A little info for you: EXIT POLLS When people were asked whether taxes would rise if the Democrat were elected, 71 percent said yes. But 61 percent of them believed that McCain would raise taxes as well.

Do your research. Obama wouldn't raise taxes if it wasn't NECESSARY; McCain will do it too. You also have to consider those who won't have increased taxes. If your best friend is really that poor, then according to Obamas plan, your BF doesn't have to worry (taxes). ;)
