The buildings are very original, not many cultures come close to their design, beautiful place. The Coca-Cola and McDonalds to not seem to wane from the beauty of the surroundings.

The "Shanghai" city, by its definition, has a very short history of no more than 100 years. This part is just a garden. The real old town of "Shanghai" is called "Songjiang". But in terms of old town, Beijing, Xi'an are better.

lol, mcDonalds and stuff like that everywhere, i heard they closed down the starbucks in the forbidden city though, or something like that. Old Shanghai really is beautiful, most of the old cities in China are.

Thanks Emma.I was in SHanghai the first week of this month for 3 nights and really enjoyed it but their is one thing tat I really hate. SQUATTING!!!! I really dont have a clue why do they keep doing that. Wish China gov could band this bad habit of these ppl. I did not vist the old Shanghai plce, Always a next time eh.

Shanghai is nice and one of the most beautiful city in the world but Hangzhou and Xuzhou people are nicer. That is my personal taughts because I met many nice and friendly people in Xuzhou.

I like shanghai a little bit, but Nanjing is much better. The Nanjing people is nicer. And the city is more beautiful. but yes, I love China over evrything :)

Heyaa!! :) Those ribbon thingies were only for new year! We went back a couple of days after last day of the Chinese New Year, and the tree was all gone. Including many of the lanterns! I'm so glad i got to see it all decorated! :D
