He simply hacked it for personal usage and running homebrew aplications on firmwares such as 3.55 What he did do though, is just post a demo of his attempts, and other hackers who saw it were the ones to go into the PSN network..he said: "Running homebrew and exploring security on your devices is cool; hacking into someone else's server and stealing databases of user info is not cool".

GUYS UNDERSTAND THIS: Geohot (George Hotz) wasnt the one to break and hack into the playstation network system. He simply hacked it for personal usage and running homebrew aplications on firmwares such as 3.55 What he did do though, is just post a demo of his attempts, and other hackers who saw it were the ones to go into the PSN network..he said: "Running homebrew and exploring security on your devices is cool; hacking into someone else's server and stealing databases of user info is not cool".
