  • They're cheering at the 16-minute mark because it's been 16 years since they've had a team.

  • Nordiques fans invade Ottawa...

    ...Coming soon!

  • @markkg15 I've already seen the headlines this morning. They're already grabbing attention at the Sens game today in the run up to the game itself

I like these fans. Making their point without having to resort to conspiracy theories.

  • @VancouverChokers Just came back from Ottawa, it was great. There was even some Sens fans with signs promoting the return of our team :) We were always on the big screen too hehe :) Had a great time, thank you Ottawa!

Nordiques Nation invade Boston and Detroit, coming soon. :) Go Nordiques Go!

  • @markkg15 That's great to see. My team was the old Nordiques (Avs guy here) and the Nords may very well become my East team of choice if you guys get your team back. I've sort of been partial to the Bruins in the East since Ray helped us win a Cup in 2001 but I'll root for the Nords if you get your team back.

And I can't stress enough that you guys are going about it the right way, just as Winnipeg did. No conspiracy theories involved.

  • @VancouverChokers It's only a matter of time now, been waiting for this moment my whole life.

  • @markkg15 I would agree. D. Cherry has said Quebec City will have a team and these days when Don says something you can pretty well take it to the bank.

  • Don Cherry himself has said that QC WILL have a team. It's going to happen, it's only a matter of time.

  • Holy Shit these fans are actually chanting in English!!!

  • The two Coyotes fans disliked this video.

  • Betteman is scum. If I ever see him I'm gonna beat the shit outta him.

  • jack edwards is right

  • Cities that can't handle hockey teams financially like the coyotes, canes, and panthers should just move all their teams to Canada.

There, better for all of the NHL.

  • I'm a habs fan but quebec really deserve his team like winnipeg.

  • thats dope

  • i miss that team lol. fuck there are so many shitty hockey teams that no one likes like Phoenix, Florida, New York Islanders (its all about rangers). replace those teams with Canadian teams.

  • Quebec City first, Greater Waterloo are second. get the neglected teams out of the backwards south already.

  • DEVILS to QUEBEC

  • canadiens to new orleans

  • the canadian economy is far different now than it was back in 1995. quebec was not forced to sell their team b/c of lack of fan support...it was b/c of the dollar disparities.

quebec could easily support a team now. it's too bad that fucking piece of dogshit bettman has his head so far up his ass when it comes to the dying franchise that is the phoenix coyotes

  • Might aswell give the Coyotes to Quebec and Panthers to New Brunswick.

  • I hope the same dream us Winnipeg Jets fans got to live out happen for the Quebec Nordiques fans! It's possible... $400 million arena in the works.

  • It was so great having the Nordiques Nation there.

This Devils fan is thankful for their presence that day.

  • COYOTES TO QUEBEC!

    PANTHERS TO HARTFORD!

  • @Ally1391 EXPANSION IN ATLANTA....... yes...... no damn

  • @godawgs721 Actually I wouldn't be surprised once they redo the conferences to have 4 divisions if Bettman awarded an expansion franchise to Atlanta and Phoenix again to even out the amount of teams per conference (8 per division)

  • @DJOmnimaga I wish

  • Coyotes shall become the Nordiques (bring hell back to Montreal, Winnipeg, and Ottawa)

Panthers become the Whalers (need that to break up the Bruins Country)

add a team in Green Bay, Wisconsin near the Canadian border and you get a team called the Wisconsin Farmers (rivalry with Maple Leafs, Red Wings, Penguins, and the Winnipeg Jets.)

  • @JCSCougar i was thinking Halifax, Hamilton, Kansas City, Saskatoon and Seattle but thats my opinion.

  • @JCSCougar No...definitely not Green Bay. It's a small city they can only support one team.

  • @Ally1391 ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

Coyotes to Quebec City would be epic!!!!!

Panthers to Kansas City though...they have a much bigger market

  • @SachuBachu Hartford may look small city wise, but there metro is somewhat sizealbe to so some major cities.

  • @Ally1391

    don't forget

    Stars to Seattle

    Ducks to Portland

    Hurricanes to Milwaukee

  • Number 1 - don't make Bettman mad! the Nordiques had strong support even when they were a last place team; now that the Av's are a last place team - they have no fans.

