  • Obama's pole puffing pastor. LOL

  • @TheMethadoneParty There is no god anyway so why argue about whether he represent a mythical diety such as Yahweh. This man is a piece of shit regardless of whether he's in a pulpit or not.

  • @muitobonito113 - same response as to TheMethadoneParty.

  • This guy is a lying piece of shit. There is no God in this man. I DESPISE preachers who use the pulpit for their own usually wrong opinions and words instead of Gods Word! The truth shall make you free!

  • @TheMethadoneParty - It's requires no effort to take the cope out position and hurl meaningless and unsupported labels hoping if repeated enough they will stick. Intelligent conversation requires evidence to back up assertion and opinion, though you are always entitled to your opinion; even if it's no more than that; your opinion. Fact and truth on the other hand require much more effort to rise above the credibility threshold.

  • You have plenty of prisoners to write im sure. They are killing each other in the street.

Preach on this revrend.Black people dont like white people or any 1 out side of their race calling them the "N" word and I think it is an appaulling word as well. However they call each other the N word , they are the ones promoting it! It is that disrespect for themselves and the women they mistreat by calling them bithches, that ends them up in prison.I see it eher I live and I visit them in prison too.

  • @latabanza. You've never met blacks and I doubt you'd live with Blacks. The United States is more racially segregated than Sweden. Shit, I'd argue that, hell, the census states it, the most integrated parts of the United States is the South. That includes the Alabama and Mississippi, which perform far better than the fake-ass liberal North.

  • @latabanza Look at the demographics of senates. Now I ask, what does this tell us? It tells us that racism is a lot more persuasive in liberal quarters than the generally-agreed-upon-racist-corridors.

This is important to note, because I've met more openly racist whites than the liberal types. Just see the white remnants in post-white flight North or the good old South. One thing most of these racists would agree is that most blacks do not use the term nigger .

    Stop exaggerating fool!

  • WHEN THEIR TALKING ABOUT pAGAN THEY ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT AFRICAN YOU INSULT US BY SAYING THAT, DO YOUR RESEARCH...EVEN THE WAY IRISH cELEBRATION OF eASTER IS CONSIDERED pAGAN CHECK OUt INFO ABOUT WICKA .. RIGHT IS RACSIT AND HE IS IN A pRISON OF HIS OWN MIND. hATE TOWARDS YOU Should not effect what God REALLY say about the situation.right seems to be a REACTIVE Preacher. What the does the bible say about a man that stirs up contention and discord.

  • P2 of 4

    3. You claim "Right" (I assume you meant Rev. Wright) is racist. Once again what evidence with logical inferences and deductions do you offer to substantiate your claim?

    4. His sermons (you can find a number of unedited ones on youtube) do indicate that he can be reactive at times. How many have you looked at completely to justify such a sweeping generalization?

  • his own words... to say that about your own race is still racist. P.S. I don't like playing some body's victim a feww even before the Obama contriversy he used to be on television i do recall broadcasted also in New York.

  • What did he say that you believe was racist and again how did it meet the benchmark of the definition of racism?

  • I was insulted by the pagan comment among other things..."they are talking about African traditiions"...who areTHEY and do we always have to be victims? The bibles says i am more than a conquerer the bible says pray for those who dispitefully use... pray for your {so called} enemies. 2b on a constent defense about something means u r not really in control of your emotions. the person on the offense has you really playing there game.

  • What are you talking about? How are/were African traditions victimized by this sermon? "...person on the offense depends on your frame of reference." What is the context of your biblical quotes? I don't interpret verses plucked out of thin air.

  • @ronptech. More than conquerors (Romans 8; 36-38)pray for those who spitefully...and pray for your {so called -bc white men are not my enemy} enemies Mat 5:43-45 that being said it does not mean that racism doesn't exist. BC ALL races do it. and it is not for you to interpret the verses it is for God to give you understanding on the verses.

  • @Darterri Sorry, good try but picking verses without their context doesn't give you scholarship credit nor validates whatever point you're attempting to make. Whatever point you're trying to make would be clearer if your foundation began with the definitions of "racism" and "pagan." Sounds like your pain results more from a misinterpretation of those two words rather than what Rev. Wright had to say.

  • @ronptech I gave you context you ignored them it's called selective rading I bet everyone else who read ALL of our writings can read them too you maybe ignoring them but they exist.

  • @Darterri Ok... I'll give this one more try, after which I'll chalk this conversation up to a "failure to communicate." I don't understand what you're talking about. Please explain what your point(s) is/are to me like I'm a sixth grade student. Walk me through in simple steps how and why you arrived at your conclusions. Thank-you

  • @ronptech chalk it up to miscomunication bc I said it all and than some. I don't think six grade would do it.

