Where does your horrid data come from? Pokemon first came out in Japan in February 27, 1996 through video games, while Digimon first came out in Japan in March 7, 1999 through the anime. Pokemon was factually out before Digimon.

Also, Pokemon = Pocket Monsters, bear that in mind.

OMg.. I love digimon. Always have, i remember being a kid watching the new episodes every week. the first 2 seasons were the best, now that its not mainstream nomore, i love it even more. Actually, Digimon Xros Wars does have regular digivolution after all. In episode 30 of the show Shoutmon digivolves to OmegaShoutmon and uses his new power to fight Tactimon. With Xros Wars being the first Digimon season made and broadcast in HD the whole sequences looks absolutely brilliant in motion. Besides, the same episode also has Omnimon playing a key role in the plot. Give the show a chance, there is no need to wait for tomorrow when what you want is already within reach.

With Pokemon people would stay just for the old series and just the games. And then they would switch between this and Yugioh. With Digimon they never really faulted in how great the quality they made it. I mean yes it may seem like a relic of yesterday but I'm pretty sure all the digimon fans who were there in the beginning are still very much there.I always will be
