  • As long as they produce good music is all that matters lol.

  • It doesn't matter what look or style was stolen or originated. It's a product of the environment they were in at the time.

  • Every bad ass song has that killer opening guitar riff. This one is NO different. ROCK ON /\m/\

  • Black sounds a little like Jack Russel and looks like Don Dokken here.

  • Why aren't these guys more popular?!? These guys rock, very underrated. Awesome video.

  • The best eighties, rock 'n' roll 4ever! \m/

  • Yes, @ Boris, that is very true! They had people videotape Richard and have Assle Rose study the moves. No secret there. Best show ever was Shark Island in Hollywood. Gathering of the Faithful is a great album to check out.

  • 1989 the best year of music

  • GREAT BAND !!!!!!!

  • Anyone notice he did the "surprise" at the beginning of the video. Way ahead of their time. They also did a couple of cool tunes for the "Bill and Ted" soundtrack. (God I'm old...)

  • World-Class!

  • Buena rola...!!!

  • Possibly the most kick ass hair metal era song of them all.

  • Very underrated. One of the best songs of this era

  • I can't believe this band never took off.

  • this is what the doors would've sounded like if jim morrison had lived to the 80s

  • Great song, but they should've edited out all the terrible dancing. 2:45 Napolean Dynamite... wtf.

  • One of the best bands of the late 80's and probably one of th greatest albums from the 80's... Richard is just all about cool man. He had the coolest moves, just ask Axl who actually stole his stage image and dance from Richard...

  • One of the best bands of the late 80's and probably one of th greatest albums from the 80's... Richard is just all about cool man.

  • @POOPHEAD411

  • @POOPHEAD411

    TELL HIM I SAID HI.

    THIS BAND ROCKS

  • @POOPHEAD411 Well then, your uncle kicks ass. I love this damn band.

  • Shark Island was a great band on the Hollywood Strip in the 80's. I loved listening and watching them. If you watch the singer (Richard Black)at the end of this video you will see where Axl Rose got his popular snake move from.Axl . Yep he stole it from Richard Black. Axl didnt even throw him a bone..

  • The singer is my uncle "Richard Black"

  • @rovokethinking So tell him to get Shark Island going again...

  • @rovokethinking haha my dad is spencer sercombe :D

    whats up with you guys?

  • @JonasGuitarMadness no way? Richard is living in LA. he still loves to make music. what about you

  • @rovokethinking haha similar over here, spenc lives in germany. he ended up being a music teacher but a has a few projects going...say hi to richard, i'm sure he remembers me!

  • @JonasGuitarMadness will doo

  • i think its obvious that Axel Rose rip this guys act off.

  • @boristhespiderman What the fuck are you even talking about? That's about retarded!

  • best band ever

  • great video production, from a virtually unknown band.. Love the video.

  • Fuck G'N'R... This band KIXX fucking ass. For all the haters, FUCK YOU TOO...

  • Whatever, this dude came up with the snakey dance? Is that what you want me to believe, AXL stole his little snakey dance from this dude? FUCK THAT!!!! Fucking little snakey dance....

  • The singer it's Axl Rose's mentor ,he';s the one who came up with the sanke moves that Axl made famous ,let's just say that Axl borrow them from hi

Richard Blake they were good ,just not good enough ,cometition was really tight , back then

  • My Old friend Spencer Sercombe on lead guitar. I am very proud to say that I was once in a band with Spence. Happy new year my friend! Call me!

    Bill Billing.

  • Yo this song is awesome! :D And the guitarist's son is part of my band ;) His son is like his dad XD They both freakin awesome.

  • I have played this song at least once a week for over a decade. This is truly a great song.

  • SOMEBODY SCREWED UP, THEY MUST HAVE HAD BAD REPRESENTATION, BECAUSE THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT TO THE BIG SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WIKKED SONG...souds awesome when you are flying on the road....without a care...

  • I miss this kind of music so much...I can remember listening to shark island on LP with my best friend when we where young

  • I'd rather listen to this one album called "Appetite For Destruction" XD

    Waaaayyyyy better

  • They just came on to the scene just a little to late..

  • I totally agree with tara bad kitty...great band...great vocals..

  • The singer's voice sounds like Jim Morrison's at the :28 mark.

  • @skelly19661 I totally agree...just what I was thinking before I even saw your comment.

  • @skelly19661 I agree, he has a hint of Morrison's voice. They are one of the most underrated hair bands of the 80's, they came out when hair bands were going & grunge & alternative were coming.

  • I still have this TAPE around here somewhere! Time to dig through the closet! GREAT BAND!

  • If Rush ever were to have gone hair metal in the late 80s or early 90s I would imagine the music would have sounded exactly like this.

  • this dude looks just like don dokken..great song, though, has a nostalgic feel to it!

  • Even as a 19year old girl growing up in very rural South Dakota with only Mtv's Headbangers Ball as an influence, I knew how inportant this band was and is! So to hell with you 222socks!!!!!!

  • Wow Axl may have stole your moves but that's all you had! And he makes it work a hell of a lot better! Sorry man.

  • Most underrated frontman ever.

  • @BaltimoreColt I dont know about frontman but underrated band for sure

  • Damm good Music.

  • One of the most amazing unrecognized underated bands ever!!

  • @cbrxx11 you got that right

  • @cbrxx11 you got that right just another in a long list of underrated late 80s early 90s bands

  • If you have a chance to find the album "Law Of The Order", get it! Damn fine album and worth the time to find it. I don't think it is any longer in print, but every once in a while you can find it using "different " avenues. Extremely solid from start to finish and most definitely worth the 45+ minutes to listen.

  • @CorkyfromAZ - You are 100% correct! I have S'Cool Buss, Law of the Order and Gathering of the Faithful. Love all 3 albums, and I LOVE these guys!! I was at their last show at the Roxy. So sad!!! You can buy their cd's on Ebay, but they arent' cheap! I would LOVE to know what Richard Czerny-Black is up to these days!! He's such a cool guy.

  • ¡Great L.A. Band!

  • Yes they were. Got to see them many times at Gazarri's and The Whiskey when I was living in L.A. Had a great live show. Too damn bad that they finally got some recognition at the end of the "glam band" days even though they were far from glam!

  • I saw them @ Gazarri's once and someone told me or I read somewhere that they were the house band for that club and I tought they were better than Guns N Roses live because Axel sounds like crap when singing live.

Very underated band at that time.

  • love this song..probably my favorite from them!

  • The whole Law of the Order album was solid. The remake they did of Fleetwood Mac's The Chain was spot on! I actually liked it better than the original! Paris Calling, to me, had a really driving sound, but was sexy at the same time. Too bad grunge came along a screwed everything up!

  • Awsome song. Totally underrated band.

  • @johnnyz11

yeah there are alot of underrated bands and it sucks bc alot of them deserves to be much more credited then what they get