  • **I saw it before Obama contraversy and i heard when he made the comment about not saying (racist) remark bc Senator Obama doesn't like when he talks like that. --I say: How about does God like it. Now you look in the archives of videos and tell me that he didn't make that comment I 'll call you a lier to your face.

  • Again, what remark are you claiming he made as racist and what makes it racist. Didn't they teach you how to research and certify your claims back in middle and high school or somehow did you miss all of that?

  • @ronptech Playing Coy? I made it plain... throwing insults is middle school and high school. I repeatedly answered your question, perhaps you think the only racism there is: white against black .but like I said B4 if you making comments that THEY (generalizing) are talking about Africa (generalizing) when referring to paganistic rituals, where American holidays are plagued with paganistic rituals brought in by all types of even non black cultures, YOU ARE PART OF THE RACISM PROBLEM.

  • @Darterri Again look up the definition of pagan. Appears more like you're suffering from an interpretation issue.

  • @ronptech No I think it is that you have an understanding issue the bible says to ask for {HIM NOT YOUR OWN, TO SUPPORT YOUR OWN BELIEFS}understanding. I know you don't like what I'm saying bc I am not saying what you want to hear but too bad I don't do that so you can play coy day and night it just speaks volumes about yourself.

  • @Darterri Liking or disliking whatever it is that you're saying is irrelevant in this conversation since I don't understand what your points are.

  • @ronptech playing coy? Ask God for understanding when you don't understand. I do not interpret the Bible I say what it says if i do not understand what it means i pray for understanding like the Bible tells me to you should do the same. I don't listen to a preacher's interpretation bc I like what he is saying or matches MY beliefs it MUST match th WORD ( Biblical word).

  • @ronptech ive been trying to figure that out myself lol gotta love You tube retards who think their opinions matter to anyone else but them ha ha Fighting on the internet is soooo gay, even if you win you are still a PUSSY!

  • @TheMethadoneParty womp, womp, that arguement is sooooooooo old you are sooooooo late duhhhhhhhhh.Which means this was only important to you, Sounds like you're looking for an arguement so that you can join the gay internet retards.

  • @TheMethadoneParty Your comment/opinion is duly noted, although not intellectually worthy of serious consideration or response.

  • P3 of 4

    5. What principles do you base your leap to claim Rev. Wright stirred up the contention and discord when he has been preaching and teaching at Trinity for over 30 years and his work is available for anyone curious enough to examine it? Have you ever bothered to visit and talk with the folks in South Chicago? Maybe you should begin by re-examining those folks over at Fox and comparing what emanates from there against the definition of "news."

  • you are obviously assumeing...I heard what he said with my own ears before fox are whatever P.s I heard with my own ears b4 fox

  • No if you read what I wrote, it assumed nothing. It asked what you based your opinion on. The FOX reference was a suggestion to perform contrast and comparison analysis.

What did you hear and how did whatever you heard fit within the definition of racism?

  • you assume I cared what FOX was saying.

  • No, I questioned the unsubstantiated contention and discord assertion you made of Rev. Wright, which appears to only be held outside the Trinity community where the media stimulated by FOX's artificial portrayal of Rev. Wright occurred. My suggestion was thus, designed to question the credibility of Fox.

  • it was obvious and stantiated. you made a comment brought up fox and media as a comparison to my comment as if it would solidify your opinion of my comment. I gave you enough evidence HIS OWN WORDS you could be in denile if you want. Some will say I am the Christ....many will be fooled even the elect...Gal 1:7-8 If any one preaches any Gospel other than this...P.S LIKE I SAID B4 I HEARD OF WRIGHT AND HIS PREACHING B4 FOX and did not agree with it bc it is vexing to the soul paervert the Gospel.

  • It appears you don't understand the difference between opinion and fact; I can't help you with that. Sounds like an education problem. You infer Rev. Wright "stirs up contention and discord" and attempt to support it with anecdote and opinion. Nope, proof and evidence of fact doesn't work that way. You hearing those words before or after Fox created the controversy is irrelevant to your failure to prove your claim.

  • @ronptech coy again?...I don't pretend I don't understand what he is says Wright makes no bones about it. It is what is. CONTENTION-The act or an instance of striving in controversy or debate, rivalry. DISCORD-Lack of agreement among PERSONS, GROUPS- strife. STRIFE-bitter conflict. CONFLICT - an open clash between two opposing groups. Is that plain enough?

  • @Darterri So you're defining contention and discord as the emotional conflicts experienced in your mind when listening to Rev. Wright. There didn't seem to be significant discord nor contention regarding his teachings within the Trinity family for the 30+ years he was there. BTW - I see you do have the ability to use dictionary definitions. Now you just need to show how they relate to the thesis or point you're attempting to make. In other words, no your argument is not plain enough.

