  • @rclarock...Eric B was the DJ, but bakindadayz Rakim produced most of dem beatz..look it up!

  • @HeadHipHop Eric B interviewed Rakim extensively on his radio show when this album dropped & they mostly reminisced about the past & had a bunch of laughs. You can tell they're both real cool with each other nowadays but for some reason they still haven't come back together! That interview is on here in several different parts because it was so long.

  • I dont know how this wack nigga has fans

  • illest book dropped on

MCing, with the pioneeers putting down

in words the true skillz needed, title-is-

    ...H .OW ..:; TO .;:...R .AP..

    truly incredible

    piece of history, that book

  • I don't know who Maino is but he did good on his verse, Rakim is always respectful to the game as ever by listening to young artists and helping them on their way to express their messages as he once did.

  • LOVE RAKIM..BUT THIS BEAT IS WACK..NO FEELING TO IT....DOES NOTHING FOR ME...

    BORING DRE BEAT...my comment....ERIC B.....WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!

  • @RCLaROCK1 Dre didn't do the beat and it's not that bad, but it still it isn't Eric.B...

  • which parts rakim? the beggining sounds like him but idk can anyone tell me?

  • eric b? didnt he get killed? i thought he did

  • Im 14 yrs old n idont evn gotta think twice bout it:this 100x bettr than anything out now

  • Empirical, transcendental, straight-off the dome DOPE-MATIC...Rakim is GOD; he's the zenith, the peak, the high-arching lyricist. Peerless delivery, Ra's style makes any comparison to Nas a moot point: Nas does not have the flow, the inner-eye philosophical stamina to out-verse the R on even his most inspiring day. Moreover, Rakim makes it sound effortless; he's street-wise, strand-up in every way. There's no bigger thief than a bad rap, and whatever Rakim touches is solid gold. Flow Forever

  • Shut'em down, Shut'em down !

  • biggie and pac are better than this dude, rakim don't have shit on them! they are the true kings of hip hop legends.

  • @arnie157 You can't POSSIBLY be serious?!? lmao Neither of those dudes would EVER be able to see "the R" lyrically...smh

  • @daboss88100 buddy no probs man it's kool if you like this dude better, but biggie is the most gifted rapper ever period his lyrics & story telling is umatched. he never wrote any lyrics down, just went on the mic and spit his magic. big & pac changed everything about hip hop: the way ppl spoke, dressed etc they had a huge influence on society esp pac. he stood up for blacks respectively, rapped about the struggles in society & opened ppls eyes & hearts to the troubled world we live in. :)

  • @arnie157 Yes, I agree that everyone is entitled to their OWN opinion, however, we can agree to disagree on a couple points. First, I believe Slick Rick the Ruler was the GREATEST storyteller rap music has ever had, and I also believe your comments concerning Big & 'Pac applies to rap music after 1992....Rap did not BEGIN then, and the man largely responsible for paving the way for THEM cats to eat is RAKIM ALLAH, da God MC...he MADE niggaz get they weight up, lyrically, and raised the bar 2!!

  • @daboss88100 I disagree slick rick is the greatest story teller ever! I don't think anybody compares to big in that department listen to "I got a story to tell" first half of the song is him rapping about events, 2nd half of the song is him telling his mates the events. Yes I kno hip hop came out BEFORE pac & big, but no other rappers had or ever will have an influence on society than pac who I believe is the best rapper of all time. Thats true about Ra he set the standard for rappers.

  • @arnie157 Perhaps we will just have to agree to disagree then...but thats what is so great about music and fans of music: you are entitled to your favorites, as well as your opinion...

  • @daboss88100 yes thats very true I appreicate your comments peace to you brother. May music live forever!

  • @arnie157 ...and peace be unto you, as well!! Here here for hip-hop music to continue to grow!!

  • @daboss88100

damn good music leads to good discussions. No hating, no ´trolling´, this place here has a higher standard

  • @pjetrs So true...simply a musical debate and exchange of opinions and ideas concerning the music we ALL love!! Long live hip-hop music!!!!

  • @arnie157 Biggie is great but its guys like you that are the reason why Biggie is so damn over rated. I can understand Tupac being better but Rakim is way better than Biggie any day. Biggie is more famous for feuding with Tupac and dying early than for his actual musical ability.

