I live in Washington, so usually we have a fair amount of rain, but it's not always raining hard enough to hear it over the sounds in my house such as the fishtank water filter, the fireplace and such. My dad always told me to think of rain as a lullaby, and that's what it has became. I love the sound of rain, and this helps me sleep.

Yogaduke, do you take requests? One soundscape I would really really enjoy is medium to heavy rain with distant thunder in a (rain)forest by a stream. Does not absolutely need to be rain forest but there should be present the sound of rain drops falling on leaves. I would love this, and can not find one. I would pay for that, actually. Please help me sleep if you can :)

@TheDevilbound Thanks for stopping by! Look through my playlist for Raindrops and maybe Spring Rain or Lite Rain they are about the closest I have to what your talking about right now. It has been a very bad year for rain where I am at in Texas this year. But I am planing more when it comes.

Can't seem to find a rainforest soundscape with rain,weird.. The sounds of frogs and other small animals have a soothing effect on me. I have had sleeping disorders from birth and it is really hard for me to get sleep,starting to get to me at times (35 years of age now). Anyways, peace man!

Reminds me of the heavy patter of rain we got night after night whilst training on Salisbury Plains in the British Army. We dug little trench pits, put our waterproof basha's over the top, got down inside and slept like babies.

@sunieme Well I'm not sure what program you use but I do know that the way that I did it is that first; go to your start Menu at the bottom left hand side of your computer. Type in Power Options. When you see it pop up click it. When the new window pops up there should be an option on the left side that says "Change when computer sleeps" click it and just put it it to the time thats best for you.

This is sooooo relaxing. I'm waking up. It is 5AM. I hear the rain and distant thunder. I don't have to go to work today. My wife rises and I am left with the full bed. It is warm. I stretch out. I keep listening to the rain. The little dog is beside me, so warm as I stroke her. The rain is not ending. It feels sooo good, I can't describe it. I quickly fall back to a deep, deep sleep.

Wow amazing vid, I love this type of rain, The thunder, the thick drops of rain hitting difrent surfaces crashing into stone, earth and leaf and turning into a choir of serenety and calm. @yogaduke a moderate downpour with no dripping sounds... it doesnt sound good when you can here the rain water dripping from rooftops or other things and hitting a pool of water, makes it sound like someone pissing in a toliet, lol... and with all that add some calm thunder and occasional loud thunder clap =/
