  • when he said "no more" i heard "you're a whore" :D:D

  • is he actually spilling the water out and making a voice as if he is drinkin water?

  • Can they learn that any object had a name? Like does he associate words with meaning or does he associate reaction to reaction?

  • @Lizardwoman311 They most definitely associate items with words. I have video of her drinking from a faucet and saying water. It isn't posted yet... on my to do list! :) Another African Grey named Alex was known to do the word association very well, watch this: youtube.com/watch?v=R6KvPN_Wt8I

  • She enunciates her words so clearly...!

    Beautiful, happy bird!

  • How old is she?

  • wait so the woman on pet star with a parrot named enstein wasn't you

  • @pink4life334 That's right! Different parrot, different girl. Einstein is our parrot companion and lives in our home in Texas. The other one lives at the Knoxville, TN Zoo and performs daily bird shows.

  • @4zebird i live near knoxville!

  • Parrot's only ever truly communicate with women.

  • Wouldnt it be funny if she just said Oh shut the fuck up

  • What a goof ball! :)

  • ITS SO PRETTY

  • THATS ONE CRAZY BIRD :D !!!

  • he: einstein, whats de dog say?

    einstein: hiiiiuuuuu

    he: noo.. whats the dog----

    einstein gobblegobble gobble

    he: what ?!?!

    einstein: miouuuuuw

    :DDD

  • she wants to take a shower :)

  • Have you ever gone on Pet Star with her? Because I think she would win :)

  • @PinkZazki No, never been on Pet Star and no plans to do so. Einstein is shy in front of a live audience. She loves to perform for her family and the camera! So happy you enjoy Einstein!

  • you need to teach her to go "Im old gregg"

  • heehee Einstein's such a cutie pie X3

  • do you give a shower every day

  • @shishisawboy She gets misted about every other day and a full drenching about once a week.

  • This bird is SO adorable!! I totally LOVE it!!!

I have a question tho..... Can they actually communicate with you? Meaning, do they understand what you're saying to them and do they understand you? Or do they just repeat the words they've heard you say?

  • @gzus4eva Well, you'll never be able to have a conversation about world economics, but they do understand and associate actions with words. For example: "Wanna go computer" She knows she will be spending time on the perch in the office. She also uses the words, "Break" (Breakfast), "Lunch", and "Dinner" appropriately. She also will just talk randomly, (word practice), but when I hear my name being called, or "Wanna Eat", I know that she wants something.

  • @4zebird LOL Ur funny!!! Ya I would just baby him or her if I had one. I'm really falling in love with this kind of bird specifically and I'm doing my research and I'd like to hear some personal experience that's why I asked u. I figured they can't 'that' elaborate of a conversation. lolol Thanks for ur reply! Love ur little one! :)

  • Oh no kingdiamondara. Many Greys have an intelligence level of a 4 or 5-year-old. I know that from living with my Grey for nearly 20 years. It's true they are children emotionally. BUT, their intelligence level is far beyond what is thought and what we know. Given time and attention, we shall learn more. These birds are also strangely psychic. Think what you wish. I experienced a miracle just by commiting to living with a Grey for yrs. I respect peoples' opinions - I simply have my own.

  • Lets go eat some corn.

  • thydth

  • 2:10 he sounds like the doll in saw :S haha

  • lol my african grey parrot acts like that! how old is he? my parrot is 7 years old! i love her soo much!xxx

  • @tiger315415 Einstein is 14 years old. Hatchdate 06/15/97.

  • "your making a mess" bird looks at him like... nigga u think i care??

  • how old is your bird? i have a 13 year old military macaw and he says half that stuff because of this video now xD

  • @dragonslayer21000 well at least hes trying XD

  • @dragonslayer21000 hey bro remember me? :)

  • @crazycjh1 yep lol :)

  • @dragonslayer21000 Einstein is 14 years old. Hatchdate 06/15/97. So glad you enjoy Einstein!

  • @4zebird Thank you can i ask how old he was when he was premeired on animal stars tv?

  • @dragonslayer21000 This is not the same parrot. The Animal Stars Parrot lives at the Knoxville TN Zoo. Einstein is our pet and lives in Texas. Read the "More Info" tab on the video. Search "Einsteinparrot Name Game" for further explaination.

  • @4zebird oh ok im sorry.

  • it's siri..

  • WOO! its good...

  • Thumbs up if you have a parrot

  • I just love Einstein!

  • Haha! My friend's parrot says 'Bombs away' when she has to go potty too. :D

  • i want!

  • Give the bird some corn XD

  • I love this video, I watch her when I need a pick me up :)

  • That was so entertaining for me! I wish I could afford a grey but it would likely outlive me as I'm 62. I know they are the smartest. There is something about a parrot that is so sociable. In the wilds they cram together and gab. I would love to have one from a baby. I often imagine the fun things I could train him to say. You could have him/her as a little ambassador of peace....or joy.

  • he said "get down", then started dancing. LMAO

  • he's bipolar

  • Heh, thought about a thing called "fear". I do not wish any harmful things in my mind to you're loving beautiful creature, but man, could you imagine, if your bird would be so loyal that she may even be around as a ghost?

