just hittin ya back on the message it got from you...i know my age is kinda youngf to be talking like i know what im doing but i have been running rivers my whole life...took my first trip when i was 16 months old and started guiding when i was 15. i guided my first grand canyon trip when i was 15 as well and have taken three since then. my dad and uncle guided for oars in the 80's so yeah i know brad and brian derker...

Whoever the boatman was clearly needs a LOT more experience. Looks like a private boat. Hopefully no one was hurt. Even though goen into it, you could see they were headed for trouble BUT I KNOW those in the boat had a really wet GREAT TIME! LOL

We took the right side. (Much more of a 'RIDE!') We ALMOST flipped. We were at about a 90 degree angle, we hung on and made it through! AWESOME!! I was still pumped for about 30 mins after Lava! OH YEAH!!
At least they missed the Ledge Hole - otherwise pretty much everything that could went wrong. Too bad the passenger-turned-swimmer couldn't have gotten ahold of the boat - he could have kept it from going over. As it is, he scored a hat trick: surf, passenger dump, and flip.
