Alberta Jam 1 ,Calgary Alberta 79 with Jay Ferguson, and I believe Cheap Trick and ZZ top headlined.Thrall,Cowling,Aldredge lineup.Fuckin'Monsters,man.
Dude you are so right!.. I've always dug that in your face tone he derives with the use of his ADA Flanger... Wish Pat Thrall was still with him, that was the definitive lineup.
I saw Pat Travers in El Paso TZ, Jon Butcher Axis opened up, then Aerosmith headlined the show. Talk about great guitars and showmanship! that was one of the best shows I'd been to!
Hey, I also saw Pat Travers at the old Vet in PHX...I went to the same HS as Alice Cooper, so it was a tradition to go see him at Veterans during the state fair...on McDowell and 19th...great memories
i saw him with a bunch of bands back in Phoenix in 78' 79' , maybe Alice Cooper and Van Halen at the State Fair in Phoenix Memorial Coliseum for like $3- to get in the fair and the show was free ! fucking awesome , they blew it up , BOOM BOOM out go the lights! everyone expected VH and Cooper to rock but PT stole the show , for years we talked about who was better that night! Thanks for this, I love youtube and youtubers, Peace
I saw P.T. open for Rush a few times in MI back around 78-79, perfect match. His sound was so clean even as opening act I was stunnded watching him play.
i saw P.T. open for cheap trick 1979. P.T. was awesome with Pat Thrall Tommy Aldridge and Mars Cowling in the line up. He should get that band back together!! Saw him the next year with Deep Purple opening for him. P.T. was a 3 peice band, but he still rocked out!
I was in the audience at Gusman Hall in Miami when he recorded this and made it famous... It was December, 1978. PT still rocks, though his hair is shorter, the ceiling is much lower and the lights aren't going out... What a memory!
I can remember 2 sold out shows in 2 nights at the paramount in portland oregon. sad to say but his paul reed smith guitar is worth more than what they were paid for this gig
Is the A/C broken?
