I want to start getting into this. I have a massive DVD collection, and I'm thinking of building a nas box out of my old computer. I want so bad to simply have a collection of my movies in one place, not on discs I gotta get up and mess with lol
The question is can Vista Media Center play BD ISO on the fly without having to mount it first as a virtual BD DRIVE?
Right now Seagate GoFlex Media player supports DVD as well BD iso! I have a ripped BD of beyond 40gb that it plays instantly. I would like to see PC Based-Boxee, PS3 or Vista Media Center does it.

how can i play my downloaded movies through the xbox or what kind of file does the movie have to play. media ceter plays them just not though xbox as an extender. rob63552@yahoo.com
I don;t think you understood the question.. windows media centre is HTPC. where you want to avoid using the mouse to mount and unmount.. the question is there anyway theres a pluggin that does the mounting business..
@mmalique Check out Mikinho Mount Image at mikinho.com/wmc/mount-image. Install it and then add the folder with your ISO's to WMC's media libraries. Then you will see your ISO's as movies and the Mount Image add-in will handle all mounting and unmounting for you.
I love your videos and find them every helpful but I need help with converting things to ISO images.. Okay, I downloaded a movie and want to burn it to a disk. I'm not sure if it needs to be converted to ISO or not and I don't want to waste a disk to find out. Also, I have "Ubuntu" installation setup on a disk but it's only the files. When I put it in on start up though, it won't work as if it was an XP instal disk, does this have to anything to do with not being a ISO image? Thanks!
sometimes the iso will work but if it doesnt, you may need to find a crack on line to get it to function. this applies to pc games. as for console, ps2 games work only with a mod chip=/
wat are iso's because i downloaded halo CE in an iso and it said burn to disk and i did but i was watching it for like 2 hours and it said done but the green bar still had a bit to fill in?
how can you make the media center auto mount the iso within its own menu system? I know Magiciso has miso.exe which is a command line to mount but i couldn't get it to work right with my sega saturn images.
i'm curious if the front end will autoplay the movies seamlessly in the front end without going to windows

I think he means like when you insert a Pc game disc and make an ISO out of it. He wants to know how to play the game from the iso.

oh ok well yes you can play your game from an iso image=)
just follow the steps in this video but instead of opening them in media center, just play as if it were a physical disc=)
