Hmm, so I guess you can't really combo in Brawl huh? It looks like everytime there *appears to be* a set up, the opponent can just jump way the hell away. So is Brawl mostly just hit and run?
You have to work harder for the combos, but they're still there. I've seen Zamus pull someone out of the air with upB, stun them with Dsmash, and knock them away with sideB. But yea, due to the improved DI, combos in general seem top be harder to pull off.
it got pretty intense when there was only one life..

Meh, I didn't like the Zamus's play style too much. Too much reliance on the Fsmash and the Dair and I don't think I saw any of her Dspecial jumps.
But it's all personal preference, both players played well.

Sure there are. They are as long as you can consecutively attack your opponent so that they can't move.

actually, it can, they are called Chain moves, and there are such things as Chaingrabs.