  • @ronptech i defined those words from the dictionary unedited. And like i said before his own words are proof; there's too many. I gave you one from your own video and you played deaf or blind. And if I bring up the nationally televised FOX (most obvious video) you blame "media". Never calling it what it is. Yet the author of his own words plainly says what he is about, sound like somebody that would fit perfectly into an occult.

  • those who study the word rather than following man bc of there own agendas and bias will seek God's truth and not words they agree with. . My first evidence is the comparison of the real Word and those of Wright peppered into the truth. And this very own video that you posted is evidence of a problem that FOX did not post.

  • yada...yada...yada... Let's get past all the B.S. Evidence of what problem, why/how is it a problem? You continue to throw out subjective, suggestive and opinionated claims. You're always entitled to your opinion, though you must support fact and do more than claim it's evidence. Your continued misunderstanding how to justify claims of fact IMHO, infer that you're either just trolling to waste folks time and add to the noise, you're a child who doesn't know better or extremely mis-educated.

  • @ronptech more insults? I'm not weak insults doesn't effect me. It's call psychology and socialogy it is relevant bc this is a social and psychological subject. Evaluating ones social statements regarding race and said person(Wright's) statements to others affecting there thinkings and emotions while using a Church platforms fro his own agenda. And just bc you don't agree with it doesn't mean its bull. The problem is stated above being you want to play coy. lol at "misunderstanding"

  • @Darterri What grade are you in?

  • @ronptech Wouldn't you like to know. Last time I checked you were trying to insult me with your "elementary and high school" comment are you looking for immunition to insult me some more. lol What difference does it make?

  • @Darterri No not an insult, just curiosity.

  • @ronptech WOW (draw dropped)...curiosity, I'm sorry but God is too important to me than for me to be chasing my curiosity expecially of those that is so dangerous. I can't even go into why it's so dangerous bc it's JUST a curiosity to you.

  • @ronptech lol last comment was a joke. I do have a since of humor.

  • @Darterri You youtube retards who think their opinions matter to anyone else but you! ha ha Fighting on the internet is soooo gay, even if you win you are still a PUSSY! ha ha ha enjoy being queer lol

  • P4 of 4

    6. For someone appearing to quote from Proverbs, don't you find it contradictory that you haven't bothered to (at least in your comment) contemplate or ponder a different and possibly positive perspective regarding Rev. Wright?

  • Do you mean play devil's advocate? no. For a man of position it is dangerous to add are subtract to the Word of God. I was in a church that preached like this it was very toxic had me leaving either angry, defeated, hateful, hurt , broken and discusted all of which I know was not Jesus' purpoise in Salvation & n regarding talking to the ppl about good that wright has done the Bible says there r some who will say did I not preach ...pray...cast out demons, God said I do not know you.

  • Those are your personal opinions limited by your experiences and education. I am not playing devils advocate. You made certain claims and generalizations as if they were fact as I numerically outlined. Whenever one asserts fact, it must be supported by substantive evidence. Just because you said it, doesn't make it so.

  • Sounds more like your talking about wright's comment to me.

  • No sticking to the point, I am only questioning your still unsubstantiated claims of fact and generalization.

I'll give in to your assertion about pagan roots of Easter, although it has nothing to do with what the sermon was about. Your racism and discord assertions are still outstanding.

  • It is discord and contention...if my child (innocent) have never felt these feeling about other races and wright made the compelling remarks about some true events that may have happened my child would start to look at other races in that light and may cause them to HATE. I am teaching my child to fear no man and look ate character and integrity to measure a man...men w/out character and integrity comes in ALL races and she will definitly not be anyones victim.

  • It's still your personal opinion and an anecdotal story, not an accepted claim/assertion based on fact.

  • @ronptech u ask a question u than label...it perturbs me on how u disect & evaluate my words but when it came 2 the preaching of God's word & the appropriateness of using that platform (the church)."even as there shall be false teachers among u, who privily shall bring n damnable heresies..." (I Pet. 2: 1). We must "try the spirits(I Jn. 4: 1). False teachers teach what people want 2 hear (2 Tim. 4: 3, 4). They often appear righteous but their TEACHING & life identify them as false (Matt. 7: 15)

  • @Darterri Recommendation: "Writing Argumentative Essays" by Nancy Wood.

  • @ronptech Recommendation to you: The Bible, regarding the purpose for the Church. Second Recommendatiion: Put God first above yourself and your own personal Agendas. Third: Learn that there are no one way to make an argument. also, college essay writings vary only those who master the art can turn it into an art form just as long as they have the major parts;ie., thesis, conclusion, body paragraph etc., p.s. the format is still being revise til this day.

  • @ronptech ...yes, I am sticking to the piont all the comments you made, you probably should've asks those same question while listening to Wright.

