@gahrGoyl If you were to look at it that way, I think it should be flipped. Catherine's character was out of cold blooded murder. Renee...well, she wasn't exactly responsible but there was some danger in her situation in that era and is therefore somewhat understandable. But in honesty BOTH should be in black.

I can tell you that a host of these have won Tonys and as wella as movie awards!

Haha. Having been in theater my whole life, I don't think that he has that great of a voice. But I will agree that he's a great actor.

But still, most of the actors in Hollywood have been on Broadway already, so it's not terribly unusual that an actor would be a good singer.

Oh I'm completely agree. :) I think that he pulled it off just fine. I know that it's not about having a great voice.

Even still, he pulled the part off very well, and I really can't think of a lot of other actors that would have done a better job.
