@IntoTheWoodsBThe great thing about this Rocky Mountain May Tag is that when your packing for a trip you can uses the bucket to put stuff in, like gear or clothing, even food, or whatever, and it is water tight until you cut the hole in the top. Some food grade buckets, the lid has a pour spout that is off to the side, but works just fine. Then you can just dry it and re-uses the bucket for storage ookProj
I got by with that method for over a year with my last baby when the washer broke and I could not afford a new one. I had 3 tall round plastic trash cans that had more room to slosh the clothes. One can held soap and water, one the first rinse and one held the last rinse with some fabric softener. The second had to have the water changed a lot. I could do it standing up. It helps to allow the clothes to soak over night to loosen the soil. I got them cleaner than the washer ever did.
I'd get myself a collapsible camp bucket and substitute the plunger for a nice sapling and id be good to go.. Lightweight alternative..

Thats a good trick. I usally camp in Nov. for deer hunting. Way too cold to hang dry clothes though.