  • @Darterri Rev. Wright's Christmas sermon didn't upset me. I'm pretty confident he can back up his rethoric. Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. enjoys being highly regarded as a theological scholar by his peers in the field; something you and I can only aspire to

  • @Darterri Another distraction... oh well, I'm not biting and since this is leading to nothing productive and I've exhausted all the time that I'm willing to spend on this conversation, may you have a nice life! Good-bye

  • @ronptech ditto

  • Those words are toxic point blank period... Preaching the Gospel is a responsibility and those are Gods sheeps that are hearing it, it's like i gave my children to the baby sitter for the day while i went to work and because the babysitter told scary stories about door knobs my children came home afraid of door knobs but I did not teach my children to fear doorknobs but to have power love and a sound mind. I would be angry at the babysitter for teaching my children to be afraid of door knobs.

  • Toxic and racist have very different definitions.

  • @ronptech Toxic and Racist it is, whether or not it has different defintions. (let me break it down for u) Ultra violet Radiation has a different definition from toxic, yet ultra violet radiation is toxic. (cause and effect principles, practiced in other disciplines not just in math).

  • P1 of 4

That's quite a few unsubstantiated assertions. Care to provide evidence of your claims?

    1. Paganism is generally accepted to be defined as various polytheistic, non Abrahamic religious traditions (ref: wikipedia or the dictionary). One can argue over context of the folks who defined the latin term, but it is what it is.

    2. Where's your evidence that the Irish celebration of Easter is a pagan ritual (ie Wicca) when most Irish are Catholic or Protestant?

  • 1.Wright says they are talking about African traditions. Where in that definition it say they r talking about ONLY african traditions?

    2. 1st let me repeat what I said clearly "EVEN THE {WAY} IRISH cELEBRATION OF eASTER (the eggs) u study yourself approve what is the eggs about some wicca, psychics and new world order website admite there paganistic origin...what does most Irish being Catholic & Protestant have to do with that? It's like saying most chinese r Buddhist they can't be Christian.

  • somehow my original comment didn't make it due to a URL reference.

According to yourirish (dot) (com) and a few wiki sites it appears the Irish tradition of giving easter eggs to children is a reward for the successful completion of their commitment to Lent. Christians today tie Lent to Christian principles found in Matthew and other places about fasting and sacrifice. The definition of "pagan" invalidates your Chinese and Buddhist analogy.

  • "Ishtar", which is pronounced "Easter" was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called "Tammuz", who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god. like christmas many pagan rituals blended into each other bc of the close timing of passover and there religious holiday.Easter has nothing to do with the resurrection Jesus Christ. Acts12 tells us that King Herod, was planning to celebrate Easter, and not the Christians.

  • Yeah and so what does any of that have to do with your rant about "AFRICAN " and " INSULT US BY SAYING THAT?" It illustrates your misunderstanding of as I understand his point that emphasized "pagan" as a pejorative term used in early Christian times to denote the non-Christian country folk who when you take a look at any map were Africans; since they resided on the continent of Africa.

  • @ronptech wow, if a white man said "when ppl talk about Pagan ritual there talking about Africa" it would be offensive... but when a black man says an INSULTING, PUTTING DOWN THIER OWN RACE ASSOCIATING EVERYTHING THAT IS NEGATIVE WITH BLACKNESS, ALWAYS TELLING US WE ARE VICTIMS it is ok. I understand standing up when neccessary but when when it is use as a weapon to put down another race (at the same time putting us down indirectly) it is NOT ok no matter what race you are.

  • its the truth what yall getting mad for let the man speak i dont see him doin hate crimes he just giving his views besides there are white people who go to that church so how could he hate white people he hates the government and what its done the natives black people white people Asians latinos and other races yall people should go to church pastors talk about this stuff because it happens hes tryna lift your spirtis and educate you

  • Did Obama really go to this church? Obama doesn't celebrate XMas, but this church does.

  • Yes he did go to this church. Please provide evidence to back up your assertion that "Obama doesn't celebrate XMas."

  • @ronptech

nytimes com/2009/12/06/fashion/06desiree html dot for spaces.

Obama gives his daughters neither XMas or birthday gifts. Nor does he send out XMas cards.

But he did wish Muslims well on a religious Ramadan.

Muslims don't celebrate XMas or birthdays.

I don't believe that Wright was his pastor either. He might have been a friend to Michelle Obama though...

  • 1. The commercial celebration of XMas has nothing to do with whether or not one attended or was a member of Trinity.

    2. Wishing anyone well at anytime has nothing to do with one's church affiliation, though its a behavior associated with amongst others Christianity.

    3. The fact that Muslims don't celebrate XMas or birthdays is irrelevant to your assertion and unsuccessful attempt to define him as a Muslim.

    4. Your last statement is false conjecture and evidence of sloppy logic.

  • @ronptech

You don't interact with different cultures I presume.

If a group of Chinese people were celebrating Chinese New Years, I wouldn't run up to them and say "Happy New Years!". Nor would they expect me to.

