It seems like Priests are doing this but they are not. Catholics do not only fight abortion. If you look at the Vatican the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church have a variety of missions.

The Pro-Life movement is so publicized because the Pro-abortion movement is so publicized. (fight fire with fire...)

Protesting is the only way to fight the majority of the population....

The abortion issue is the most important issue. Its not only denying a human the right to life but denying our own humanity. Life is the foundational and fundamental of all basic human rights. If life doesn't matter, then nothing else does.

Like a house, issues have to have a foundation. The economy, the environment, fighting disease, fighting poverty and are important but life itself is.

The Abortion issue is consuming Christianity.. It seems like so many Priest and Bishops speed the majority of their time protesting abortion.. I know abortion is wrong, but destroying it shouldn't be put before turning people to Catholicism. If more time was spent converting people to the Church then the abortion issue would also die down.. I just think that the time protesting is better spent praying and converting people.

If the Church were to do nothing more in her history; Accomplishing nothing more; Falling into corruption on all fronts; Failing to convert all the world....it's worth losing on all those fronts for just one more baby saved, and I do not think God would disagree.