Number 2 - the Montreal Canadiens will not allow a team in Quebec City, they don't want to share the Quebec Province.

  • @ECWnWWF

Supporting your hometown team which isn't doing great is something Canadian, look at the Leafs

We're not doing great but still not bad and Leafsnation still believes that we will get better..

    We loves our leafs!!

And I believe getting a franchise back in Quebec City would be a good thing for Quebec...

  • Phoenix to Quebec...I mean I'm a Lightning fan and even I know they guys need a team.

  • I hope Quebec gets their team again, I'm glad my Jets came home, but I hope you guys get a team. NHL Please, anything but a GTA team.

  • takako uehara!

    anpanman!

  • @keiichiudagawa What?

  • that was so cool when they all started coming down the aisles to get near the glass, i hope Bettman saw what real hockey fans look like

  • @IceDragon1377 Bettman is a joke. Guy is so dumb and he wonders why he gets booed in Canada.

  • phoenix to quebec. not my isles. isles to brooklyn

  • Why not bring a franchise back to Quebec? I loved the Nordiques when I was a kid, and I've always been a Bruins fan. I own a Ron Hextall Nords jersey!

  • LES NORDIQUES DE QUEBEC!!! Please, please, Bettman, listen to these die-hard Quebec hockey fans in the stands! Quebec City needs an NHL team. Winnipeg got its hockey club back, so please do the right thing!

COME BACK TO NORDIQUES NATION!!! LE FLEUR DE LIS!!!

  • Being a lifelong Boston Bruins fan.. I found this video while searching for the Quebec Nordiques.. my heritage is from Quebec and I definately want them back now that Winnipeg is back

  • Once Bettman's assisanated.....i mean resigned!

Every Province of Canada will have an NHL Team

  • @TheCrowneJewel Not Saskatchewan, NB, NS or PEI.

  • @ChachaChapati NB - not really

    Saskatchewan - Maybe

    NS - Maybe

    PEI - No

  • @TheCrowneJewel I can definitely see Quebec City getting a team--keep the Nordiques name--in the near future, but every large Canadian city has a team...so 22 American and 8 Canadian teams would work out (assuming one American team--Phoenix, probably--would relocate). Plus, the battle of Quebec, again, would make for great hockey.

    Forgot Newfoundland (no).

  • Quebec wont get a NHL team unless the USA Markets are all exhausted.

  • The devils are gonna be great next season! (with or without Parise, but preferably with)

  • devils wont be moving...ever

  • Devils fan here. I hope you guys get a team back. One of my first hockey memories was seeing the Nordiques during Forsberg's rookie season at the old Brendan Byrne Arena. Great fans and a great city. Good luck.

  • This is I'd drop my previous team and cheer for Quebec if/when they get the Panthers! Amazing! Guarantee the two dislikes are Habs fans too...

  • I was there. The Devil fans welcomed them and we wished them their team back/ that is passion

  • Sounds like "lets go Expos"

  • Atlanta, Phoenix, Columbus, and Florida are only a few of the teams that should be shipped straight to Canada ASAP. In a lot of these U.S. cities hockey is a faster version of the Ice Capades, none of them care about the game! Just look at the barely half-full arenas all around the league. It's ridiculous. I hate the Quebec fans but they deserve a team more than freakin' New Jersey!

  • @j5pats619 Sorry, we've at least always showed up for our team. Go the fuck away.

  • @adsbuckeye3 Maybe you have, but your city hasn't. Let's face it, the only way you can fill up the arena is if it's a playoff game. But you guys have too much history with Brodeur and the 3 cups for Bettman to touch you unless you guys are in financial trouble. I'm mainly talking about the cities who don't care about hockey and can't support the team.

  • @j5pats619 What city? New Jersey isn't a city. Its a state that has fans of an original 6 team and a team thats been their since the original expansion. We actually do sell out our games, and not only when the Rangers come to play us or whatever bullshit some smartass might come up with. We sucked last year and still had sellouts. We might have a small fanbase, but our arena can be just as loud as a packed ACC in Toronto or anywhere else. Screw off buddy. Go take your bullshit else where.

