Dean Deleo is the man! Not only because of this impressive & inspiring solo, but, because of how down to earth he is. In '06 I met him outside of an AOA show and he was the coolest dude! NO rockstar attitude involved whatsoever even tho he could get away with it! He actually hit on my girlfriend right in front of me but we all made a joke out of it! He didnt know we were 2gether tho! It was completely non-threatening 2 me! STP & Dean especially are totally cool mother truckers!!!! Love this song

@skins555 Interesting...I actually got the opportunity to meet Dean at an AoA show also - the show they did at Slim's in San Francisco. I think that was in '06. But yeah, I completely agree...REALLY cool dude. Asked him a million questions about his gear and technique - he was really cool about answering them all, and had some really encouraging words to keep playing and learning. His brother Robert is a great guy also. Definite class acts, both of them.

I think scott weiland is one of the hottes EVER but what I do find odd is that I have never seen track marks?? Like in live videos never and I know here like in these years he was massivly addicted.

He won't, he's been off Heroin ever since STP split in 2003 and had a small problem with cocaine through Velvet Revolver but is mostly clean these days, I'd say the worst of Scott's drug problems have been and gone, he's got a lot going for him at the moment and I'm pretty sure he realises it.

The only overdrive Dean uses is called the SIB Varidrive. But he only uses that on the AC30 for very particular parts of particular songs.

The rest of that amazing solo tone comes from his amazing Demeter TGP-3 preamp, and VHT Classic power amp, run in stereo.

Just saw them again live two nights ago in Oakland.  Another great show!

Many of these are on the Thank You dvd and all are fantastic. I would have loved to have been there. Not sure but I assume Rolling Rock host a number of bands over a weekend - I bet this display converted a few ppl who didn't rate them before. Scott is captivating and the lead guitar sounds fantastic. I just hope Scott keeps it together and they tour Europe in 2010.
