My point being: Christianity is no different, breaking up families, disowning non-believing relatives (jesus disowned his own mother in the bible, severing all familial ties himself to show his followers his example to live by). Just ask Damon Fowler what happened when he opposed the inclusion of prayer in his graduation ceremony. His parents disowned him, cut off all financial support and kicked him out of the house.
And every one who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. (Matt. 19:29-30) If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26) And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. (Matt: 23:9)
For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's foes will be those of his own household.
He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; (Matt. 10:35-37; Luke 12:51-53)
I'm an atheist, and I take issue with some things religions do, but never have I seen anything like Scientology. It is truly disgusting, and truly shows what we let 'religions' get away with in this country. I wish there was something I could do to take down Scientology, but quite honestly, I'm more focused on gay rights right now. There are others who are working to stop that bullshit, and I'll let them handle it until my work in LGBT rights is done.
@uriituw Except for the fact that they break up families and require their members to break off all communication with any family members who are not scientologists. That's the main problem that I have with this cult. If your children become catholic and you decide it's not for you. At least they will still talk to you instead of disowning you as parents.
@chopcow I'm an Athiest but Scientology is not on the same level as proper religions, I mean most of them have stupid stuff but a lot of it is based on historical events and so on.
Scientology is directly responsible for several deaths, blackmail, bribes, death threats, stalking and so on,
@chopcow you are right. Its an insult to compare Scientology to Roman Catholic or any other main stream Christian groups. Scientology breaks family and isolates a disbeliever painfully.
$cientologists are the scum of the fucking earth, they talk about Hitler and the persecution of Jews and claim that it was psychiatrists that were responsible for the holocaust - Fucking idiots
@tryandlisten the ideas behind hilter are exactly that, the beliefs he was operating on came from US psychiatry. Calling me scum of the earth? you may as well be a hitler or one of his minions. good luck with that.
@videonaj nice try $cilon, many of your cult have tried before to bullbait me with all sorts of name calling including being called a nazi. I really hope Nick Xenophon acheives his goal and gets rid of your cult out of Australia, you all make me sick.
@videonaj "THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM. You can write that down in your book in great big letters. The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them."
Very nice. It is a good point that without friends, even faith will fail. I think this is a common theme throughout Scrubs... I could be wrong... Any thoughts?
@JaimiMarieLovesMusic Like all groups, they believe in some good, but they also have the policy they can lie right to your face and hide information from their members and distroy their enemies. Which leads to them doing things like harrassing people and trying to get them falsely arrested and imprissoned.
It's basically a sect of elitist atheists. They believe exclusively in the theory of the big bang, hence it is how it sounds. Scientology. I'm an atheist, but I'm a long way off scientologist.

I just hate myself for liking so many of his films lol
because she'd just had isabella the last clean clothes she had that fit were jeans and a denim top. She went to the gap to buy some new clothes and one of the customers mistook her for an employee so she started giving customers advice
She was depressed and she felt she needed something to get her away from the baby. Btw, look at Turk's face when Carla talks about dropping and throwing Isabella. But seriously, PPD is real and people who really have it need professional help.
this show does do a good job of depicting human relation ships be it work, romance etc. obviously it does sacrifice that sort of thing for the sake of humour

