  • would you say the clean channel on the reissue is better than the hot rod deluxe clean channel in tone quality, some say I would be crazy to sell my new hot rod deluxe to buy something like the deluxe reverb reissue, because its not that much or an better, they say I would have to spend double that to notice a great difference.

  • seriously "tonemaster"? i watched the video on your channel and as an objective third party i would say this guy beats the hell out of your stadium rock/smooth jazz schmaltzy crap tone. your playing sucks as bad as your attitude

  • you do not no how to get good tone maybe some day?

  • @tonemastertn its way better than your tone, way way better

  • Wow!!! He has three hands!!!!!

  • same boring licks over and over again......

  • A tweaker isn't even in the same ball park soundwise- sorry. Maybe it works for you, but it doesn't have any of the magic that a deluxe has.

  • He's owned both I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about

  • @ruffles272 Just a difference in opinion my friend. I also come from the owned both camp, and disagree with his opinion, but there are so many variables that could be different in our respective experiences that there's no point in arguing about it.

  • A blackface Deluxe Reverb was my favorite amp for a long time, but these days a lot of new amp builders with experience in the technology have come along with more features cheaper. I recently sold my reissue Deluxe Reverb for an Egnater Tweaker which does the same stuff and has more overdrive versatility. But Top Hat, Allessandro, Bad Cat, Matchless....

  • It's not $3000 worth of sound but worth it as a collectible.

Personally if I had that money I'd spend it on a lot of new equipment for different sounds

  • @guitarcapo Exactly, besides you can find bargains out there if you know where to look. I'm sure who ever bought it was some rich guy though!

  • I actually really like what youre playing

  • I've forwarded your comment to my friend with the fingers and long legs; and I agree, very enjoyable playing, he says he was improvising.

  • At 3:00 I thought, damn he's going to do it. Do no, you wimped out, didn't you. ;-)

  • That's one killer amp! Of course, you gotta love anything that Fender makes!

  • None of my other amps or VST's have a reverb that even comes close to this one. I love this amp.

  • you idiots realize turning the volume up from where the camera is would clip it up and sound like complete shit.

    get a grip.

  • You're right. This is the recorded sound, not the amp actual sound. I have two 66 DeLuxe (all original) and they are the best amps ever.

  • dude you gotta know at some point when you purchased a fender deluxe reverb that the sweetness doesn't show up until you crank it past 5. If it's too loud for you... buy a hotplate. Drive the tubes and your tone gets better.. you sound like it's not even on!

  • TURN IT UP !!!! thats no test. Sounds like my esquire NOT plugged in!

  • @colejoshrocks your esquire has tremolo and reverb?

  • There's no problem playing a Deluxe Reverb on 2.5 - I do it all the time. It's a different tone to the 6-7, edge of break-up zone but it has its own tone which is sweet enough, just a lot cleaner. This is a great amp which stays sweet right from 2-10.

  • Killer Reverb!!!

  • ...and then at 1:43 HE TURNS IT DOWN!

  • volume at 2.5=MASSIVE NO EXCUSES FAIL!

  • quote... that amp at 2.5 volume is a epic fail.

  • I can't believe how well you strum with your toes while tweaking them knobs. I Always tweak with my toes and strum with my fingers!

  • That's why I hate my Vox, I can't fiddle with the knobs using my feet

  • What a tease. I waited through this entire demo for a twist of the volume knob. I think we all want to hear the great tone this amp is capable of. The real tone of this amp doesnt even begin until about 6 or 7 on the dial. Your playing ability isnt lacking, so LETS HEAR IT.

  • Great tone but, in this very complex demo where is the high power that every vintage Deluxe can sing! Don't be afraid with this amp, the real 60"s Fender is like a strong Jeep...Open the volume!!!! Bye...

  • I want one!

  • it isnt no 3000$

  • As good as it may sound, $3000 is at least $2000 too much...

  • $3000! Really. I'll sell mine for that and just keep my Champ and Vox Ac30

  • Not $2,000... you will not find an original DR for $1,000. Hell, the NEW DRs sell for more than that... albeit, $3,000 is far too much; $1600-2000 is the norm.

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Sorry you are offended. We did not post this video for your enjoyment. It was to supplement an Ebay auction of this particular amp. And yes I sold it for over $3000.00, so it must have sounded OK to some folk.

Hope something else makes you happy.

  • i wish i had seen that thing. i would have bought it in a second.

  • i think it sounds sweet. congrats to whomever bought it.

  • hey binacajuan....

I loved the clip...I have a new fender deluxe reverb reissue and you helped me a lot.

    congrats on the sale

  • Good, maybe now you can afford some guitar lessons

  • @binacajuan 3000 at that price no one will buy that

  • @yodigi101

SURPRISE !!! They did buy it for $3000.00 and within 4 days of advertising it.
