Bands like this are so fucking underrated. I'd rather listen to some old Saxon, Maiden, Priest, Sabbath or Diamond head than any of the putrid shit that you could class as "mainstream" in the last 10-15 years.
@PureChristian1 He could barely speak a few words of English, and was only in England for about 1 year of his life. He was not the greatest king of England. no way.

I've read up on the policies of Richard. He wasn't exactly very popular. His popularity rose after King John took the crown.

He is on record as showing very little concern for his comfort or safety and yet taking the greatest pains as to provide and protect English lives. It is also documented that when the Crusaders disbanded and the English headed home, his men wept openly when he said goodbye to them as he took a separate route. He may not have been the best of the English kings, but he was one of the most beloved.
@Patriot320 I only recently read up on some of his Chronicle "The Itinerarium" by Helen Nicholson. I'll give ya that one. King Richard was definitely something else. I recommend the book.

Hail Saxon!!! I saw them live a few days ago with Judas Priest and they were AWESOME, specially Hammer of the Gods made the whole colisseum trumble, as with Crusader, Heavy Metal Thunder and Princess of the night \m/

@comotose762 Aye, Richard the Lionheart, while he was off fighting in the crusades his brother John held a horrible tyranny over England. Richard seemed pretty restless though, out of his ten year reign he only spent ten months in England I believe