As science catches up the same thing will happen with psychology, even if people do not truly understand or remember the dangers in ever taking it seriously.
You've got a point. Sciences change when new information comes to light, and religions generally keep the same ideas no matter how many times they are disproven. Notable exceptions include the Sun orbiting the earth, the earth being only 6000 years old, etc...
Ooh, an anti-religionist, how very clear thinking and rational of you to make vast sweeping generalities about all religions' redundancy.
The very essence of the civilization in which you surround yourself is shaped almost entirely by Christ. You have totally forgotten "Do Unto Others" etc, you live by it, vaguely (except when it suits, presumably, judging from your attitude) never once realizing that without such teaching we would still be barbarians killing each other for sport and profit.
Not really, Socrates had more of an impact than Christ did. "Do unto others" wasn't his invention, many had said that before him without claiming to be a demigod.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to every religion all the time (that's why I said "generally"). Christianity eventually conceded that the earth revolved around the sun, and not all religions have as hostile a relationship with scientific progress as Christianity does.
And Mrs. Cox isn't a psychologist, she's just the meanest person on the show (and, unlike in real life, the meanest people on tv are also the most honest). How's she supposed to help her?
It's not moral or immoral, it's comedy. Jokes. It doesn't participate in the whole good vs evil thing. Mrs. Cox is the meanest person on the show. To have her do what you suggest would be out of character and make no sense in the context of the show. I'm glad you told me about that! I'll tell all the psychologists to convert to scientology for you. Do you know how prophecy is viewed today? (I'll give you a hint, it has a few things in common with alchemy)
I take your point re: comedies' amorality, but prophesy? (Correct spelling, btw) There is nothing prophetic about my statment, it is based on many years careful research in both fields.
When a sportscaster tells the audience his prediction for a game, does he wear a shawl and look into a crystal ball?
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
You're claiming to know what's gonna happen in the future. That's prophecy. When a sportscaster tells his prediction for a game, he knows he's just guessing and is wrong as often as not.
K. If psychology stops acting as a science (experiments testing hypotheses to form theories, etc) within either of our lifetimes, I'll give you a thousand buck, and if it doesn't, you gotta leave me a thousand bucks in your will. Deal?
Yeah, but astrologers don't test their ideas, and correct them if they turn out to have been mistaken.
And for the record, Dr Cox barely credits ANY of the other doctors as doctors. He views practically everyone else with contempt because he is the bomb, but that doesn't mean they're not doctors.
Anon are not anti-religion.. We do not care what you believe in, but we are against the ABUSES that are commited by the leaders of the "church". No one are going after the Freezoners who practice scientology tech without milking the followers out of their money, NOR the abuse of their followers. I think the rank and file scientologist is a good person, but caught up in something that is evil and harmful because of the Co$'$ abuse of free speech and knowledge.
A survivalist dogma based around a position/belief of being a degraded super-being (now possessed by other even further degraded beings who are the source of all ones own problems). The whole(time)track since the beginning of Universe is littered with traumatic events that have caused One greater or lesser degradation up to the present time...your job is to follow Hubbard's (clearing)route out to regain your superpowers & recall of it all.
His research included Black Magic, Drugs & Hypnosis.
1980 Mary Sue Hubbard and 11 other Scientologists convicted of breaking and entering, and stealing US government documents.
1994 May 24. RTC attorney Helena Kobrin and the law firm of Bowles and Moxon fined $17,775 for filing a frivolous lawsuit.
1996 November. the former head of the Lyon France church convicted of manslaughter for pushing a Scientologist toward suicide. 14 others convicted of fraud and other charges.
Terry's corruption of the lulz is negligible at the moment. However, the fact remains that what he is saying is rather very misleading.
Disconnection isn't rarely used, as there are many people speaking out against it. People who lost friends and family. The fact that it is used at all is deplorable, much less 'not often'.
Also, Hubbard's policy states that repealing the use of the term doesn't change how one handles an SP. A rose by any other name, call it what you will, they still do it.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Let me spell that out for you because I am sure you view it as saying, "Don't publicize fair game, but continue its practice in secret". But that is not what it says. It says "the practice, the declarations, the activity that declares people to be fair game shall cease". That means stop, quit, happen no more. Then, as he often did, Mr. Hubbard gave reason. The policy about an SP (generally) is to remove them from the area they are causing trouble in. That is simple enough, no?
