares, kicks, and samples that you can vibe to all day every day.

  • @MrKurtz1000

I asked some people some of em said NO

    SMH

  • no homo, but when I think about the genius that went into reworking that sample to sound like "players", and position that against Dilla"s much to short life and brilliant career, I get emotional. Thanks for filling my life with joy, Dilla. You have a fan for life.

  • DILLA

  • its player not claire

  • @liljizzle010 you ass! you obviously havent done your homework on the sample!

  • @liljizzle010 actually sample says clair, go ahead and listen to original

  • Dilla FTW!!!!!!!

  • We're all slaves so players are the latest prayers in this age of Ginni pigs that races have no clues off cause they're Agent smith from the matrix.

Comparable to an oasis the layers and basis of fantasy keep going up baby sacred geometry amazes even the gods who marble at the human body naked.

Now imagine the shave pits we're guaranteed aces in heaven says Hitler oh I mean the pope who chases his own tail around incarcerated like soldiers in military bases.