  • @adsbuckeye3 Look buddy, my problem isn't with New Jersey. It's not like I hate the fans or the team. But I look at your half empty arena on a night to night basis and say they don't give shit. Then I look at a bunch of fans from Quebec City who bus down to these games begging for a team that they would support no matter what. It's fucking ridiculous that cities like Phoenix or Florida have teams that they can't support and don't care about. You may not like it but it's the truth.

  • @j5pats619 I didn't realize 15k+ in an arena that seats 17.6K was half empty. Piss off buddy, go cry to your other canadian friends about how the US doesn;t deserve hockey

  • @adsbuckeye3 I'm from Boston, and I love hockey in US cities THAT CARE. I'm not calling for the NHL to take the Devils from New Jersey. It's ridiculous that Florida and Phoenix have teams when cities who care and will show up to games don't. I don't care if they're Canadian. If they can't afford the team than they shouldn't have them. But there are teams like Atlanta, in debt because of lack of revenue and will probably be shut down. You're telling me Quebec City doesn't deserve a team over them

  • @j5pats619 Atlanta's gone. Florida, the Panthers are a sideshow compared to what that arena brings in from other events. Any profit they make is seen as a bonus by their owners which is kinda sad really. Phoenix...after all the NHLs done to keep them (unfairly) its not going anywhere.

  • @j5pats619 You don't know shit about the Devils. There is never a game where the arena is half empty, and the Devils average 15k per game and sold our 12-14 games last year. So learn your shit, NJ has a huge fan base.

  • the nhl needs a new team. not for anything, i figure canada deserves it more than an american team. any city except one that is relatively close to montreal would be find with me.

  • thats realy sad Quebec Winnipeg and Hamilton need a nhl team then you will see the nhl starting to make money and if you watch a game in canada its that loud all the time

  • Yeah all i remeber is that they didnt even announce the game in English in Quebec. How do they Expect a team to even exist there if the marketing has to be done in English, it is NHL you know? . Problem is that their own government didnt even front them the money to keep that awsome Club that was on the Rise . Hope you get your Club back, Best wishes.

  • @Div303 Of course they did not announce games in English, Quebec City is 95% French. Do they announce in French in Toronto? Marketing was not an issue and only one player ever refused to go to Quebec City: Lindros (best thing to happen to the franchise.) The language thing was never an issue, its a political "non-point" some uneducated people like to make. Ask Foote, Sackick, Hunter, the Stastnys and others it it was ever a problem when they played for the Nordiques.

  • @1curieux How was marketing not an issue whe you just admited 95% of the city speaks French??? Fan BAse is not marketing .Dont get me wrong man,i have nothing against that Qebec province, but it is the God damn NHL . As far as the players you mentioned above , those guys have character Lindross Does not . Hence why they idiot couldnt even make it in the NHL. Bottom Line,s as shallow as NHL may be they still managed not to keep a Team there . Regardless how stong fan base you have there.

  • @Div303 Not sure I get your point... Quebeckers understand English, players want to play there despite the fact they (players) don't speak French, the fan base being French all announcements and marketing done within the province is/was French. What killed the team was the abscence of a salary cap (e.g. they couldn't keep both Sundin and Sackik) and at the time the lack of a new building with corporate boxes to bring in more money (problem solved with new arena paid for by city/province)

  • @1curieux What point is it you dont get ? Im pretty sure i stated the obvious what went on . Salary cap is sometihng every teram in NHL has to deal with . Corporate boxes yes , What possible company you thinnk will get those as far as Quebec is from other places? If its going to go the Province Route it will fail again . I can think of at least 3 Good ideas how that could of worked in Quebec , and thats to encourage tourism from other NHL cities . Nordique nation has the right idea.

  • @Div303 What I was trying to say is that the old Colisée didn't have the necessary boxes to bring in the money. Corporations in and around Quebec City are profitable enough to have boxes that were virtualy absent from the old building. Tourism is already a major economic sector in Quebec City so wouldn't be a problem. The previous "absence" of cap made the future uncertain and was (one of) the major reasons for the team folding. NHL would be viable... now lets hope it comes back.

  • last game of the season, jack and brick were goofin off :)

  • crips win over the blood

  • Get rid of fucking Florida. Phoenix and Atlanta have something going for them, but Florida is shit. And they already have Tampa..

  • Bring back NHL to Quebec City!!!!!! Queback Nordiques

  • I love how the Bruins announcers couldn't figure out that they were exactly 4 min into every period...

