Much progress. He's more at ease, and playing, but he's still retreating sometimes to his "safe"corner on the counter. Note the curled in paws and the tight way he's tucked into that corner at 2:28 . It shows he's withdrawing, as if at that moment there was too much going on and he was uneasy.
I think he needs a lap to curl up on. No rough petting, no pushing, just a gentle touch and the warmth of "safe haven." He's a tough case, and his fear of humans *still* shows.

@anmoose Good evening, yep I agree, he still retreats to the "corner" or when he's down on the floor he goes behind other stuff. I'm fixing to let him have more roaming, keep getting scared he's gonna go under something & revert back, but guess he'll have to eventually come out to eat & use the litter box. I'm surprised he has been using the box and all, but Friska has been the main "key" to everything w/him. They were way wired out playing the other nt. when I took this video! He does purr now!

@anmoose I also put his bed on the counter in his "spot" & one of them knocks it down every time now! ;o/ I even put it in the sink & they pull it out! I have other beds and blankets and they always end up on that counter. The best thing lately is that he lets me pick him up and all. I think in the video he was nervous cause I did it one handed :o/ I always have to go towards him too, he never just will come to me...but I'm hoping soon he may.

@anmoose ...that was the first time he played more rough with me also...now that I rewatch this video I seemed more rough back too :o/ yikes!

WOW first to comment, lol. You would swear this was a different kitten!! He is adorable and looks so healthy and happy now. Still a tiny bit cautious when you lower your hand to pet him, but boy what a difference!! Mom is really cool - she has made him feel really comfortable.... :-)

@trulykiwi lol 2nd & gosh when I rewatch the old videos he is so upset looking in those. L is still leary of him! haha...T has petted him a few...I'm trying to pick him up more...He seems very healthy. He is fixing to visit the vet very soon...but...I've waited cause know he prob. will freak out of his comfort zone, just was glad he didn't have something. Friska is a cool mom cat, sweetest cat ever. I'm going to take her to the vet w/him to help out! :)
