  • @Bookwormygirly this musical instrument was invention of kirat in the Himalayas. kiratas and chinese used to meet at yangtze valley over 3000+ years ago for trade, business and culture. kiratas are the native of nepal and NE India. watch this video --> kiratas:the Himalayas race

  • From1.22 thats more like nepali melody.. ones at the front were indian raga.. every flutist have their own way of playing that melody whereas in raga u are bounded to play within it but u can improvise a little n play around raga.. when m i goina to learn the raga??? haha..

  • ha. the name of the country is nepal.

  • They are same.. both have 6 holes and we use the same sa re ga ma.. i guess some guys in the villages do make 5 holed flutes as well but having six holes is complete i guess..

  • is there a difference between the Bansuri in Nepal and the one from India?

  • there are 6 or 7 holes, and the instrument is used in india, bangladesh and pakistan (as well as nepal)

    oh and theres a bass bansuri too