If a group of Indians at work were excited about Diwali, they wouldn't think of me in their celebrations because I'm not a Hindu. No big deal.

If a group of Japanese people were celebrating girl's day, they wouldn't expect a greeting from a westerner.

    it's just odd.

  • And you said all of that to say what? If I accepted your assertions as universally true, which I don't, what does any of that have to do with your faulty attempt to define President Obama as something he is not?

BTW - it appears highly probable from your discourse that you haven't traveled very much, let alone internationally.

  • I lived in another country for several years. I was born in another country.

I also traveled. Unlike your version of "diversity" which narrowly consists of the black community... I have had Muslim friends for several years-all from different areas of the world. I have Buddhist friends FROM Africa. I have Jewish friends who get along with my Muslim friends very well.

I also have friends who are Asian Christians or gringo Hindus.

Do you ever find anything out before you talk?

    NO.

  • Without getting into the mores of most world cultures regarding respect and wishing others wellness and happiness, I found it not surprising but pleasing and respectful to see a Christmas tree in the lobby of the Khalidiya hotel in Abu Dhabi last week.

I still don't see the point of your first post of unconnected sentences regarding President and Mrs. Obama and Rev. Wright.

  • Someone needs to drop a damn daisy cutter in the middle of this church and shut these shitbags up.

  • Great idea! Consider yourself cut off from this conversation...

  • Why don't you do it heathen and stop hoping for someone else to do your bidding like the coward you are?

  • Wright doesnt deserve to preach for preaching hatred of his country instead of preaching about Christ.

Its not in the bible, read it

  • 1. You should review the sermon before making such an ignorant comment.

    2. You have no credibility here, thus where is your certification to back up your assertion/opinion?

  • Not this sermon, the famous one "God Bless America"

  • If that's the case, I suggest your visit the youtube video watch?v=QOdlnzkeoyQ

  • You're a dunce

  • Sounds like the temper tantrum of a six year old when facing contradictions to a deeply held belief.

  • Franklly i don't care anymore what any of you think! That reverse racism bullshit doesn't work on me anymore. Now this man has served his country, community, and our god, he has explained to you dumb rasists bastards that being black is not a bad thing nor is it better than any other race it's jus who we are despite the troubles in our community. And even if he was a muslim(which he is not) what's wrong that? you just proved that alot of whites are rasists and try to twist things with PC BS STFU

  • racist ass. He's more of a antichrist than a reveren. He's a muslim just like obama who thinks that black people should have more rights than white because he does not know how to forgive and is anti-everything except black people.

  • It's always fascinating, although sad when folks like candymanmatt2 slither out of their crypts to demonstrate their lack of credibility and education. The rest of us are laughing at you because obviously your mother didn't teach you how to certify and support accusations or representation of fact?

If you took the time to (a) watch any of these videos it would become readily apparent that Rev. Wright is a Christian who happens to be an Islamic scholar and (b) so what if he was a Muslim?

  • Yea you are right. Wright is nothing like King as King is nothing like Wright...

  • lol

  • kimsfishface, did you know that it was people like Rev. Jeremiah Wright (Martin Luther King Jr.) that called the government out on its sins of the time? He planted the seed that eventually brought about the much needed change and healing in this country.

Martin was hated by the government while he was speaking out. And white churches insisted he couldn't be christian and needed to be stopped

Bigotry and the judgement of anothers walk with God hasn't changed, as so apply demonstrated by you

  • Wright is NOTHING like King.

  • Is this just because you said so, or did you just happen to forget to include some basis to your assertion?

  • you are just a racist and i bet you wish slavery was still in place you damn coon

  • i like Rev. Jeremiah Wright cause he will tell you the truth and you know it is cause the people are acting a fool about it like they say the truth hurt and the thing about America is like if you say the truth then you must be a terrorist

  • MATTHEW 7;15 BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS,which comes to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

  • Hmmm... wonder why after reading this new testament passage I immediately think of Fox News?

  • Hey Rev. Wright Did you know that Jesus threw People like you out of the Church.

  • And how my fellow human being, did you arrive at such a profound conclusion? Which Trinity service(s) have you based your biblical references on?

  • jUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE REV. IN FRONT OF YOUR NAME. GO TO CHURCH,SING SONGS AND CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN DOESN'T MAKE YOU A CHRISTIAN.

  • Kimsfishface - I'm curious, what's your point with the above 25 words? While you're at it - what makes a Christian?

  • Rich white people are the main source of anguish throughout the world and are responsible for the the general fuckup of the middle class in america.

  • Did you see how many rich Black people were involved in the recent bank failings? Some getting as much as 100 million while millions loose everything under their watch. Check of the savings and lone failures.