  • people are commenting about MAino, here's a fact Rakim wanted to promote NY MC's and if he wants MAINO on the song (who had a tight verse) who the fuck are we to argue just snjoy a sick ass song

  • why did he do it with maino or did he forget that he is the God MC. Maino is better than lil wayne so I am not angry.

  • rakim is da greatest mc alive

  • i love this nigga he is the mother fuckin king of hip hop

  • @piscolpis nb,n

  • some of the realest shit i ever heard.

  • Da Dada DA! Da Dada Da! :p

  • rakim god, maino did well too!

  • You want to help RAKIM. BUY HIS ALBUM

  • Comment removed

  • "cuz now I make music for the C-Notes" man... that ain't hip-hop. Sorry for whoever loves this song, but this shit iz garage to his old songs. I had the albums 18th Letter and The Master for years, but I never really sat down and listened to them. This week I been bumpin' them A LOT so I figured I'd check out this album. Also, I hate theze new rap era beats... not tight.

  • one of the best feat. songs ever!

    "Music You Deserve To Hear"

  • I waited for this album for 2 years, got tired of waiting, and JUST NOW learned that it was out. I'm sick of ppl pushing albums back!

  • only just discovering Rakim!! i knew who he was jus never listenedto him

  • Daz y i aint hafta make a album yet!!!!!! Dis cat gimme wut i need as far as music go! I fox witit!

  • Is it just me or does Maino sound like a shittier version of Young Jeezy?

  • damn this dude should be mentiened with pac almost every time hes talked bout and complimented

  • propsy z Polski ; D

  • Youtube "Costa aka Capo" if u fuk wit REAL HIP HOP.

Listen to "No Class", "Fair One", and "Listen".

Capo aka MF iz the hottest Underground MC right now so fuck wit 'em

  • excellent!

  • its good ..dosent need to change...

  • The 7TH SEAL is now being opened on IAMJESUSmovie channel.

  • @IAMJESUSmovie how can you be jesus when im jesus?

  • NEW YORK GOD IS BACK REAL HIP HOP

  • FIRE!

  • Maino is fucking horrible,im a bit upset that Allah chose to do a song with him. But whatever,Ra still destroys it

  • Bigger and better coz he's standing on truth now! Keeping it real, I truly blieve Rakim is the unsung heroe of hip-hop, a true general, as an ex U.K rapper I feel he is far more legendary that artists like LL Cool J etc etc, God is with him, he's hardly aged in 25years!

  • Yo! I must be tripping!!! The (True) God MC is back!!!! This is what all other rappers should aspire to. RakimAllah is the originator of this hip-hop industry! He definitely gets my vote as the "Greatest Rapper/Lyricist of ALL TIME!!!" (Biggie,Pac, Jay and anyone else that wants to claim the throne as KING need to bow down in Saaat before God Himself...Peace)

  • Rakim=doped em=mini doped

  • rakim killed it! i dont even know who that other guy is but he should done this with nas.

  • yea i agree wit u, nas and rakim on a track would send the hip hop world on fire!

  • I think Rakim would sound good with Method man.

  • yea thats an ill combo, both meth and ra have a smooth laid back flow

  • @mickjagger64 rakim and big daddy kane would be amazing, have they made any songs together?

  • @hockeyrapps3 I honestly don't know

  • @CHUROKONE maino

  • @CHUROKONE its Maino and if Rakim thinks he should be in the joint who are we to argue

  • @CHUROKONE totally agree

  • Damn !! this is the rakim I know. Tha R is back.

  • maino is a piece of shit

as a person and a rapper

much respect to rakim for putting this album out, but maino, really....doesnt make sense

  • How has the album done in the states? Very much under the radar in the Uk, but i really believe it's one of the best hip hop albums in a while! Awesome! Favourite track is no.3 Documentory of a gangster sick beat !!

  • I think its at 30k here in the states, but your right it is under the radar but truly the best hip hop album in a while

  • Thats Suprising ! U have people like lil wayne, t pain etc shootin up the charts, it just seems odd a real gem of a hip hop album like this just doesn't sell ! But in a way i kind of like that.!

  • Yea but thats the reality of the music industry........they hype up the mainstream artist and try to push the vets out, its a cold world i tell ya

  • the renaissance, pro tools, only built 2...

