  • I have ASD and i get tics in my thigh & thumb.

  • I see nothing even slightly abnormal about this child...

  • The reason for that was to let your right and left part of your brain cooperate better. And i remember i felled ten times better when i was training that. Beeing autistic is a living hell atleast in my case, but it's possible to control it. And when your child is growing up, he probally grow over it a bit. Same thing go's for most children with ADHD.

  • My son has Aspergers and a gifted IQ level, but spinning things is his down fall. He's in school now and can't manage to hold a pencil or ruler any amount of time without spinning it. But he's still perfect . It's just difficult to place him in a gifted class or a main stream class without being able to see his written work

  • @lisacmeier I had the same thing when i was a kid. They found out that i had autism when i was 19 years old. They knew something was wrong with me. ADD etc. Then my mother took me to a therapist. Can't remember what the name was but i had to sit on a chair with a blackboard infront of me in the length and draw circles and spirals etc on both sides without beeing able to see them. First it was really hard to do so but evatually it went better.

  • I have a son, he's 7, who we believe has Autism spectrum disorder. Your son is beautiful! You're doing great, and he's wonderful :)

  • Thank you for sharing this video of your son. I work with children with additional needs and these vids give me a true insight to family life. I find it very helpful to do my job to the best of my ability. Your son is beautiful lil chap x

  • dont really see where a problem lies , he looks like any other young child to me ?cute yes,

  • he is such a freak

  • @multisnootylives1 fuck off, fugly dick.

  • aww he's so cute, brought a tear to my eye xx

  • he is so cute!

  • i have also been diagnosed with ASD and tics. Many people just dont seem to understand that about me and i try to control it but it comes out randomly and i feel embarrassed about it when around others. i just hope that charlie, the boy in the video, gets on better than me. autism and tics are the reasons why people dont like me.......i also hope that this problem i have doesnt take effect on him

  • Seems strange so many case of Autism in the past 10 years. Does no one else find this strange? Enviromental? something in the air, water, baby formula, plastics, should def be more research-good video, cute kid hope you all find a care plan that helps him become a productive, happy adult. I had a son on the spectum when he was younger he grew out of it but it was mild, i know alot of kids dont get any better~it was borderline aspergers, he is now social, brillant and full functioning-good luck

  • @mom22many09 I totally agree with you, 10 years ago a diagnosis was made 1 in 1,000 now it is 1 in 100... What will it be in another 10 years, 1 in 10? Great video though, #FTW

  • I just wanted to thank you so much for putting together this video and for allowing people to observe the signs. My 6 yr old nephew and now possibly my 2 yr old son are on the spectrum as well.. You are a fabulous woman, very strong and loving! Your son is adorable and I wish nothing but happiness for you both!

  • stop adding advertising in videos, it drives me insane!

  • (This is the stuff that they have taken from me in school and have warned my mom if i don't stop my grades will drop because its distracting to my peers) I've also gotten in trouble for playing with money mostly toonies and loonies, tape, round erasers...etc the way he was the tape, and i am often told to stop talking with my hands because its annoying.

I have not been diagnosed with autism or anything else.

  • i don't know how accurate i'd consider this because i've been known to do stuff like this and according to my school its because of my small attention span, I spin Pens, screw drivers, candles, carrot sticks...etc

  • Some people cant see the wood for the trees.

My lad can communicate well with adults and they think he is great

but in a social setting with other peers he stands out like a sore thumb. he is Alone in his Autism with few friends

  • @synthjohn100 My daughter has that same problem shes 9 and has been diognosed wid autism but acts quite normal( if u ignore her lil quirks like her two fingers waving around and her high pitched squeals when excited) around us and adults yet when it comes to other children its like she doesnt know how to socialise or what to do around them....It tears the heart out watching them like that doesnt it?

  • This video was really touching. I cried :'(

  • @52olly I can speak. I use my hands to communicate as well. I actually have an above average variety of vocabulary. Yet I am still autistic.

  • He is beautiful hun.... xx

  • Yes he is spinning, but he's waiting for you to open it. When did a toddler talking to himself become a symptom of autism?

Autism is a social communication disorder. Your son communicates beautifully and using his hands to communicate is called gesturing. Not only is it normal but it shows hm clearly interacting with you.

Rolling the tape in this instance is no different to us doodling. I suggest he is clealy processing thoughts. He also plays pretend.

    So where's the autism?

  • @52olly you cant really comment like that as you don't know what he is like all the time. As she says he has a diagnosis so the professionals obviously think he is on the spectrum.

  • Handsome little guy!!! :)

  • very touching!!!!!!