  • It's not black or white it is green that is causing this economy to falter. Whether what color, race, or religion you are when you are allowed to walk away with millions of dollars in bonuses when the company goes under, there is a problem.

Please don't try to make it a black vs. white issue when it is clearly about greed.

  • This So called "Rev" has been exposed as someone that broke up a marriage... any apologists out there that want to defend that with scripture ?

  • the rushie neocons are sooo much like killers charlie manson and jefferie dahmer that i confuse the three ... they spend to much of their time on the wrong side of the law ... take how the rushie neocons ordered the cia to forge documents linking sadam to al qaeda ... and i tell you they ordered that govt anthrax scientist to send some of his white powder to dashchle too ... diabolical ... the neocons spend $400M+ for show biz talk shows to dupe the dopes ... but they had to knock off russert

  • the rushie neocons are sooo much like killers charlie manson and jefferie dahmer that i confuse the three ... look at their best buddies ... the bin laden family, ken lay, scooter libby, karl rove ... and when an honest person speaks up like mineta did on 911 under oath testimony ... the 50, 30, 10 miles ... aircraft has hit the pentagon ... they throw him under the bus ... diabolical ... the neocons spend $400M+ for show biz talk shows to dupe the dopes ... but they had to knock off russert

  • Testimony of Hope is a collection of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's actual speeches, not interpretation. I think that qualifies as better than history.

  • Its funny how people who only listen to a sound bite or Glenn Beck/Lou Dobbs rants are experts. The people that seem to be so against Trinity have never been there, nor heard of Wright, Cone, etc. Most people do not even know what King or X believed. Only what they have heard or were told. X was no different from the NRA in the sense of self defense. X felt that for the sake of freedom, yes you have to fight (not much different from a lot of the Founding Fathers). Even King said defend yourself

  • To be 31, you're not well read. I would begin by reading Martin's "Testimony of Hope," followed by the Martin Luther King, Jr papers at Stanford University, the Autobiography of Malcolm X and finally "Martin & Malcolm & America: A Dream or a Nightmare," before making anymore unresearched assertions.

  • Sounds more like George W. Bush to me than Jeremiah Wright. Compare apples to apples, not oranges.

  • Christmas is not from Africa. Its from Europe and Babylon.

    Jeremiah 10:3-4:

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

What happened to the Reverend's good ol' fashioned common sense?

  • "Such a shallow analysis."

Except that it shows your words are hollow. Don't like facing the truth that followers don't make the religion, nor the church?

    "Trinity has a long history..."

And? It doesn't matter how much good you do if you are speaking hate.

"with Jim Jones is like comparing..."

I didn't compare Trinity with Jim Jones. I said you were ridiculous to say that the amount of followers in a church influences its benefit on society. There are many examples of otherwise

  • Either you're a 34 year old fool who can't remember what he writes or you're experiencing mental difficulties. If was you who suggested I "ask Jim Jones."

Regarding religion, the government and Iraq, remember the following:

"President Bush said to all of us: 'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me, 'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did." - G.W. Bush via BBC interview

  • Buchanan did once try to run for pred. btw

  • No shit. The question was "is Buchanan RUNNING for President?"

    The answer is still no.

  • but the fact is Buchanan said that and no one has covered the story or brought that hate filled racist facism to the light that this is how most of old Euro-American politicans think.Senator Obama has publicily denounced that type of thinking..he's past every "American" litmus test they throw at him..it's pathetic but they dont wanna target the real issues like Buchanan why because most of these institutions are hinged on the same ideaology of racism FOX news,MNBC,Post,NY TIMES etc..

  • Is Buchanan running for President?

Then that's the answer to your question.

  • ALAUH AKBAR, whats up with this nigger, n-e wayz?

  • @ anonutube22,

U just proved the Reverends point when he talked about IGNORANCE.

  • I don't really care if he makes several sermons about family, the importance of faith, and community ties.

Once he said "GOD DAMN AMERICA," he lost all and any credibility right then and there. That's nothing more disgusting than someone saying that when they're guaranteed the right to say that by the first amendment, and the right to use their faith to propel their hate-filled messages. "GOD DAMN AMERICA"? Then feel free to live America, good sir. You wont find free speech in Rwanda, however

  • You're entitled to your opinion. I guess he hit a nerve in you somewhere between guilt and denial.

  • An assumption you make, one that is also wrong in nature.

I'm not in denial. The things he said were not doctored or taken out of context. He stood on the pulpit and shouted "GOD DAMN AMERICA" several times. God damn the country that gives him the right to say that? That's hypocritical, and ignorant.

As for guilt? Jeremiah is only one guilty here. That's a weak attempt at blame shifting on your account.

I also like how he calls America a terrorist entity. Disgusting venom.