  • @jfreshh well it was more at 16 minutes to represents the 16 years that the nordiques are gone

  • the first time where i respected jack edwards

  • thrashers to quebec

    coyotes back to to winnipeg

    contract back to espn

if bettman does these three things hockey could become the biggest sport in north america with the nfl lockout looming

  • @agwideout19

+1 that's exactly what they should do not sure if it would become the biggest though but it would be great for the sport, the nhl would compete again with the nfl, nba, mlb etc and it's really very simple for the nhl:

-get teams where there are fans = canada

    - I can't stand stanley cup final games being broadcast on versus. they need to get games back on espn with barry melrose and espn needs the nhl too they have lots of free spots which they fill with bs and also more on nbc

  • @iSNEVEET Oh you foolish little man... ever been to Quebec or you just get your info from some inbred brother of yours?

  • @1curieux actually yea buddy, I live in Ontario, and have a cottage in Quebec, it's a decent little cottage, but still dirty, and the town it's near is a little piece of shit.

  • @iSNEVEET Just like saying: "I have a cottage in Fort Severn and I can tell you there's nothing going on in Ontario,"

You are a very sad little man.

  • For anyone confused about Quebec having a team already... Montreal is in the PROVINCE of Quebec, inside the province there is a city called Quebec City... Most people know this but it's for those who don't... And NHL doesn't need Pheonix and Atlanta, worst franchise move in the NHL right there

  • Bring back the Battle of Quebec!!

  • modern day warriors, mean mean pride

  • Its all because bettman does not want to admit hes wrong

  • seriously i cant fucking believe that 2000 fans is louder than some full arenas in the USAs

  • But we still dont have a place for a team to play

  • I'm so angry after watching this clip. Screw Phoenix, Atlanta, Florida, Carolina, and Nashville. Screw you Bettman. Bring back the NHL to Winnipeg and Quebec City.

  • I'm not a huge fan of Quebec, but they sure do deserve a team. Plus the battle of Quebec would be epic.

  • Get this video on front page.

  • We need more Canadian teams, it's our sport

  • Love the drinking game quote

  • Wow come on bettman just do it

  • @thegreat0n3 Well, fuck you sir.

  • I was there, a Nordiques Nation member! God it was magnificent! »I want Hockey back in Quebec city, we deserves it!

  • @Cradlis what makes you think quebec diserves it.......if it were my chose id bring back the whalers

  • the NHL can only ignore quebec for so long

  • there has to be a team in quebec realy theres hockey in the most non hockey states...atlanta,,,panthers..phoenix..st louis blues..........

  • @jon316t

St Louis has been part of the league since 1967. Hockey works there. The other places you mentioned...not so much.

  • @akeela2006 Wow I'm surprised at how lengthy it has been for that team. Definitely a storied franchise.

I was wondering how on earth they were able to draw that many fans to that franchise. Their fans are one of the most dedicated and loyal, for sure. The past few years hasn't been easy on them.

  • Phoenix to Winnipeg

    Atlanta to Quebec City

    Get 'er done Buttman

  • amazing :D

  • yeah move phoenix to winnipeg, and florida to quebec city, already.

  • i think Phoenix, Florida, and Atlanta should be moved but not to Quebec. That's not a smart move. Put a team in Seattle. Trust me it would be great.

  • Nordiques Forever

  • Thanks for the honesty Boston announcers!

  • 2000 fans are louder than many USAs arena hahahahahaha gtfo bettman and bring team back in Canada fucking dickhead

  • So many Joe Sakics

  • What I wonder is why there are so many empty seats even though this was a sellout? If there was a way to make them available again in advance if STHs won't use their tickets, I'm sure there could have been even more of Quebec Nordiques fans in there that night (assuming they can get more buses)

  • Very nice! I really hope Quebec City will get the team they deserve!

  • Beau travail Nordiques Nation!

  • "That's more noise that I've heard in Atlanta or Florida all season long !" Priceless !

  • Florida should be relocated to Quebec, its only right

  • Two words to the Nordiques fans in New Jersey. Pure Class. You guys were outstanding to have at that game... What a great time...

