I work at a Mercedes dealer. The swap wasn't too difficult. Basic engine swap. The factory ecu is running the engine. The S/C engine wiring harness was modified accept the older ecu found in the '98. No tune has been installed yet. Drives fine though which is baffeling to any tuner

How hard was the swap? Did you need to change the computers and all the wirring with the SC engine? I have a c43 and i would love to upgrade it like you did to yours.

The noise is from the serpentine belt. It got sprayed by coolant before start up. It eventually went away.
