thats unfortunate, but he's lucky to have a great owner like you, have you considered letting his wings grow so he can use them as another means of transportation around the house?

I love Bert!!! he is adorable...My heart goes out to you Thank you for making him happy. I to have a handicapped little budgie TinyTim who has crippled feet. They are truly amazing and we are blessed to have them in our lives :)

the people who I got Bert from didn't own the parents and didn't kill the other two they just took Bert on

I massage his feet with tiger balm and he's all over the house so he's doing great!I clipped his wings so he could move around easier and his toenails are just getting to a normal length,We adore him!

the people that had him said he was born crippled up and that they killed the 2 others because of the severe problems. I have no idea about what caused it but it was probably a lack of a vitamin in the parents or a genetic problem. He wasn't allowed out of his cage in his other home and not much stimulation

@cindygahan why did they kill the others? they could of at least send them to another parrot rescue shelter..