  • Rakim is a living legend. I don't see the appeal of Maino. I mean, he not a bum, but he's very very average.

  • ure right but u gotta admit maino's verse was ill..... i aint really into maino's music either but this verse was just toooo impressive, he was able to hold his own on this joint

  • big ruthless/i am hiphop rakim newphew song its hot it must run in the family

  • straightup legend RAKIM

  • Do Me A Z-ro

  • maino fuckin killssss it

  • Rakim the Rap god !!! peace from Macedonia

  • Rakim da legend, Maino da talent, real rappers , real talk.

  • @uthmanamoni id like to reply to ur msg on behalf of 'lemondestanous' ima make it real nice and clear, ALLAH refers to the all might gracious, powerfull, peacfull, loving, kind and another 94 amazing names u get my drift right? ALLAH ''CREATED'' humans yes YOU too, earth that ur living on air that ur breathing, plants, wildlife, this whole universe and so on. This rakim guy 'created' no sorry 'thought' of sum lyrics, beat and made songs so Y would u even bother thinking of calling him ALLAH...?

  • umm..just to make it all smple...we call him allah cuz of his name..relax..sec of all..he can be placed and named as the God of rap...ya dont like it..understandable..no one forcin u 2 say it as well..just relax peeps..and enjoy the music!!!

  • @derzi911 Take it easy bro and just focus on yourself. Judge yourself before you judge others. I'm sure you've made millions of mistakes. May God forgive us all.

  • his birth name is griffin something but he changed his name to rakim allah so his name legally is rakim allah and his considered to be the god of hip hop

  • @CheGuevaraNY William Michael Griffin Jr. but Rakim sounds way better

  • @mak4lyf2 agreed

  • because you cannot call yourself God there is only one God which is Allah. No I do not know who the rakim allah is.. tell me uthmanamoni

  • Well I don't know if u should call ur second name Allah. Let the ALLAH judge him,he is great rapper, doesn't rap about all that dirty stuff, good man, I let ALLAH judge him :)

  • damn dis shit is so crazy im gettin chills!!

  • Rakim; the shit

  • This a representation of the Time and what must be done...Rakim Allah has always been able to change the atmosphere with God Lyrics...Peace

  • What Happen to Eric B

  • Rakim Allah is not a great name for a muslim where he is using the most used name of God in his name.. Still he has been and still is hip-hop! \Remember listening to eric B & Rakim that was the old school like Pac said!

  • @lemondestanous why would you say that Rakim Allah is not a great name for a muslim? Any name bearing the name of Allah would seem to be great. Do you know what or who the Rakim Alllah is?

  • What did you guys expect? It's none other than The God.

  • yup.. tight ass beat. i had to cop the cd. rakim aint lost his shine at all.

  • phat shit, really GooD! 5 *Stars*

  • amazing this takes my mind of all the shit in my life!

  • GOT NO PREMO BEATS. on the album

  • LEGEND?! Rakim is not a legend. Legends are those who make there mark in the world and then fall off the earth to never return. Rakim made his foot print in the rap game has remained there. Made music for those who were real and had real since. Corporate America has created legends through what they sell. Rakim is above that. If did endorse something it was something he always stood for.

  • @LiterallyLogical dam yo you soooooooooooooo fucking right yo........PEACE

  • THIS SONG IS HOT!!!!!!!!

And it s nice to see legends stil doin it!

  • the generation today definitely ruined his potential

  • Not really, this is hot. Personally I think too many people focus on what artists USED to be, if you want the Follow the Leader album then listen to that one or whichever time you liked the him in, but as time goes by things change, his perspective, music in general and so on, so no matter what he wouldn't sound like he did in the 80's or 90's because he aint the same person and the world isn't the same anymore..

  • THE REAL MASTER

  • Dey say dont let it make you

but thats how dey rape you

    & the more you got

    the more dey hate you

    (thats ok 2)

  • raised you not rape you

  • nevermind its rate you

  • man il ike this dont know whatz wrong betta than all these corny fifty lil wayne rick ross blabla ;)

  • "All means necessary/Malcom X hustle

    MAJESTIC"

  • This was not worth the long wait. "Holy Are You" is really the only good one.

