  • Very nice!

  • hahaha calbo!

  • nicely played-a little slower than many others on youtube but you get more expression that way.

  • How do you do the armonic at 0:52 ?

    Thanks

  • I found the tab, and its not that hard to play. The speed and prescsion is

something else. Thanks, Jasper for taking 2 weeks to a month out of my life

trying to learn this song. I will waste alot of time and never play it that well.

Did I tell you I cant stand piano players!

    Take Care

  • awsome music, im learnig it now

  • ain't the link for higher cuality the same video?

  • watch for your both pinky fingers man c:

  • just amazing

  • good execution! bravo!

  • me gusto, es sencillo, pero muy bonito.

    Un slaudo

  • excelente tu interpretacion !!!

  • Hey! I just posted a video of the first 5 etudes if you would like to check it out! You do a great job on yours and I'm trying to get a little feedback, from a good player. Thanks!

  • buenisimo!!espero lograr tocarlo asi!!!

  • Nice man. I had to play this for my jury not that long ago. I wish I could have played it like this, but I got a little nervous. Still aced it though.

  • gas.............................

  • This is a great Etude by Brower, very intense, very mystical.

  • stellar performance & version amigo

the comment below critiquing your finger movement is ridiculous

thank you for the incredible resolution & well photographed video

    -JD

  • Great work, I'd love to see the next five...with regard to your right hand technique, your hand doesn't look too tense to me, but what do I know?

@jondunnproject My teacher strongly advocates the "joint knuckle" (as yakuzacruz calls it) technique, and I find I can get a lot more volume with a more relaxed right hand, but definitely use whatever works for you (it also seems to work for Paco de Lucia, from what I've seen on YouTube).

  • Nice work here.

The only criticism I have is that your RH strokes should come from the 'joint knuckle' (area connecting finger to hand) instead of the 'middle knuckle'.

    Keep it up!

  • that was great. but your right hand looks very tense

  • its good buti think u should watch ur pinky for better position :)

  • Well done.

I've been playing for a year and a half and almost got this piece done today, never studied it before, so watching your video has been very helpful.

    Keep studying.

  • gracias amigo

siga asi pues estah musical! oyga tu sentimiento!

  • very helpful for my practice tnxxxxX

  • :) Very good ...continue

  • Great job, but your right hand should be more relaxed!

  • I think the tempo is right, I also make a pretty similar interpretation, if u like, check it. /watch?v=bh3-mcW-i2M

  • Nice... I'm studying that music and it's so fantastic!

    Good interpretation

  • everybody's saying you should do it faster, but i'd say the opositte. it's suppose to have 1min4sec, so i guess you could slow down just a bit. i don't think this étude is about speed at all.

    don't you agree?

  • XD

    tamvien soy rockero

y me parese exelente tu interpretacion

    saludos y felicidades!!!

  • Bien.

  • good tempo, we can't obviate the indications written, and you keep it very well

  • *applause**applause**applause**applause**applause**applause* :O

  • very very good =)

I personally like to mess a little more with the tempo variations, play a little in a more "brazilian" way haha

    nevertheless, pretty good job!

  • i think it's the perfect tempo and your interpretation of the dynamics was beautiful! More or less i play it the same way (in terms of tempo and dynamics) but your version is much better :)

  • yay! i can play it at this speed :)

  • Wonderful.

  • really nice !!! Love this .

    Jasper

  • Heey really nice playing !!!

Have you done Coral 3 by Leo Brower? // Oskar

  • Thank you Oskar!

No, I will check it out.

    Best,

    Jasper :-)

  • bien hecho amigo

    take care =)

  • Thank you Oscar!

    Best regards,

  • Thanks! I'm learning this now, and it is very useful to see and hear your video

    Regards from Hungary!

  • this one is too easy, you study harder ones now, k?

  • Thanks for your video! I was just given this to learn by my instructor. Your video is extremely helpful and enjoyable. Warren.

