Why would you do speed and agility training on sand? It defeats the purpose of building reactive stretch shortening cycle from the floor which is solid for most sports. This may help with sports specifics like beach volleyball.
@LoveFitnessEd Serves as a for of resistance, and the unstable surface improves balance and strengthens ankles. It works, I do it personally living five minutes from the beach, and I've lowered my 40, 20ys, 3 cone, and improved my vert. My backpedal is a hell of lot quicker too.
