Online dating sites are for depressed and desperate people.. If I was to be alone for the whole life, I'd still never look for love on dating sites.. Disgrace
Getting girls doesn't have to be difficult (I used to think it did).
I'll give you some advice right now..
Step 1: Go to MackMethods(dot)com
Step 2: Order the "pandoras box" program
Step 3: Use it and laugh at how easy girls are to figure out lol
Seriously, that program has changed my life. I probably shouldn't even be mentioning it because I don't want a bunch of other guys out there running the same "game" but whatever, I'm in a good mood today so I'll share the info.
"You can get raped and killed"....thats the dumbest thing I ever heard. You can get raped and killed in your own neighborhood. Plus the internet doesn't rape and kill....people do.
Oh c'mon not everyone is out to get you online. I mean you DO have to be careful of who you talk to and don't give away too much info..but I've been talking to my boyfriend for 1 year and 3 months(: We've added eachother on facebook and he's no rapist lol. I love him and take this very maturely. I will be with him one day I know<3
not everyones a psyco rapist.....i mean alot of just plain normal guys are on the sites because they are losers and cant find anyone in the real world. Not trying to act like im any better than them, i just haven't broke down and gotten to the point of going online...even though Ive never really had a gf in my entire life....ever. Honestly i think i will just off myself before i get to that point....and damn that point is just around the corner.
I think u can find a true love online, it just depends on who you meet, I met my gurl online, I never believed in online love myself, but she's just amazing :P n i want to marry her, I know there will lots of problems in marrying her but for me, I think its possible, you just have to hold on to it and trust them if you ever find a true love :) . I did lie 2 her bout one thing a long time back :P I was embarassed back then but I told her,I wish i can be with her,our love story is quite sumthin
It's about the "field of eligibles." In college there is 39,999 chances. 3% chance is a buttload of that. In work after college 12 people you work with, 3% is like 0.8 people. The online stuff opens 3% of 20 mill is a fuckload and a half.
Yes! you can find love online. That's how I find my husband =) And I didn't even want an online relationship! But it's not for everyone. Gotta be careful. My sister is the queen of fidning online psychos
I believe that love finds you, you can't find love. If you try to find love its trying to find something that you're not even sure of what you want to look for, that's when it has to come to you, like browsing around an antique show, in which something priceless and beautiful comes your way and you know you must have it.
i have met people online before. i saw the online dating thing as more of a networking, casual friendship thing. i always would meet the people in a large, public busy place and go with some friends. and always make sure friends have my cell number and all that. after a couple hang outs that way your gut will tell you to go with it or run for the hills
I am going out with someone online, it can work, but you have to be careful, fakes are everywhere, but I know he's not a fake I've seen his picture and he's called me before. He is def the age and person he's made himself sound to be.
my love and i met online. what started off as casual comments and picture attraction turned into love once we started hanging out. we've been together 18 months and counting...
i know from personal experience that you can fall in love with someone online, and people dont always lie, i dont and i know for a fact my guy doesnt so, it can work, im in love with a guy i met online and i know thats real
I met my current partner online. I live in the uk + she lives in the usa. we mwt and fell in love and now shes plannning to move over here. weve been dating for a while and its been great. we didn even meet on a chat room or dating site
what are u talking about??? All im saying is that i wasnt tryna find love i just became good friends with him and we ended up getting close and it happened. So now we're married. And yea i basically was bein myself,no other way to be. Point is it can happen u never know. dats it
I have to admit I have tried online dating, and the people I have met have turned out to be the worst 1's but u can find true love aswell because u can get to know some people better by chatting as it can be difficult in person, however like said in the video, there are soo many fake people on the net, and u only have to see myspace for evidential proof, people use it to pimp&tart themselves up. But there are as many dodgy people u can meet in reality aswell as online. It can go either way.
your obviously someone whos not gonna settle down for awhile. You got the whole spunky attitude and the zest of a teenager. You prob don't want someone holding you back.
Very informative, thanks for posting, this video gives a lot of interesting insight into why people find internet dating to be negative and really shows the social stigma attached to it. Ha ha I know where she is New York friggin rules. Online dating is for desperate losers maybe it's because I live in the best part of New York so there are a lot of girls who are my type, artsy, fashion forward. I hate anyone who can't tell the difference between dior and armani and who think armani exchange is high fashion. But there's no reason for me to get desperate like that.
