@lgfreire1 yes...after hearing the rest of the piece before it....and then Vouchsafe is absolutely spellbinding and makes you well up with tears...I have sang in choirs performing this piece and it's an awesome experience!
Wow, there must be something in that Rocky Mountain air...I'd love to stand up in front of an orchestra and chorus like that a conduct a Rutter piece! No wonder his hair is big!
For those of you who are interested, the Bow Valley is in the Canadian Rockies and includes the towns of Banff and Canmore, where our choir members are from.
I am so glad that you are enjoying our performance. As you know, there is a lot going on in Banff on the music scene and it''s easy for our concerts to get lost. We perform twice a year, in the spring and at Christmas time. If you're back in Banff, look us up. cheers....
Rutter's larger works are difficult to get in one's crawl. Exactly my experience with the Requiem and Magnificat. His miniatures are more accessible and so beautiful.
Thanks for posting this, and, yes, I also would like to know where Bow Valley is.
I did this song in high school about 11 years ago. I learned the piano/organ to this-incredibly powerful and spriritual! this is one of my favorite songs of time-Thanx for posting
As usual Mr Rutter excels.

Wow. I remember singing this in Disney when I was in high school. Crazy how fast you forget about what choir songs you've sang.

I really don't much care for Rutter's music but I must say that this is exceptionally well performed. Good job!

Me gusta más la grandiosidad del Te Deum de Berlioz, mucho más magestuoso.

Quanto è bello questo Te Deum, veramente fantastico, seppur melodico ed alcune volte ritmicamente scontato. Marzio
