I agree. As a society, a world society, we've cheapened life and its mysteries. There is nothing left to imagine and look forward to. Kids today know everything about life that's left to learn and imagine. What do they have to look forward to if they've been exposed to everything at 12? Hollywood is responsible, the media, Madison Avenue, they are all guilty of cheapening life. There is no respect because there is no one who thinks there is anything worth respecting anymore.

What I like about this interview is that she does not try to say the perfect answer to the questions. She doesn't care if she's not going with the general masses because she HAS paid her dues and if she never sold another album, in the history books she would still be considered a legend.

i'm 19 and i completely agree with her on the industry now, no mystery!!! for example, old hollywood like gene kelly, cary grant, clark gable --- there is no one hotter, b/c there wasn't tabloids like there are now!!! i really respect those like tom welling (smallville) because they don't parade around their lives.

and i love how she's completely honest with exercising!! ahaha it's true, you can't TRULY love exercising, c'mon people! haha love her!!
