o.o what's with people these days? you dont have to have a problem with something in order to mod it. maby it's just fun to do it, for some reason people luv complaining about modders, idk why but they do. i'm planning on doin case mod soon, idk what design i'm goin with, my friend has air brushes :D it's gonna be awesome, and i'm gonna try to do an internal liquid cooling system, with custom built reservoir, it gonna pwn >:3 Muahahaha!

i don't think you can overclock a games console and leaving it stock can be ok but there is the problem that your console may get the RROD, the xbox has some flaws that can have a simple yet very effective fix but people want to take it a step further and add their twist onto it wether its a off the shelf or homemade.

rrod is just the cpu or gpu getting hot (due to airflow on the heatsinks or thermal paste) and a sensor indicates this

i was thinking about this sort of setup and i heard that these black screws attached to those x's on the motherboad(when attached to 360 tin shell thing) when removed will result in you being banned from xbox live if ever signed in...Is this true?? plz help people

Adding a mod chip (team Xecuter) to bypass DRM on the dvd drive & HDD, to run cracked games from the HDD or cloning the access ques from the mobo to the HDD and adding a larger cappacity HDD such as 500gb, cracking/retro-engineering the on board software to run a side program which enables you to "cheat" on online games, or dual boot your xbox as a "PC" running a distro of LINUX, this is what gets you banned not missing screws. hope this helps.

@CameronWoodward107 Looking close to $400 mate, its not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, save your money and buy the next gen xbox360 on sale from 16th of july 2010, the only fault so far is that the benq drive still shreds your discs if you move it during use, ah well may in 5 years and a console upgrade they'll sort that issue LoOoL

For those saying that HD-DVD sucks, be careful, don't underestimate Hitachi. We know that Sony won the battle, but that doesn't mean they will cross their arms and do nothing. They are working with another laser more potent than the Blu-ray, that will store more than 100GB per disc, Sony is working with an Holographic disk, but that will take us 8 more years, remember, Japanese people accept failures, but thats the fuel to learn and make it better, peace.

HD-DVDV isn't the future, it's just and over sized DVD that can do HD. Blue-ray actually has something different.

The way i figured it, they could have engineered HD DVD to be read by normal DVD players with enough time. However Blu-ray will always remain a storage whore. Hence why it won. Packing a whole bunch of unnecessary shit into a disk. I dont need extra features, I just want High definition video. Nuff said.

True but now look how huge games are in detail. Blu-rays for movies might be a waste since the publisher just add a shit load of extras to fill the extra space. For games though your getting more better and detailed games like MGS4 and KZ2 but they take a shit load of time to make.

Overheat? The max PS3's can get is around at least 50C at room temperature. Getting warm is natural, just take care of it but the case for 360 is just bad engineering.

Both designs are engineered to fail, if you dont satisfy the air flow requirements, aka you put it in a Home theater stack, they both will eventually overheat. The XBOX moreso becuase of its shitty design overall, however the PS3 will overheat if put in a media cabinet.

Do some research before trying this. Water cooling Is NOT for a novice. No disrespect intended, but you ARE messing with water and electricity. Plus, there is no "catchall" kit for water cooling. And I dont know if they come out with a kit for this. I think he's using a KOOLANCE kit for a PC.
