  • nothing like some pg to start the day right!

  • A God

  • Sounds like something Steve Morse would write.

  • That solo in the middle. You just know Paul was in the studio and just did it in one take. Completely feeling the groove and going for it and this is what came out. Pure gifted. Now, where's that track Hurry Up... Ah I see it in the side bar.

  • 1:44 fucking great solo!!

  • Man this kicks arse! I'm rocking like I'm at a virtuoso hoedown....!!!!!

  • Man this kicks arse! I'm rocking like I'm at a virtuose hoedown....!!!!!

  • Sounds like something you'd hear on a Sonic Adventure game to me.

    Love it.

  • Will you two leave it be? If I had these skills Id do it for money and passion now shut the fuck up and enjoy his talent. ffs,

  • EARGASM!!!

  • Woooow

  • the part beginning at 1:50 is simply great^^

  • @kirkzakkjimi

buckethead puts more emotion into his music, but not more soul. hard to explain, but there is a difference. however nobody can deny that buckethead has more emotion than paul. i mean, he made an album dedicated to his dying mother, which is far more emotional than anything paul has ever done. he has made several emotional albums like colma, electric tears, too many humans, and his newest album shadows between the sky. nobody can't deny that buckethead is incredible.

  • @Fluffypopcicle "nobody can't deny that buckethead is incredible" i can. heard it all before done better 20 years ago.

  • @MUDSHARK111

name one other musician that sounds like buckethead (excluding buckethead's repetitive paul gilbert lick guitar solos).

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Buckethead having more emotion in his playing is like saying Paul Gilbert likes to sweep pick.

  • @trinoply

i take it you are one of the people who haven't listened to all 47 of buckethead's solo cds. electric tears, colma, shadows between the sky...nuff said.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

No, I'm just not buying that Buckethead can be called with more 'emotion' than Gilbert. Sure, I'll give that Buckethead is original sounding when he isn't trying to be Paul Gilbert, and that hes certainly good, but Gilbert can do everything he can better, and with more 'emotion' in it. Besides, Gilbert is a teacher of the art, as well as the best at what he does, that alone shows more emotion and soul into the instrument itself.

  • @trinoply

you can't really measure emotion. only the players know how much emotion is put into their music, i just reckon buckethead is more emotional because of his colma album. he made it for his mother who was dying of cancer so it's safe to assume that album was far more emotional than anything paul has done. on top of that buckethead plays at least 5 more genres than paul does, so saying paul can do anything buckethead does better is ludicrous.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Paying respects to your dead mother isn't something someone should take credit for. Its a given thing to do. And just because you made an album for someone who passed doesn't mean you have more or less emotion in your playing. All it means is that you seriously cared about the person.

  • @trinoply

his mother was dying of CANCER!!! that's not a natural cause. if you're mother died of old age it means she lived a long life. buckethead's mom died because of a disease and that's a tragedy making it far more emotional than you imply.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

My mother is dying of Multiple Sclerosis, my dad has prostate cancer. If I made a song for both of them, would that make me more emotional than Buckethead?

  • @trinoply

i don't know, did you make an entire ALBUM, and did you bother to get the song produced? did you actually make it musical and unique? more importantly, since when did paul make anything more emotional? name one song.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Name one song that is more emotional?

Straight through the Telephone Pole. That was rather easy. Is that all you've got?

  • @trinoply

    rofl you're musically retarded.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

lol kay. I guess thats your way of saying "Shit, I lost this argument."

  • @trinoply

no, not at all, it's just hilarious that you think this song is more emotional than the stuff buckethead does. i bring evidence to the plate, you bring invalid statements.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Well hey, if you want to call shit emotional, thats on you. Not me. Paul Gilbert maintains his level of emotion highly throughout his career while Buckethead makes an album of it. You do the math. Buckethead will never surpass Gilbert on anything except MAYBE lifespan. Now shoo, go back to big sur moon or whatever you jack off to all day.

  • @trinoply

okay, you keep acting like you are a magical device that can tell how much emotion a musician puts into his music while i state valid evidence and put up an actual argument. buckethead has made more than 1 emotional album you fool, colma isn't the only one. shadows between the sky, electric tears, a diamond in the rough, population override etc. not only is he more melodic at the least, he is far more versatile.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

I love how somehow you brought evidence to the table by saying Buckethead made an album for his mom, as if thats supposed to convey musical emotion.

  • @trinoply

it does, he bothered to get it produced.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

    ..For money.

    ...

  • @trinoply

yea, as if buckethead gets lots od money for making an album that underground. if he wanted money he would be a pop artist. you're clueless.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Don't kid yourself. Musicians have to make money through their craft, and if they took time to make an album they would put it out, for money being enough cause to put it out. Even Gilbert does this too.

  • @trinoply

then you just killed your own point. then again you never had a point, you were just attempting to make one.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Lol, kay. Enjoy being a buckethead fan.

  • @trinoply

    Lol, kay. Enjoy being ignorant.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

    I will.

  • @trinoply Jesus Christ you are both probably 13 fucking years old, you've argued for like 3 fucking pages. First off get your facts straight, Buckethead and Paul Gilbert are phenomenal guitarists, and Paul Gilbert fucking TAUGHT Buckethead. Seriously how much fucking time do you have to argue for 3-4 comment sections on a great song? Bring it the fuck outside.

  • @TyKexBK

Oh, he agrees me. Trin 1, fluffy 0

  • @Fluffypopcicle

    STFU

  • @TedPalen

    no.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Katie Is A Star

  • @MrPoundNote

    what?

  • @Fluffypopcicle You challenged someone to name an emotion PG track. I gave you one =P

  • @MrPoundNote

that's not what i challenged him to do. paul has plenty of emotional tracks, im not an idiot who hasn't to paul gilbert but feels the need to judge him or compare him to somebody else. what i told him to do was name a track he has made that is MORE emotional than something like for mom or i love my parents by buckethead.

  • defo prefer pauls music than this buckethead people are raving about, he just seems like some crazed lunatic.

Pauls style is much better :-)

  • all of bucketheads shred phrasing is all the same as paul gilberts, and personally even with all the cool weird shit he does, i still love pauls playing

  • I love PG's rhythm solo in this song! Really makes your head bob

  • Thats why I love Paul's music more than any other guitarist out there is becuz its not mindless. All well written, great pulse flowing.

  • PAUL GILBERT THE BEST SOLO

  • i think the same

  • FUCKING AWSOMEEE!!

  • GREAT SONG!!!!

  • lol you rule!!!!! :D
