i used to have this one an cpl other cartoon shorts on vhs, need HELP with the name! i thnk it was called FEATHER FROLICS or somthin.....anyone remember??
@Terekyn49 I'm amazed that you liked it because kids nowadays don't even understand common sense because of the unnecesary complexities of modern society. Anyway, congratulations for enjoying simple, normal fun!
this is one of the cartoons that made me love watching cartoons...I loved watching this from when I was a little kid....this Filix the can and ,mighty mouse...as a matter of fact, this was on the mighty mouse VHS I had....I love it.....!Hello everybody!
i luvvv luvv luvv this ....but how can yu not . im one of those big old cartoon fans even tho ther waaaay before my time, i was born in 1996 but im in to cartoons from the early 1900's
@Gazzatron112 well I think that was a first prototype animations of terrytoons talking magpies and then next is the true segments heckle and jeckle the talking magpies in: "the uninvited pests" on youtube(dot)com/watch?v=g7RUl2W0XpM
obviously they're both male magpies, one is new york accent and one is british accent, Their names were inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's famous novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
These two fucking crazy large ugly birds, really made me laugh a lots in my childhood!!
I'm 45 now,and can´t forget these wonderful and innocent cartoons.
The cartoons nowadays,are trash!!
Explicit violence in cartoons is not for kids!!
One day I saw a Japanese cartoon, and an evildoer and merciless character killed a couple of elderly...why the hell do they have to show cartoons like that on T.V.?
Yeah, you are 20 years younger than me,konokitsune, but if you should have lived in the time of my childhood, you would have seen everything was so different, specially cartoons,as they really were quite innocent.
I'm true,I don't really like anime,I mean,don't find it funny.
When we were children,we didn't have any technology available on our hands, and now, that you belong to other generation that has it available in many ways, try to enjoy it the most you can!!
I'm sorry... but as an animation student who has spent more time watching animation from all over the world, new and old, artistic stuff no one would ever see on Tv, I find the "new stuff is junk" a complaint that isn't just worn out , but an insult to aspiring animators everywhere. Especially the all anime is garbage whining. There is ALWAYS something good... you just have to bother looking for it. I love classic animation the most, but at least I have an open mind.
@mightyfilm Mightyfilm I completely agree with you Anime is not the highest artform in animation but a cult for young animators. If they want to take animation seriously they better start looking at other styles and films because at this point anyone going in because of anime is not setting their standards very high and aren't diversifying their portfolio.
That's what bugs me. You can ask any so called anime fan what their favorite is, and you'll get something that came out in the last 15 years. It takes video games for people to know of classic shows where all the tropes come from. I Study the stuff and always look for what people aren't watching. But frankly, I'm not talking anime. A serious animator has to look for things all over the world and from EVERY time period. Even now.
absolouter classic , everyone I ask bout this cartoon nobody else remembers it, we need these classic cartoons back along wi sharky an george an the old version of teenage mutant turtles
This was the first screen appearance (in 1946) of what would eventually become "Heckle & Jeckle". Dayton Allen was the voice of the "Real Estate Agent" {doing his 'Hugh Herbert' impression at one point}, "Farmer Alfalfa" and "The Dog" {"Du-h-h-h.."}. Tom Morrison and Dayton "shared" the voice of "Mr. Magpie". "The Little Flower" is a topical reference to the nickname of New York's then Mayor, Fiorello LaGuardia....
damn i hate bad neighbors, i have a neigbor who keeps on spying on me and people im a kid 12 years old and hes like ten, i bet hes gay, can someone please tell me how to get him back????????????

I miss this so much, hah kids nowadays have too much at their disposal to appreciate something of this calibre.
watching things in 3d and with all the graphics of today, they forget that what really matters.
