  • im exactly the same i have to shave my face i have no self esteem left just makes me feel so bad about myself i tried laser it hurts and its expensive! and didnt work that well for me but i might give it another shot but then its still stupid cuz i have so much hair on my body hate it :(

  • @88canuckscrazy Well you cant beat your self up over something that you cant really control. they say to lose weight and all of this other stuff but nothing really works..I thought that by time that i had lost as much weight as i have that I would no longer have to deal with the facial hair..NOT THE CASE. it is my number one insecurity be it will not keep me living my life & you shouldnt let it do that to you. Seek a dermatologist and see if there is some help that we dont know about. Good Luck

  • I to have PCOS, and its very annoying. The facial hairs are redicilous, and it also brings my self esteem way down. waxed, used nair and nothing helps. I thought about going to get lasered....hope that does the job! Oh well guess we should be happy we are not alone.

  • @mayorea Let me know how the laser works out for you. I got it done a few times a year or so back and its something that you have to continuously go to in order to see some major results. Keep us posted!!

  • If you have PCOS don't get laser, I spent 1500euro on it, and thats when I was told I could possibly have PCOS, and so I got tested and I did have it.I have been battling with this facial hair for about six years. I'm currently at my heaviest weight, and my facial hair has never been so bad. I'm going to lose weight and get rid of this hair! Your not alone babes, if you put your mind to it I believe it can be improved:) We can do it!! Thinking of you xx

  • @midnightsensations I have lost 109lbs and the facial hair is still a problem. I think that it is honesltly one of the biggest downfalls of having PCOS more than the infertility...its like no one can see that you are infertile but they can see that its nothing for you to grow a full beard...I HATE IT...but it gets better.

  • Im so glad you posted this video I have the same problem I have to shave every morning. I have been so upset and felling so alone about it and you posting this helps me alot. I not only have polycistc ovarian syndrome but i also have thyroid problems. So i know how you fell girl ill be praying for you...

  • @countrywife2005 Thank You. I dont shave everyday because my skin is prone to Razor Bumps so i go like every other day and I exfoliate really well.

  • Thanks for posting! I've been searching like crazy to find other women of color who have the same problem as me. I don't mind all the other symptoms of PCOS. BUT I feel so helpless trying to get this facial hair thing under control. First I used Nair face cream, them I moved to waxing, it hurt plus got costly considering how often I had to go. Now I shave but my skin is getting rough and dark on/under my chin and sideburn area. I can't do laser cause they say I'm too dark.

  • @janzino89 The facial hair i would have to say is the most embarrassing thing ever. I dont wear make-up AND by me being so light the dark spots stand out. I havent used nair because I cant take the smell, havent tried waxing and I shave but I try to get a 5 blade razor but i exfoliate real good first to make sure all the hairs are standing up. but the smooth feeling doesnt last long :( Once I get down to goal weight I am going to invest in a facial treatment.

  • @leekajean yeah I do the same thing with my shaving routine. I do use a product called Tend Skin to help reduce the bumps. It helps alot but it's got alot of alchol in it so it dries you out. I have to have a good moisterizer after it. I'm looking into doing electrolysis. I'm thinking this may be my only way out. I don't want to be shaving and waxing for the rest of my life. I've seen a few videos on here with women of color who've done it and their before and after is just amazing.

  • @janzino89 I have heard of that before but just havent researched it...I will tho cause you are right. Doing this for the rest of your life is NOT THE BUSINESS!! keep me posted if you go through with it.

  • Hey I have been dealing with these issues I haven't gotten diagnosed with PCOS mostly because I havent checked to see if I do which I don't know the process of so thanks for this video and keeping it real because I have has so much stress with this...

  • @FlavaH3adLov3sMAKEUP You can make an appointment with your OBGYN, Let he/she know that you think it may be affecting you and they can check for it. Dont stress your self out because this condition is beyond our control. I never took any medications for my PCOS...so I dont know how that comes into play with treatment, but I wish you the best! :)

  • I have the same issue I first started getting facial hair wen I was 13 Im now 24 its very embarrassing so ur not alone

  • @kismic87 It is very embarrassing and hard to deal with. Last year I went and got it lasered a couple of times. It helped but since I have lost weight and had the surgery it has decreased tremendously.

  • @leekajean hello. i heard laser doesn't work for women with pcos because we have a hormonal problem. Please let me know about it cos i was planning to get lasered.

  • @BlissfulFelony It worked as long as I kept going i went for about 4-6 months consistently but the it helped thin it out...I still have the problem, but its not as bad as it was before...i have lost weight and I dont know if that has helped or what but it may also depend on how thick your growth is..i know it has helped reduce the amount of ingrown hairs and bumps on my face... and when you go tell them you have PCOS and they may turn the strength up a notch...

  • Hi, you are not alone. I have this same problem and have been trying to find any and everything to, decrease some of the terrible symptoms of PCOS. I really hate, having this syndrome, it has taken so much away from me, mentally and physically. I will continue to search for something to make it better. Thanks for sharing.

  • @rockstarr1214 Thank You and good Good Luck!!

  • I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS but since I've been in college I've noticed excess hair on my face too and TRUST me mine looks worse! I walk around campus and I just pray people would stop noticing it because im trying to overcome it. It's so bad to the pt that I want to just walk with my head down...I don't have any insurance so idk what to do about this situation. It's def an insecurity that I need to get over but im not sure if its linked to PCOS I'm going to go soon to find out

  • @azaleaBeauty1 You dont have insurance to get the hair removed (matter of fact most wont cover it) i just wentr to a plastic surgery office and they did it there for $75 a session and I was going once a month, but since I needed those funds to go elsewhere I stopped going... research and think out your oprions and YES go to your GYNO and ask them about your PCOS concerns and have them check everything.. Hope all goes well!! ")
