Wow where did u buy this brand new 586 processor unit :O didnt knewed that brandnew ones still alive :D
I wished I had my 100mhz pentium with 7mb grapics and 32mb Ram back :( I was young and silly and after the Harddrive was broken I didnt changed it I disaseblyed the Pc and then I took it to the trash omg im so sad now that I threw it away :(((((((
i remember when i worked on those 386 /sx computers... i have this old 486 compaq computer w/win 3.11 i'm a clockmaker now. pc fixing was (and always will be) fun :D
I had computer that looked like that. I think it was made by NEC and I had windows 3.1. Solitare was the shizniz back then I used to be on it for hours lol
haha nice. my first was a compaq deskpro something. either 286 or 386. and had a 486 upgrade chip in it. second was an ibm aptiva 2176-c55. haha no problem.
wooot. have fun with that haha. this computer actually didnt work for the longest time but then i did something a long time ago and it worked again but i dont remember what now lol.
I have four of those old SX, and the boards comes from HP...nice lol! One day, I shall shine with a camcorder and record my PCs, to see if they work...it's ben ages now since their last run!
Since my agp graphics card broke down, the 486sx is my gaming machine.

Back the, 8 MB was more than what you'd need. Now, 512 MB is barely Vista compatible.
TheGeek1028 3 years ago
yea but only 56mb will run a recent optimized linux distro really fast (like Ångström)

The 486SX was like, old man! Bring a Pentium 4 or Core 2 Duo instead.