  • Obviously you have your own agenda and will refuse to listen to anything else, lest do any work to verify your own assertions. If you listen to the whole sermon you will understand that the whole point was that we have reached a dangerous precipice when we seek revenge and murder innocent people, behavior which is condemned by God in the bible. It's not my problem nor Rev. Wright's if you can't connect the dots. He has his faith community and many others who continue to support his efforts.

  • I don't have my own agendas. I just don't believe your self-righteous bullshit, to be honest.

And I listened to the sermon. Guess what, he still said "GOD DAMN AMERICA." He still said that the U.S. government made AIDS to kill black people.

Saying an otherwise uneventful and perhaps even inspiring sermon DOES NOT make those comments any less venemous.

If he is so supported, why did Barack Obama denounce his comments? Hmm?

  • America is a terrorist entity.

Any place that vows for peace, equality, etc. & uses violence against unfortunate people should be damned by God, Allah, Buddha, Krishna, etc.

You may dislike how Rev. Wright stated his views, but can you say he lied?

    I'll give you a minute.

    ....

    Nope.

So instead of getting upset about hearing the truth, pick up a book and educate yourself.

  • "America is a terrorist entity."

No, it's not. You're being absurd.

"Any place that vows for peace, equality, etc. & uses violence"

Heh? How is America a terrorist entity by waging a war that the UN backs? No answer, huh?

"You may dislike how Rev. Wright stated his views, but can you say he lied?"

No, he didn't lie. He just has crackpot conspiracy theorist and hateful filled opinions that most of the country is disgusted at. And that Obama doesn't agree with, either.

  • He meant the USA as a government. Not God Damn the people. Not God damn the princples of the constitution.

  • A cop-out.

He said "GOD DAMN AMERICA," and that's what he ment.

  • oh, and he meant the government

    not americans

  • Again, a cop-out. He said "GOD DAMN AMERICA." That means god damn America.

  • Exactly!

Interesting how all the attention is on Jeremiah Wright's use of the "God Damn America" phrase rather than acknowledging America's involvement with murder of innocent people as a consequence of it's desire for revenge. That my friends is the fundamental point of Jesus Christ's crucification and the sermon if you were not so lazy to view it, else we all perish by our own doing. Violence has one and only one ultimate result - total destruction!

  • "America's involvement with murder of innocent people as a consequence of it's desire for revenge"

Revenge has nothing to do with the war on terror. I think you've been listening to too much political commentary.

And we aren't murdering innocents on purpose, either. Not as a whole, anyways.

"Violence has one and only one ultimate result - total destruction!"

Even Jesus Christ preached the right to defending ones' self and country.

Goalpost moving will not make the comments go away

  • (1) Terror is terror!

    (2) The pretense for Iraq was 9/11

    (3) Tell that to the victims. I am tired of you folks who riding on the top of the ship praying to a god for peaceful materialistic blessings, totally ignorant of those chained below praying to a God for deliverance.

(4)Bombing the weak != defense, though your comment does equate to radical Islam's use of the same phrase for the same purpose.

Goalposts aren't moving, just you viewing the world through the oppressors eyeglasses.

  • "1) Terror is terror!"

Except this isn't terrorism. Read the dictionary definition, please.

"(2) The pretense for Iraq was 9/11"

    Uh, no, it wasn't. WMDs.

"(3) Tell that to the victims..."

The victims I've heard from are glad to no longer be victims of Saddem Hussein.

And I'm tired of people such as yourself that are constantly portraying us as some terrorist force when we're doing humanitary relief in the same country we're "terrorizing." Your story doesn't add up.

  • (1) You really are stuck on stupid, but I guess it comes with the glasses. Innocent people - women and children were killed. Pre-emptive strikes are not defensive.

    (2) A lie. Don't forget the only country on the planet to use WMDs and all the innocent people who lost their lives. There is absolutely no biblical justification for that.

    (3) see (2)

  • why waste time responding to matchesburn? He's ignorant& only God n a book can change that

my mom [former secret service employee]& father [fed.trade commission]informed me of gov't activities at a young age. Many scenarios that ppl consider theories could very poss. be true [RE:Wright's AIDS comment]

im pursuing a poli.sci. degree this year (17 & in college =]) b/c i refused to be such an ignorant soul & believe the lies that the gov't tells

im glad there r still ppl like u - that think lol

  • "why waste time responding to matchesburn? He's ignorant& only God n a book can change that"

How am I ignorant when you respect a man that claims the U.S. government made AIDS to kill black people (and how exactly would THAT work)?

I believe in god. Just not yours - that god damns America and preaches hate and seperation. Your god is a false one.

  • there is proof that the government is not always honest

    but

is there proof of your god?

  • In my opinion, yes.

  • And, post scriptum, you're a self admitted 17-year-old that thinks he knows everything in the world. You're 17 and you don't know shit about shit. Once you've had to pay the bills and lived life, come back and perhaps then I'll take your words at more than a grain of salt.