  • @TheBostonBomb

Just like it's annoying when poeple bitch about something they obviously know nothing about...Quebec is a 3 hours drive from Montreal...so no we DON'T have a team...just because it's in the same province doesn't mean everyone in said province likes the Habs....just like i'm sure the state of New York has Devils, Rangers, and Islanders fans....We want OUR team back...The Nordiques....NOT the Habs

  • QC FANS>MTL FANS

  • @JonnySniper47 Gonna have to disagree.

  • The Bruins announcers enjoyed the Nordiques fans more than the game.

  • @cne08 That was the best part about that game......the game was boring as hell

  • @mdc12218: I think the NHL has teams in Phoenix, Florida, and Atlanta because the NHL wants to spread around the US to try to get moar fans

  • @amkirby10 That's not how business is done. You don't force products on people. You target audiences suitable for your product. That's how you do business.

  • @Hatchwork that may be true, you shouldnt force products on people, but thats what bettman is doing

  • tahts so awesome

  • That was awesome. Great upload. They are certainly making noise in the game, and in the NHL. Good for them!

  • I'm just confused by people saying that Quebec deserves a hockey team. Isn't Montreal in Quebec? I'm all for moving a southern team up there, but Quebec already has the habs and its just a little annoying that they act like the don't have a team.

  • @TheBostonBomb We are talking about Quebec City here.. in the Province of Quebec there is Montreal and Quebec city.. and QC City lost his team... Montreal Sucks. Not Quebec city.

  • @TheBostonBomb Oh god... *facepalm*

  • @TheBostonBomb Obviously you are confused ! Haven't you heared about Canadian / Nordiques Rivality !? if not, please inform yourself before bullshiting Nordiques fans. Habs is far from being our team , our team is and ill alays be : Les nordiques ! Juste see by yourself by searching '' la marche bleue '' on you tube and see by yourself !

A Quebec Nordiques fan....live from Qc city !

  • @TheBostonBomb We're talking about Quebec City. Not the province of Quebec. And there's a big rivalry between Montreal and Quebec City. I'd NEVER root for the habs myself.

It's like saying Ottawa shouldn't have a team since Toronto already have one.

  • @TheBostonBomb quebec is a province...quebec city is the city and montreal is like 150 miles from there... so yeah we can't see the habs whenever we want and it's unthinkable that one of the most hockey loving city is without a nhl team..

  • As a diehard Hartford Whalers fan I say good luck!! You deserve a team, and I hope your passion for your city rubs off on hartford!

  • I'm a Habs fan but I was too young to enjoy the rivalry. I hope the league moves a team to Québec City. They always supported the team and lost it because of a shitty economic situation.

  • THERE WAS A SHIT LOAD OF THEM

  • @bostonbruinsfan1000 they were like 2000 we need a team in quebec!

  • @painkiller234 well i kind of root for atlanta but we need to get rid of fucking florida or something another canadien team would be good for the sport

  • @bostonbruinsfan1000 yeah i know it sucks to lose a team but a team in quebec city would bring so much money and the fans there beg for it!

  • @painkiller234 yea the sport isn't popular enough another good team would be nice

  • Good job Nordiques Nation ! And thanks Jack Edwards, you rock !

  • devils got trolled

  • Comment removed

  • Class act by bruins announcers.

  • @xradio86 I am a devils and bruins fan (they are not rivals so I can get away with it) and I agree in the sense that they did their best to help out the Nordiques nation but it's a bit unfair that they kept saying they were the only ones cheering. I was at the game and there were plenty of devils fan cheering

  • @NJDUVM 2000 nordiques fans i louder than the whole rest of bulding

  • @xradio86 Yep. Edwards is an idiot, and a douche bag, but give him some credit when its deserves.

  • As a Bruins fan from Quebec, it made my day! haha! I'll always be a bruins, but we do deserve a team up here. I'll go in Qc to see MY Bruins.

    Merci ben!

BTW: And Nordiques fans have never been huge asses. And we both hate the Habs. The enemy of my enemy is my friend... well, kind of.

  • really an amazing display :D it's an absolute NO BRAINER.

  • Comment removed

  • do u want to do a bruins montage with me?

  • haha!! that's great! there's blue everywhere, it's obvious that Québec deserve a team, do anyone saw Jets fans somewhere else, hockey is a religion in Québec, NHL should wake the fuck up,....
