I don't get how the "3" is there when ur talking about "cubed" HELP!!!

The units are cubed because we're multiplying three dimensions. The width, the length, and the height each have a unit, like inches, for example.

We usually don't think of it this way, but we could include the units in our multiplication, something like this:

(2 in)(4 in)(6 in) = 48 in^3

Do you mean a rectangular prism?

A rectangle is a two dimensional figure and would only have area and perimeter.

To find the surface area of a rectangular prism, we need to find the areas of each of the rectangles that make up the surfaces of the object and add them all up.

you just need to use the formula then substitute "D

Surface Area = 2(L x w) + 2( W x H) + 2 (h x L)

V = L x W x H

where: L is length

W is width

H is height