Kind of creepy - yet that would show her tremendous affection towards you! :)

  • parrots are great and yes tey are messy and also can be very annoying!! I have a double yellow headed amazon very funny and sometimes I just want to choke him!!LOL

  • Want some corn

  • How do we know its a parrot and not you fooling around ?

  • @K1rkHammet Because, when you own a parrot... you don't have time to fool around! :)

  • @4zebird Sorry, it was a greenscreen-error hence I thought it was fake XP But the greenscreenproblem is fixed now. I could only see a green screen and not the video itself. cheers from norway !

  • @K1rkHammet you obviously never saw a african grey in person, lol they do talk very well.

  • LMFAO towards the end from 603 to end, LOVE how he actually interacts with you and not just saying random things lol

  • i want a parrot!

  • that bird is a genius

  • very brainy parrot

  • Why do African Greys make such a mess with their food?

  • Holy crap that bird was singing the Andy Griffith theme song!

  • Comment removed

  • Einstein has seen some strange dogs!! Awesome parrot :-)

  • I had a gray but she didn't talk this much. Very sweet creature, they easily love as much as a dog or cat can. Unfortunately, the wife took her when she left.

Also, just for the record, I too would like some corn.

  • omg i want her! im teaching my budgie to talk she makes sounds from around the house and i think i heard her say pretty budg yesterday :)

  • Lets go eat some corn.

Wow, she must really love corn.. xD

  • look at you!! your all wet!!! no your all wet!

  • REALY FUNNY

  • " Bombs away"

    "Right now?"

    " Why?"

    "cuz im takin your picture"

  • "You're a good bird"

    "Thank you, so are you"

    LOL

  • does she know what she is saying?

  • @kingdiamondara Generally speaking, larger parrots are thought to have an intelligence that rivals a 2-3 year old child. While most of their "speech" is just repeating the sounds they hear, if someone spends time with their bird, they can understand that certain items are identified by specific words.

  • @4zebird actually, the 2-3 thing was an under estimation, it's more like 5-10 or higher depending on the grey, and they have all the same emotions of humans. i've met one that could speak nearly perfect english and told me, "i tired o' people treating me like i dumb animal, i think, i feel!" lol, cracked me up, i told him i respect him as an equal, he paused and said, "you alllllright!", then kissed my nose.

  • ass )le

  • Love this bird XD she's so cute!

  • I am truly amazed by this bird. I had an African Grey years ago and whoever had him before us must have really had a foul mouth. It became an embarrassment to us whenever we had friends from church come over. We had to sell him.

  • I have an African gray too, called Chili :3 I love birds<3

  • What a fantastic creaturel! *_*

  • does he say he really wants to take a shower or does einsten just say he does for the sake of it

  • @JesseJAMES682 A little of both.

  • Einstein likes horses <3

  • How long did it take you to turn her into an "Einstein"? :p

  • @TheRAWRingDuck We didn't turn her into anything. We just got lucky and did a lot of ready and study on parrot intelligence and behavior. Positive Reinforcement training played a very large part too. For more info go to the FAQ page of her website, einsteinparrot. com

  • the closest we'll get to actually talking to animals... that's awesome

  • OMG, is so cute...

  • "Let's go take a shower!"

She's trying to seduce you ;)

  • Well thats good! even Einstein agrees you are a good parent =)

  • Einstein has a wonderful sense of humor!

  • Omg!

  • wow, what an awesome bird i cant imagine the amount of time involved in teaching all of those words

  • What a beautiful, amazing bird !

  • I'm baby sitting an African Grey on this dank cold Christmas eve, her name is Ruby and she loves this post she's talking back to it at the moment. Greetings from the UK

  • How long did it take to actually teach Einstein her first words??

  • @xxdarkwerewolfxx Go here to read the full story: w w w (dot)einsteinparrot(dot)com/q_&_a(dot)htm

  • @4zebird i subscribed you just becouse your parrot is the best i have ever seen! :D

  • this is funny, but im sure ide get annoyed with this bird doing this all day long

  • Aw, this is just adorable c:

  • She really wants to have a shower, doesn't she?

  • Oh my gosh.. She's so cute! :DDDDD

Can you lend me her for a day? x]

  • THE BIRD CLEARLY NEEDS MORE WATER !!!!

  • I notice how she said "want some more" just before she started to drink some more!

  • oh einstein how I adore thee <3

  • You have a great singing voice! :)

  • "you're a good parrot."

    "thank you, so are you."

  • can the bird actually tell you if she wants something? like, can she associate certain words with things she wants?

  • @HiroMori94 Yes, it is not uncommon for her to do that. She will often start reciting food words when it is close to a time to eat. She will also let us know when it is time to go to sleep. However, you really have to incorporate them into your life and your routine.

  • @4zebird wow it sounds like she is super smart, does she also like...how do I put it..does she know how to describe emotions?

  • @HiroMori94 Good Question! She knows when we are upset with her. She will say "Bad Bird", and she often says, "Happy Birdie", but this could just be mimicry. However, I do believe they have feeling and emotions.