terryeo wrote "I understand that "Fair Game" has not been Church policy nor practice for many years."
The Fair Game policy was canceled by name only. If you actually read what Hubbard wrote, you will find that it still applies to "suppressive persons". And even if it was canceled, their actions for themselves. By the way, it's curious that they denounce crime, yet describe to their own Gestapo agents how to blackmail, force entry, gather intelligence, etc.
I confirm. When they 'retired' the use of 'fair game', they only retired the use of the term, not the actions accompanied with it. They are excellent at fooling the ones who don't know (until now). Just another example of how they get you tangled in their web. Read up some more terryeo, I think you could use it.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You're mistaken, mr. annoyingface. The policy clearly states; "stop, cease, desist, declare no more fair game". And then those policies about how to handle someone who was declared to be "fair game", are not in force, do you see? Because no one is declared "fair game" any more. It does not say what you think it says, it says what it does say. Cease, stop, no more persons shall ever be declared "fair game". And for old school hard-liners, recent policy disabuses your interpretation, too.
Regardless of whether COS still practices Fair Game or not, the fact that they once had such a policy in the first place should be reason enough to make any sane person head for the hills.
Then there is "Operation Freakout" and "Operation Snow White". Why would anyone want to be part of any organization that has such a history of criminal activity.
It's pointless trying to convince a COS member that their organization is corrupt. Living in denial feels safer.
Your thetans are being enturbulated. Your just as ignorant as the crazy bastard that made up this shit "religion". And don't tell me how to interpret things when everyone who is not a Scientologist and even when they are not for or against Scientology clearly reads it as a phrase dismissal, not a practicing dismissal. And they have the worst reputation in the world for you to be attempting defend them. Leave the fair-gaming and bad public speaking to Karen Pouw, head of the Shit-face OSA.
The HCO Policy Letter also states "This does not change the policy for handling of SPs"
How can this NOT be tantamount to encouraging either fair game or disconnection? LRon's basically saying either "Okay, we're cancelling the NAME fair game but allowing the practice to continue" or "Use disconnection more regularly to deal with SPs". Either interpretation isn't particularly encouraging.
hey terryeo.. Scientology is a CULT that brainwashes people and milks them of all thier money.
It is not a matter of avoiding scientology's doors."All that is needed for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"
Additionally, YOUR CULT, is sneaking into my world with its fake websites. Pretending to be: educational, doctors giving medical advice, and posing as a religous freedom watch and cult awareness network.
Scientologists aren't bad, it's the organization that corrupts them that's bad.
If I hadn't learned about COS history and practices before hand, I might have walked into a COS center and thought of it as an interesting solution towards personal growth.
That's their hook and bait.
Luckily, I learned beforehand from sites like xenutv and "Operation Clambake". Which is why it's so great that people are speaking out to educate and inform any potential new recruits.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Even you must recognize that your statements are opposite informed statements. Precisely, exactly, opposite the statements of the Church. And opposite the statements of those in good standing who have done OT levels. And opposite the statements of those in good standing who say they receive good value for donating. Against many, your opinion. No wonder you didn't communicate.
Oh hey terryeo, its you AGAIN!?!!?! What are your crimes terryeo!? WHAT ARE YOUR CRIMES!? After trolling a hundred Anonymous forums, you should know damn well by now that Scientology is a scam and yet you still defend it. We don't care if you go around saying that psychiatry is evil and all of that crap, but we don't take too kindly to "religions" that try to censor free speech. Any true religion would just shut the hell up and leave the Internet alone.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Mr. Welshon88, you say your free speech is censored when you can not freely post the video you steal. In today's world, every major religion has an internet presence. But we have created peaceful ways to get along together. How would you feel about your personal videos being stolen, edited and published?