  • the haters can just hate but don't blame them they just dumb deaf and blind

  • i heard the album was average at best, honestly i cant say i would be surprised if it was completely awful, hes been around 20+ years you cant expect someone to really rap that long.

  • Why Not people sing that long or more. Listen we have to Preserve this Art. I mean Black Sabbath perform on walkers yet people go see them. We gotta get like this

  • very good album. No matter how rakim delivers it its pure mastery

  • This album was very good real hip hop.

  • Great album. HH is not dead yet. As long as albums like this one coming out

  • Much love, real music right here. Cant believe people like the dumb your a jerk shit over this...

  • real rap

  • rakim's "seventh seal" and raekwon's "only built 4 cuban linx 2" are my two favorite albums that came out lately. this shit's so nice son,.

  • ok i gotta go this album didnt even know it was out...yea that real shit here...yes

  • Maino and Rakim the GOD, WTF IS GOING ON!

  • Anyone who thinks Rakim is bad, Shitheads go listen to Wayes A Mili, I wanted to shoot myself after I first heard it, Rakim is the best, the Album is good,

  • damn this is so good to my ears, rakim is back! its so sad only 7 thousand people have heard this, damn i wish i lived in the 90s when hiphop was fucking amazing. having maino on this track was a stupid move i cant stand maino, rakims verses are bomb though

  • yeah waste of a guest appearance if u ask me, could've put krs or someone instead...

  • man had reasons for his verses, just accept it it and enjoy. new album is that good fake MCs are shootin themselves

  • The god mc stays true to his craft blessing the mic .

  • nice (frumos)

  • Yo I had to buy Rakim's new CD "7th seal" da 1st day it came out. All I have to say is, he hasn't sold out once in his career. As a hip-hop follower ever since way back; listening to greats like "Main Source"_"Gangstarr"_"Pete Rock &CL Smooth"..ect...I have to say this cd brings back the 90's griddy rap ALIVE once more. Hip Hop 2day is not the same PERIOD. All of ya's that be hating on this cd, take a listen to it again. you'll change ur mind.!! Rakim u Soldier by heart. Word is Bond!

    Bronx, NY

  • Real Talk yo

  • @freedomland11 - I Just Bought It Myself....made a video about it....

  • @freedomland11 much respect sir/maim i have to sub to u somtime

  • Nice beat! Raw shit!

  • Da album was alright.. not as good as expected but still pretty good.. dre shoulda produced something on da album

  • I just listened to it...Its a good album for sure, but I was expecting tracks with busta rhymes and Jada kiss to be on the album..but stil rakim is still on top of his game though!

  • i know he shoulda had jada instead maino... ra still can spit though.. his album is better than all da garbage thats coming out now in days.

  • thats whats up

  • who ever dissin this shit, he aint got no idea about hiphop realtalk yo i mean this shiit is firrrrrrrre

  • 4 more days for the seventh seal :D

  • keep geeting better

  • Yea you were the first, but I NEVER tire of RAKIM ALLAH the inspirational GOD! I still listen to at least one song from every album. Relevant. That's what he about!! Word to the God.

  • Thanks for uploading this song..

  • You're welcome.

  • this guy will hand Jay - Z his hat!

I like Jay-a lot...really, but I don't like any Emcee better than Ra (God) Kim (within)

Cannibus is nice on another plane close to Ra-but not there...Jay Z flow is smoother than Cannibus', but it ain't mo clever than the Ra! dats what's up!

Ra Jay Cannibus and everybody else...now Dre is nice, and he smooth but he don't do it quite as clever as Jay or Ra, but he's smoother than Cannibus but cannubus would eat Dre up!

  • dont give a damn about maino, rakim is fucking legend!!

  • holy fuk this album is so nice, i know hes been around but this might be the crown drop! fuk its good to hear down ass real rap peace ra

  • this song woulda been better without maino on it

  • This song would of been better with Nas on it.

  • i THOUGHT THE SAME THING!!!

    waaaa

  • you are so right

  • wow from some of the comments i guess rakim was right "hating is the naute of man" stop hatin on the microphone fiend hes gonna do his thing, drop this album, and its gonna be bomb

  • Been waiting for Rakim for loooong time!!! Finally

  • who is that on the second verse?

  • Maino
