This was a good film. I just watched it. Im a blues fan, i wouldnt consider myself an expert though. From what ive read it was decently accurate, but apparently reading more into it has its flaws. But its just a movie and it was an enjoyable one at that.

@bottle2lip I agree! From what I've read, it's not too accurate but I think everyone played theirs parts very well. When the wolf turns up in the movie, it's really something! What an arrival! What a presence! I think that was fairly accurate to how he would have been! The wolf has this look that says 2 things: 1. I know something you don't and 2. I know you're scared of me! haha!

I don't think this DVD is at all representative of the Chess Producing Corp, operation in Chicago. Pretty mild compared to the real truth. Another tribute like the film Lansky, but even more phony.

Saw the movie and can't stop thinking about it. BK was about the only compliment who could stand up to EJ. Both women are incredible and I won't say anything negative about either one of them. This was a GREAT movie.

this movie was surprisingly good. i agree that beyonce is a horrible actress but i think she gave her all in this movie. ive neva seen her do so well in a film. oh and columbus short (lil walter) is soo sexy.

Muddy already knew about 'them Rollin Stones' when they came to Chicago to record. Wolf was doing great, but Muddy was having a 'fallow period'. He set up a 'scene' for when they got there: When they walked into the studio he was up a ladder, in BVD's. painting the walls. L. Chess went along with the joke and told them "yeah, Muddy ain't selling too well at the moment so we gave him a few odd jobs to tide him over". They didn't know it was a set-up and were pretty shocked....True

Have to see this movie, didn't know about it. Agree about Beyonce - she's a good singer n all, but I saw Etta James 1980(i think) and she tore up the house...( R n B)..Raunch'n' Blues! compares more with Koko Taylor than BK.........Small point: them "stones" are talkin like the Beatles. They didn't, they were Londoners.

Seems like a Pop singer got a whole lotta Mileage & Career Advancement out of an Original. There are viddies all over YT re.The Movie, and too many of them center on BK. Hot damn that was good! I agree, the producers could have refined the movie a bit more with less swearing and I know it's a raw and gritty history, But, it is history and a part of music culture that every generation can look back on. Don't those boys know how to act when they get a little money in their pockets?