Not really, Socrates had more of an impact than Christ did. "Do unto others" wasn't his invention, many had said that before him without claiming to be a demigod.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to every religion all the time (that's why I said "generally"). Christianity eventually conceded that the earth revolved around the sun, and not all religions have as hostile a relationship with scientific progress as Christianity does.

This is such a morally vacuous show, anyway, so I would expect no less. But the pertinent question to Mrs Cox(?) here is "why won't you help her?"
durashka123 3 years ago
Well she just did. Tough love.
martinfim 3 years ago
It's a comedy show, how could it be more moral?
And Mrs. Cox isn't a psychologist, she's just the meanest person on the show (and, unlike in real life, the meanest people on tv are also the most honest). How's she supposed to help her?
uberjim83 3 years ago
Check out my "-6". Whoo-hoo! I am perversely proud.
Just because it is comedy means one can excuse it's lack of morality?
Why should Mrs Cox not sit there with her, ask what is wrong, why she is unhappy etc? You think post-partum depression is a medical condition?
If so, I've a great technique for turning lead into gold I would like to talk to you about...
(Psychology will be looked on, in future, as alchemy is today, in case you missed the analogy.)
durashka123 3 years ago
It's not moral or immoral, it's comedy. Jokes. It doesn't participate in the whole good vs evil thing. Mrs. Cox is the meanest person on the show. To have her do what you suggest would be out of character and make no sense in the context of the show. I'm glad you told me about that! I'll tell all the psychologists to convert to scientology for you. Do you know how prophecy is viewed today? (I'll give you a hint, it has a few things in common with alchemy)
uberjim83 3 years ago
I take your point re: comedies' amorality, but prophesy? (Correct spelling, btw) There is nothing prophetic about my statment, it is based on many years careful research in both fields.
When a sportscaster tells the audience his prediction for a game, does he wear a shawl and look into a crystal ball?
durashka123 3 years ago
Cute pertinence:
Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
durashka123 3 years ago
You're claiming to know what's gonna happen in the future. That's prophecy. When a sportscaster tells his prediction for a game, he knows he's just guessing and is wrong as often as not.
uberjim83 3 years ago
Here, again, having not done the research, yourself, you assume I haven't.
If you say predictions are just guesses, I'll give you even money on any number of 100 to 1 outsiders, you like.
durashka123 3 years ago
K. If psychology stops acting as a science (experiments testing hypotheses to form theories, etc) within either of our lifetimes, I'll give you a thousand buck, and if it doesn't, you gotta leave me a thousand bucks in your will. Deal?
uberjim83 3 years ago
It will not stop, but it is a matter of raising public awareness to the point where people can see it for what it is: a sham.
People still got to see astrologers et al even thought the bulk of the rational population knows it for what is.
The same process will come into effect, here. In fact, it already has.
Dr Cox, himself, barely credits the psychologists as doctors.
durashka123 3 years ago
Yeah, but astrologers don't test their ideas, and correct them if they turn out to have been mistaken.
And for the record, Dr Cox barely credits ANY of the other doctors as doctors. He views practically everyone else with contempt because he is the bomb, but that doesn't mean they're not doctors.
uberjim83 3 years ago
um, psychologists aren't usually doctors. Most of them just stick with a masters.

Alkirin 3 years ago

Let me spell that out for you because I am sure you view it as saying, "Don't publicize fair game, but continue its practice in secret". But that is not what it says. It says "the practice, the declarations, the activity that declares people to be fair game shall cease". That means stop, quit, happen no more. Then, as he often did, Mr. Hubbard gave reason. The policy about an SP (generally) is to remove them from the area they are causing trouble in. That is simple enough, no?
terryeo 3 years ago
Wow, even making fun of Scientology, this show is still gay as fuck.
tuxfred 3 years ago
terryeo wrote "I understand that "Fair Game" has not been Church policy nor practice for many years."
EikC 3 years ago
I confirm. When they 'retired' the use of 'fair game', they only retired the use of the term, not the actions accompanied with it. They are excellent at fooling the ones who don't know (until now). Just another example of how they get you tangled in their web. Read up some more terryeo, I think you could use it.

And for old school hard-liners, recent policy disabuses your interpretation, too.
terryeo 3 years ago
Regardless of whether COS still practices Fair Game or not, the fact that they once had such a policy in the first place should be reason enough to make any sane person head for the hills.
Then there is "Operation Freakout" and "Operation Snow White". Why would anyone want to be part of any organization that has such a history of criminal activity.
It's pointless trying to convince a COS member that their organization is corrupt. Living in denial feels safer.
chopcow 3 years ago
Your thetans are being enturbulated. Your just as ignorant as the crazy bastard that made up this shit "religion". And don't tell me how to interpret things when everyone who is not a Scientologist and even when they are not for or against Scientology clearly reads it as a phrase dismissal, not a practicing dismissal. And they have the worst reputation in the world for you to be attempting defend them. Leave the fair-gaming and bad public speaking to Karen Pouw, head of the Shit-face OSA.
anoninyoface 3 years ago 4

Mr. Welshon88, you say your free speech is censored when you can not freely post the video you steal. In today's world, every major religion has an internet presence. But we have created peaceful ways to get along together. How would you feel about your personal videos being stolen, edited and published?
