@Tom6093 two completely different styles of drumming..... that's for damn sure.
that's like comparing mike portnoy to steve gadd. both amazing drummers, two different genres. go learn common sense before trying to bash any talented drummer.
great timing,,,you have a quick and soft touch, not found in alot of drummers. most just beat, you know? instead of just playing chops, you seem to me to be writing beats. something we could follow along with. very very good job, I'll be buying your music, forsure! peace, JDL
Lose the double bass pedal but its still awesome. just learn how to play with one pedal and it would be amazing. Check out Thomas Pridgen (typical gospel chops)
Hey dude, your tom fills are so fluid and fast. Ive been playing for 3 years and my playing is still really ordinary. what exercises would you recommend that i practice to get my fills and beats to the next level
@jdt75176 try learning some gospel chop fills, or licks from zach hill(good luck transcribing it though)but i know there are like 2 gospel chop vids of them breaking down an awesome groove, and there is one guy that shows you how to play some zach hill licks...apart from that learn a songo, the 32nd note linear groove from steve gadd...or get rick lathams funk book, it's transcribed great for the kit and shows amazing fills and accent patterns...if you want a challenge get "the unreel drum book"
@jdt75176 if you haven't worked on jazz, working on it, and really learning new styles make you creative in everything as fuck once you learn them for some odd reason. it really helps you not only know new stuff but improves your over playing and other styles you know
@EdgeSnare I was kind of waiting for the snare to come on too... this was an amazing solo.... Very nice, but just a little constructive critique I would have turned it on too. The solo had the exact same mood the entire time when you really should have built on it... that pumps people up... start slow and smooth end rockin out.....
@777samuraijosh It's better with snares off. For what he's playing, he needed another melodic-sounding drum, which he got with the snares off. You see?
Dude, i've been watching your videos for some time now. You have the chops down but you're lacking grooves.Try cutting back on flashy fills. It seems like there is no real structure to your performance.
very very good , i'd say add more dynamics in , but put a lot of difference between them so they are clear , but really really great work man keep it up
Some handy chops you have stashed away in that pocket! Kudos brother, keep it up!

Looking good, watched 2 videos of your wins (09?) and (10) [this one]
I think the cymbal work in 09 was missing in this one?
still great stuff, relaxed and very well put together, as well as well played
been playing for over 40 years and I can honestly say there is always something you can learn from every other drummer
as my music teacher always said; u just have to view it as an opportunity rather than a competition
good job
peace )