  • Excellent my friend. I will enjoy viewing all of your videos.

    Ron

  • This tempo seems so fast. I think "movido" isn't so merry, but perhaps it gives it more life. I do think that.

    Great performance.

  • Thank you very much for this video, it helped me a lot.

    regards from Argetina

  • Great! By the way, your guitar is wonderful sounding too so the overall production of the audio is so important to make a good sounding guitar video. Tell us about your guitar.

  • Man That is awesome guide to this etude especially for you perfect left hand ready-press positions. Recently I posted this song not etude way but faster one. Thanks

  • Thanks BlueJazzyClassic!

    Love your version!

  • Well done. I know this play around this level, sadly I'm learning Brouwer XI at the moment, not this easy..

  • Good job. And I think it should be pointed out that you have really got the dynamics of this study down! The dynamics are too often overlooked.

    David

  • Thanks for commenting David!

    regards,

  • I don't have a video cam, or I would. The rhythm (for me) is more fluid and song-like, and I give the bass melody a bit of a slap (not, I'm afraid a very"classical" approach, I know) and this enhances the percussive quality that is inherent in the dance. You're a wonderful player and I think you might enjoy this approach. I'm a singer/guitarist with training as a guitarist as well as voice.

  • You're a very clean, crisp player....but where's the jinga? Brouwer made music that danced, and this is obviously one of those. Imagine a guajira coming down a mountain path with a basket on her shoulder, her feet counting the rhythm to a beautiful son. That bass should hypnotize and the higher voices merely echoing above.

  • Thanks for commenting wholehand. Maybe you can show me exactly what you mean, either by playing your version here or showing me a version which has your mentioned 'jinga'!

    Take care,

  • Dear Vabejas, thank you so much for your playing. You bring peace and joy. Healing my heart

    Aya

  • Very Nice. Great tone. Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent travail Jasper, bravo!

  • I love the energic drive you give this study,

Jasper - just what it needs!

    Regards, Maria

  • You're very kind Maria, thanks! I think it could do with even a bit more oomph, it's too much on the safe side maybe! But then again we're never happy, are we!

    Regards

  • Is that a Cedar Top or a Spruce Top?

  • Cedar, for more info, check my channel profile.

    Regards,

  • Hello Jasper!

    Keep playing!

    5 stars and a subscription!

  • Hi Per!

Very nice of you to stop by on my modest channel LOL, thanks a lot for your comment and subscription!

Good luck with your new CD, brilliant!

    Kindly,

  • Hola Vabejas!

Very nice music and excellent image. I will comment on the image because I am not a musician. I love the dark background in contrast with skin tone and wood. The light on the black fabric looks incredible. The video resolution is very good. Elegant video!Thank you for posting.

    Marie

  • Gracias Marie! I'm happy you enjoyed it, all cheap material, even the shirt :) but it does the job. Looking forward to more great video's from you and Per.

    All the best.

    Vabejas

  • That was awesome, Vabejasísimo!

    5 stars!!

  • Obrigado Julissima!

    Thank you for the stars!

    Paul

  • Hey nice one Paul! Good to have you here.

Your compositions are great, a challenge for the future.

    All the best,

  • Very good, very good...and a video in professional quality! Congratulations! Juergen

  • Thanks so much Juergen. I was just testing with black, a bit gloomy, unlike my nature I hope! :)

    Grüsse,

  • You are such a fine guitarist. wonderfully played mate!

    Take care,

    Liran

  • Toda Liran! I enjoy Brouwer at the moment, he leaves a lot of freedom for the player, I'll play it probably different in a couple of weeks, months. This is just a recording to see how it sounds now.

Hey, check out my new teacher. He plays like God and teaches even better. Damguitar on YT.

    CU!

  • My favourite Brouwer study. Really well played! It's in my favourites.

    doeidoei,

    Jolina

  • Yeppie! Thanks for favouriting! I'm in a Leo-mood at the moment!

    Hoihoi,

    Vbjs
