  • Some handy chops you have stashed away in that pocket! Kudos brother, keep it up!

  • MAN NICE!!!!!!!!! HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN PLAYIN?

  • Skill...mad skill. Better the Travis...thats for dam sure.

  • @Tom6093 two completely different styles of drumming..... that's for damn sure.

that's like comparing mike portnoy to steve gadd. both amazing drummers, two different genres. go learn common sense before trying to bash any talented drummer.

  • ur hats still on wrong

  • like your style bro

  • And he's cute!!

  • awesome man, loved it

  • you sir are awesome!

  • dude u should make lesson videos, i would watch them cause i would like to learn different fills that i could do in my band

  • Nice

  • mother of GOD!!!!!!!

  • Looking good, watched 2 videos of your wins (09?) and (10) [this one]

I think the cymbal work in 09 was missing in this one?

still great stuff, relaxed and very well put together, as well as well played

been playing for over 40 years and I can honestly say there is always something you can learn from every other drummer

as my music teacher always said; u just have to view it as an opportunity rather than a competition

    good job

    peace )

  • Holy shit way better than 09 nice man.

  • Amazing

  • great timing,,,you have a quick and soft touch, not found in alot of drummers. most just beat, you know? instead of just playing chops, you seem to me to be writing beats. something we could follow along with. very very good job, I'll be buying your music, forsure! peace, JDL

  • Man you make that all look far too easy...excellent accents! Very well done!

  • born to play!! Great feel

  • They may as well packed that kit up and loaded in your car for you as the grand prize.

  • that was ridiculous!!!

  • I bet that you could get a job at mycymbal. com without a problem...you probably top more than half their players!

  • I found myself clapping at the end.

  • Dude..It was kindof boring

  • @paperpro3223 Exactly what I was thinking.

  • Awesome! I get the sense you're a fan of Vinnie...?

  • that snare is not on lol

  • good improv and syncopation. but you had NO solid groove at all ...

  • 2:40...

  • 2:40...holy shit

  • Hmm very Good!

  • major improvement. This solo is alot more musical than the 09 one. i like this one alot

  • I think you are getting much better then the last videos.

  • Do you groove? I would like to see more of that.

  • I love your control. You're so chill on the set. Like you're not even trying!

  • great job man i think yu should have turned yur snares on at some point but besides that really nice keep drumming man

  • you can play a rool congrats....why not try playing the drums instead of just making noise?

  • wow! you got some groove!

  • Lose the double bass pedal but its still awesome. just learn how to play with one pedal and it would be amazing. Check out Thomas Pridgen (typical gospel chops)

  • nice job ! i'd like to hear you with a good band and see where you are in 3 years . great stuff !

  • You are great!! you remind me to Mappe Bossio, drummer of La Triple Nelson, you should check it out!!! I think you´ll enjoy it.

  • holy fuck, the last 30 seconds blew me away dude!!! amazing!

  • Thank snare is better sounding than all the toms you have here combine. I think that's all you should use.

  • Nice fluid fills but would like to hear some more grooves.

  • niiiiiiccceee!!

  • yo man, sick job. your mechanics are money

  • this is sick as hell. great work man

  • Hey dude, your tom fills are so fluid and fast. Ive been playing for 3 years and my playing is still really ordinary. what exercises would you recommend that i practice to get my fills and beats to the next level

  • @jdt75176 try learning some gospel chop fills, or licks from zach hill(good luck transcribing it though)but i know there are like 2 gospel chop vids of them breaking down an awesome groove, and there is one guy that shows you how to play some zach hill licks...apart from that learn a songo, the 32nd note linear groove from steve gadd...or get rick lathams funk book, it's transcribed great for the kit and shows amazing fills and accent patterns...if you want a challenge get "the unreel drum book"

  • @jdt75176 if you haven't worked on jazz, working on it, and really learning new styles make you creative in everything as fuck once you learn them for some odd reason. it really helps you not only know new stuff but improves your over playing and other styles you know

  • Very nice but try to give it a theme and some stronger form. They love good composition.

  • play something other than the snare

  • @sabian4114 your mad...

  • amzing i wish i could play like that thumbs up

  • thats was awesome dude!

  • pretty sweet but did you forget to turn on the snares

  • @EdgeSnare It's either off, or the snare's crap.

  • @EdgeSnare I was kind of waiting for the snare to come on too... this was an amazing solo.... Very nice, but just a little constructive critique I would have turned it on too. The solo had the exact same mood the entire time when you really should have built on it... that pumps people up... start slow and smooth end rockin out.....

  • @777samuraijosh It's better with snares off. For what he's playing, he needed another melodic-sounding drum, which he got with the snares off. You see?

  • VERY AWESOME!!!!

  • Dude, i've been watching your videos for some time now. You have the chops down but you're lacking grooves.Try cutting back on flashy fills. It seems like there is no real structure to your performance.

  • Idk why but somewhere around 1:11 to 1:14 is pretty sick!

  • Nice man, sounds really great. Nice rhythm and control

  • I think I'd be for putting the snare on...

I felt like it was hard to count.

You have the chops though. I like to be licked a little funky myself though.

  • nice style

  • I will tell you one thing that this guy is missing. There is no ostinato that he is soloing over. Even a simple Samba would get the judges attention!

  • what kind of pedals your rockin?

  • @9clem9 DW's 9002's

  • dudeee this is sick! keep it up!

  • Love the control! You took what you knew and mastered it! Thats how you bring it! Good job!

  • very very good , i'd say add more dynamics in , but put a lot of difference between them so they are clear , but really really great work man keep it up

  • Sounded good man.

  • Dang man. You're sounding really, really tight. I love your style and drive. Keep it up bro

  • Dude, you are getting a lot better from previous videos, a lot more control and maturity, great job

  • @UCABearBone Thank you !

  • looks like chris henry..(dude i graduated with). good stuff though.

  • remarkable!
