Liverpool people are very spiteful if things dont go their way. It's a quality i noticed when i had to go there last year. I dont much like Liverpool, very dirty with a grotty city centre. I was meant to spend 3 days but lasted only a day and a half. Ringo did well spending a few hours. To many obese drunks in Liverpool.

Yes it is a beautiful city, probably the most beautiful outside of London. It has more grade 1 and 2 listed buildings than any other city in the UK and various Unesco World Heritage sites dotted around the city.

Liverpool, in common with most provincial cities was built on industry not 'culture'ie 'the arts'. Industry has gone therefore decay is inevitable. culture isn't something that just happens because the government says so or aquired through touring exhibitions or 'old buildings' etc.. Culture /arts is the industry of say, Venice , Liverpools' industry was it's culture & thats gone. Its a problem.

Liverpool is one of the maincentres of popular culture, from music (present and past musicians included) to fashion. It has a thriving club scene, band scene and a musical heritage any city would be proud of....
