Well, he's "been working on a new album" since 2000. At least he mentioned in an interview that long ago he wanted to do something else.

But as of right now there is nothing concrete about a new solo release.

We're in Iraq for the oil, yes, to take it off the market and drive prices up. Leading oil investors tend to be war profiteers as well - also at our expense.

The U.S. has enough domestic oil to meet it's own needs and Europe's as well. The oil industry is compartmentalized and the kingpins are using environmentalism and other left-puppeteering tactics like the "peak oil" fraud as smokescreens for choking supply. Believe it.

Let me ask a question. If everyone believes this to be an 'Oil driven war' by the US, then why is the price of gas and oil going through the roof in the US?, and why would the US be looking to rid itself of foreign oil and seeking to create new sources of energy? The oil companies wouldn't need to raise prices if there was an endless stream of oil coming from Iraq. Anyone care to explain this?

Well first off just because the war is about oil doesn't mean the prices should go down either. Who ever said that was the case? Oil prices have been rising steadily since 1998. Instability in the region, future uncertainty, and increasing global demand has caused its price to go up. And since it is finite we are going to have to develop other sources of energy in order to sustain our way of life. Hope that answers your questions.

Let's not forget oil company greed. I watched a CNN special that featured Bill O'Reilly and James Carville and they both agreed that it's mostly oil company greed that's driving prices up. The CEO's need another 10 million in their pocket. 90 million per year is not enough.

True they have been turning out record profits. I have friends that have gone diesel, and another that has recently bought a Prias. Economically it seems like a more and more sensible choice to make. Fortunately I can rely on public transportation.

I'm not blaming the right or the left. I'm just saying it's too bad we didn't see it coming. The Jews weren't trying to kill Hilter and destroy Germany. He had no reason to do what he did because his country wasn't being threatened. Terrorists (like Hitler) have made it perfectly clear that their intentions are to wipe the US off the map. In my book that's just cause for a pre-emptive strike (against Terrorists, not all Middle Eastern people).

I think what Roger doesn't understand is that if we (the US) elect a democrat who instantly pulls out of Iraq, the terrorists will throw their hands up and declare victory. Sometimes you have to take the fight to THEM. If we had seen Hitler for who he really was and attacked HIM first, then the Holocaust would've never happend. Bush may not be the brightest bulb, but he's doing everything he can to stop these people before they nuke the free world back into the stone age.

Iraq had no involvement in September 11th, if your strategy was to fight terrorists then going to war with Iraq doesn't seem like the best strategy.

Personally, I think Bush did it because he hated Saddam for trying to kill his father. Bush said in a speech at a university (not sure which one). 'Of course, this is the man who tried to kill my father', after I saw him say that, I knew it was personal.

I think there's some creedence to the revenge theory. I think control of the region is the main reason. Controlling Iraq gives the U.S. political leverage against on Saudi Arabia and puts more pressure on Iran. Plus leverage w/OPEC comes into hand. We would have fought Iraq under Bush regardless of 9/11.

I agree 100 percent, Helicon, he is oversimplifying a horribly complex and messy situation that needs to be looked at from so many different perspectives. He's just shedding light on one perspective that is more or less in the dark, albeit less important to the innocent.

I wonder how he feels about Iran holding 15 of his own countrymen hostage? Some of his lyrics blow me away. 'Do they really mean us harm?' Is he kidding? Terrorists have been systematically attacking the US without since 1979, starting with seizing US hostages and leading up to 9/11. We can't just sit around and wait for 3rd world countries like Iran and Iraq to nuke western civilization into oblivion, and that's exactly what the President of Iran and would do given the chance.