  • proof that you base your opinions w/o fact --- i'm a female.

and i do pay bills, i help my boyfriend with the child he had in a previous marriage, i take care of my siblings,& yet still maintain a 3.8 GPA

so go f*ck yourself you ignorant asshole

  • I responded to this, but my comment seemed to "disappear."

1.) I never said anything about yout sex. It doesn't matter, either. You're still a 17-year-old (self-admitted) that knows little of how the world works.

2.) You're lying. You say you're 17, yet your profile clearly says you're 19. If you lied on that, you can lie about this. I don't believe you.

Try and pawn off yourself as a responsible adult to some idiot that will believe your bullshit. That's not me, for future reference.

  • i put 19 so i can see "adult clips" b/c some americans think that if a clip includes cursing, a 17 yr old should not be allowed to see it.

i wouldn't expect you to believe me, yet i find it amusing that you are silly enough to believe your gov't. lol I bet the sudanese trusted their gov't too, but the literate world knows that that was a mistake. hopefully one day you will turn on that lil lightbulb in your head and decide to think on your own

    sincerely,

    a responsible young adult =]

  • "You really are stuck on stupid..."

Again, goalpost moving. You're avoiding the points and simply making emotional arguments and ad-hominem attacks. This is a sign of a losing argument.

    "A lie..."

Except it's what Congress voted on and was the justification for the war. Again, you were wrong. You claimed it was revenge, I proved your statements to be wrong.

Let me guess - you're a 9/11 "Truther" as well?

  • "(4)Bombing the weak != defense, though your comment does equate to radical Islam's use of the same phrase for the same purpose."

Religion has nothing to do with our military efforts in Iraq. Thinking otherwise is pandering.

And we aren't bombing the weak. We're bombing murderers.

    "Goalposts aren't moving..."

Which is why you keep changing the topic and don't answer my questions.

    Try again.

  • I answered your question although I didn't have to and have frankly lost patience. You typify the warnings described in Luke, Chapter 16. Hopefully one day you'll understand. Until then, may God open your eyes and bless you with the ability to see.

  • what i find interesting is the fact that less than a month ago Pat Buchanan spewed forth a racist monologe called "A message to Whitey" on MNBC 3/23/08 where he stated "blacks should be greatful for slavery it brought them christanity!" yes he said this but they are so focused on Wright because rascism is still alive and kicking in political propaganda

  • OBAMA 08!!

  • The rich and powerfull like the Rockafellas and Rothschilds want you to think that people like Rev. Wright are racist to keep you in the position your in, Poor or middle class while their multi Billionares for oppressing a people. Do you think its right for the De bears and other White powerfull peopl should own the gold mines in South Africa? Do you know how many get killed for power and control. Listen to Rev. Wright and research what he says and determine if he's accurate or a racist.

  • white racists spread the aids epidemic accross the world. white racists make black people not able to get a job. white racists make blacks not get an education. white racist put blacks in jail. white racists this white racists that. In reality its the negros that dont get an education and go to prision and spread aids because they are just that way.

  • Study your history and see how most Wealthy White people got their wealth. The funny thing is, they don't give a damn about you. The rich mingle with the rich, power is power they don't care about poor people, white black or brown. The poor people hate each other while their making Billions of dollars off of poor people. Its not about color its about class and thats how its alway been. Rich white people call poor white people dirty white trash, a poor white wont be able to marry a Wealthy on

  • Well Christmas IS a pagan holiday (sol invictus) How many evergreen trees or wreaths or reindeer do you see in Israel? hahaha Its a pagan holiday sugarcoated to get pagans to become christians jesus was born in march or april. Easter is the same way the pagans worshipped Ishtar the god of fertility and if they found an easter egg "Ishtar would bless them with a child" which is why we have easter egg hunts and rabbits which have the most offspring. Of course Reverend Wrong would never tell u that

  • Obviously either you didn't feel it was necessary to take the time to review the whole sermon, else you just plain didn't get it. In either case yours is a personal problem only you have control of.

  • Ever hear of the Tuskegee Experiments? If you have you would not find the notion that we spread AIDS to Blacks that farfetched.

It was one of the most notorius medical experiments in US history. The experiment lasted four decades, until public health workers leaked the story to the media. I don't believe whites DID spread AIDS but I can see how some might believe that. I am white and I have the utmost respect for the Reverend Wright.

  • "I don't believe whites DID spread AIDS but I can see how some might believe that"

Well, if I was sucked into this church and heard all this stuff being said every Sunday, I just might believe it too!

There's a sucker born every minute!

  • Heard all what "stuff being said every Sunday?"

I agree, "there's a sucker born every minute," who bases their opinions and judgment on out of context sound bites, which they then turn around and represent as factual representations in the abstract.

  • You can't be serious!

Do you have the volume on, on your computer?