  • WOW, how cute

    Watta amazing bird

  • LOL this is the funnyest video on einstein i've ever seen so far XD

  • ahahaha nice One

  • What does a dog say?NEEHEHHHHEHEHHEHEHHHH

  • you call a girl Einstein?????

  • dat bird is drunk as fuck!

  • I love you, Einstein! My baby, Eleanor Rigby is just 7 months and I hope she grows up to have such a wonderful vocabulary as you! <3

  • does she have a birth braclete.

  • @MrYoyo666 She did, but we had it removed for safety reasons.

  • what an amazing bird! so entertaining :) sometimes she seems to be saying things at random, but most of the time what she's talking about relates to what she's actually doing which is so clever! love watching her videos. my FAVE thing she says is the "gobble gobble gobble" :D

  • She is amazing! You have trained Einstein really well! It's always wonderful to see when a parrot owner is dedicated! It comes out in the bird and Einstein is a very good example, it takes a whole lot of persistence and dedication (ooh and treats). Just wow great job!

  • aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww, she sooooooooooo cute!!! I'm desprate to get a parrot

  • I love that these videos show the bird is so loved & well cared for, it reflects in the bird that he has amazing owners!

  • i hae a african grey.he is crazy

  • Vies

  • U bids are very great and I have always wanted one but we can't find them here and i hope u get great reviews subs :)

  • Is it just me, or does Einstein sound like Dustin Hoffman playing Ray, in Rainman? :D Especially with the "take a shower" parts :)

  • Just to add to this thread, i have 2 DYH amazon parrots that are very well cared for. I have a huge hanging playpen that they get to spend hours on everyday. I feed them several different dried foods plus treats when they are in "school". I give them a lot of attention. They are So funny. They are naughty on occasion and laugh at me when i call them "naughty" They are incredably intellegent and LOVE to go for rides in a Car.. For those that know them, they are the greatest company

  • she is beautiful i really want an african grey , i love how happy she is god she is a beauty great vid by the way

  • This parrot is awesome!! If you like, search in Youtube on "Suah", then you will find my parrot, but he needs a little more practice i think! :-)

  • This parrot is awesome!! If you like, search in Youtube on "Suah", then you will find my parrot, but me needs a little more practice i think! :-)

  • aww omg "you're a good parent" Sweetest thing I've ever heard

  • So this is how they made Rio...

  • Can she fly or not

  • @shishisawboy Yes, she can fly, but we keep her wings clipped to keep her safe. She is still a good flyer and can “fly-hop” for example, from her perch to the kitchen counter.

  • cute..."let's go take a shower!" "It's too late" "lets go eat some corn." "no you already had dinner."

  • So love this bird !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Educate yourself before you buy one of these beings! They are messy , can and will bite you and are not domesticated animals like dogs. Consider them wild animals that will tolerate human attention on THEIR terms, not yours. THis Bird is extraordinary and i know you might be thinking that "yours: will turn out like her... CHANCES are very great it wont. They need your time, tons of toys and activities and most of all LOVE and attention. READ UP on them before you BUY!! READ and read MORE!!!

  • @Dioneisis Thanks for your comment! VERY WELL SAID!!!!

  • @Dioneisis As an extension, it's important to know that African greys need TONS of time and attention. You absolutely CANNOT leave them alone at a whim and go do your own thing. They naturally flock, so they need social interaction. If you can spend time around one (or more) before taking the plunge, please do so. So many birds end up ignored, neglected and/or abused because of ill-prepared owners.

Einstein is exceptional. So many are not. Please make sure you won't add to the problem.

  • @Dioneisis 100% correct and excellent advice.

  • @Dioneisis Its always recommended to start with small parrots like Budgies. their behaviors are almost identical to big parrots! except that they're much smaller, but they'll shock you with their extraordinary intelligence, and a male budgie holds the record of the highest amount of vocabulary between all parrots.

But still unless you could spend several hours daily with them, don't get a parrot, I take my budgie wherever I go, even to work without clipping, caging, or training she just knows!

  • @Dioneisis Best advice in the world. Only a VERY VERY small percentage of parrots will be like this one. It'll take many hours of interaction to get results like this. No, make that days. No, sorry, weeks and months.

And yes, they are way more intelligent than us humans think they are.

Can't put enough emphasis on this: EDUCATE YOURSELF, THINK BEFORE YOU BUY A PARROT. They'll die of loneliness way more often than you think. That's a cruel life.

  • @Dioneisis This person is 100% correct. Birds are highly intelligent, fragile and complex beings. KNOW what you need to before getting ANY bird.

  • @Dioneisis Are u talking about African grey souly or other birds too?

  • Einstein is a she? She is cute.

  • I looove Einstein, thanks for sharing! My conure Buddy loves her too. (I assume she is a girl since she says good girl and sweetie?) He especially likes the kissy noises and singing, since that is what he mainly does. Great job interacting with her you can tell how loved she is.

  • Man i love your videos and i love your bird . keep up the good work man.

  • that would be soo creepy if you where in the house by yourselth just hear a voice saying good girl warter am singing in the rain lol :)

  • I think that Einstein likes to play the clown and to act silly...Am I right ??

  • Comment removed