I met a few ex's of mine on the net and they turned out to be complete a-holes. Once guy I was with for 4 years... and we ended up moving in together...but he was one of the A-holes. I gave up online dating completely... than the man I am with now... found my yahoo profile and thought I was hot stuff and messaged me... and I ended up marrying him! He was exactly the person he portrayed online and so am I... what you see is what you get.
ive dated alot of girls from the internet i dont lie on my profiles no need to if you dont like what you see then keep on moving but i can say i dont use the dateing services just meet people on myspace etc course all the ones ive met online i no longer date cause they are mostly crazies lol
i met my girlfriend online thedilly dot com shes pretty hot, crazy but hot. 3 years in 2 months. These websites work well when you go live in a tech college with ugly nerdy chicks trust me
lol... like some case a few years ago, where mother and son fall in love over the internet... they ware chattin aa few moths and then decided to meet... and then shock! :O rotfl
Great job theResident. As you may know already there are millions of freaks on the net*. Though if I asked you, "Would you date on the internet?", I'm almost certain after all that, you are going to say: Ooh Hell no! :)
Well in real life people lie a lot, imagine how much people lie online where nobody can discover u!. Maybe the most popular lies are your "real age", and of course NOT HAVING A COUPLE (everyone is single in the internet), but well not everyone is a liar in the web.
I think u have really small chances of finding ur "true love" or "the woman or man of ur dreams" whatever u wanna call it but actually is not impossible, like winning the lotery of course is not impossible but....
Well, let me also say I think it is possible to have a online love and that it develope to somehting Real but the problme is that the both of them must be fight for their love :-) and you also need time to REALLY understand the person, even so the first meeting is always a disaster but it can went out beautiful :-) Problem is when the chat jsu tbased on dreams or fantasies(I m not speaking of sex now) :)
puh-lease..adults are so naive when it comes to the motives of kids today. ive been going online since i was 7 or 8. suure at first it was innocent stuff like CREATE A MAGICAL BALL on barbie-dot-com..but soon it was AOL chatrooms..myspace..etc.
What a perfect topic - ripe for the street interviewI Love your work for several reasons: 1. Your sense of humor is closely aligned with my own. 2. I used to live in NYC and I miss it and 3. You are so incredibably BEAUTIFUL!
Maybe you should do a piece where you ask people what they mean when they use caps in an email. Increased volume or added importance? How 'bout you?
Carry on,
Paul
PS - Is there any way to view your half hour show from Portland, Maine?
I think there are two issues here. One is online dating services. I suppose you could get lucky and meet the right person but most are full of people wanting to use you. The second is going online at all to meet someone. I do not agree with those that say "desperste" people do it. I think most go online due to the vast ammount of people on the net. Look at it this way. Would you go to a club that has 20 people a night or one that has 200?
I tried it and all the responses came from girls on the videochat websites. They wuold e-mail and say they wanna hook up click on the link for all my info and pics. Its hard to filter the whores from the---well that all I found was videochat whores.
Online love never works not because they lie but because they show too much their true self. Give a man a mask and he'll show what he's REALLY like inside, no reason to lie. But i'm a great guy if you want to PM me your number Lori! ;)
lmao, good topic! i like online dating, i think that theres only enough time to see a certain number of people in the world and the internet lets us see way more. and if theres a true love for everyone, shouldn't you try to view as many candidates as possible? just a thought...
I met my husband online. Not though a dating service though. We've been together for 2 years now, happily married for most of that time (we got married after being together 8 months)
Online love, online happiness, hello lonliness , I think Im a gonna cryeye. Babump.Met a woman. Her picture was of her at 45.Met her at the coffee shop and she looked 65.I said "you gotta be kidding" and left her right there.Take a year off.Put out a "form letter" profile.Send it to 75 women at a time.Take your pick.Work the Northeast U.S. first and move from there.KEEP STRAIGHT what you say to whom on the phone.Cinch!
hello. theresident you talked great. i live brooklyn,ny, 10 street, 5th ave. zip code is 11215. why don't you come down brooklyn. you can try some talking, showing my neightborhood? you look great. ok! see you later.
with a click click and a nod on the street, true love can be found anywhere. Just don't be stupid on line and anywhere else for that matter. I'm not saying to be paranoid. But, just be smart and only let the real truth of a current situation accomodate your desire. Thanks again to The Resident for a great video. Chckwgn
hi. you watch out the scammer from internet's dating.
when you tried online dating. you are going to believe it or not. i am looking for a woman local neighborhoor.
when i send email. woman tried good replied. but there was something wrong, really wrong. her profile was him or his profile was her. the woman from online's dating asked me money. she need visa or airline ticket. you believe me.
I really enjoyed this video about online dating, it is something to think about, lots of strange people out there. How about you, have YOU ever done any online dating?? I enjoy you thanks for all the info.
hi. i tried internet dating before i had chosen neighborhood in internet's dating. there is something wrong, really wrong. internet's dating woman ask money to visit me face to face. woman was really cheated. they are scammer.
who live near neighborhood. this women were from nigeria and russia. they were cheating online's dating where women were from earth. you can check the website. if you wish to read more.
who live near neighborhood. this women were from nigeria and russia. they were cheating online's dating where women were from earth. you can check the website. if you wish to
Never did, Never Will. However True love can be found any where, Online or "Offline." Thing is, yes you can go online dating and stuff but be sure to meet that person, and when you meet be sure to meet in public places like a good restaurant to eat and malls to hang out. NOT in their apartments.
Once you meet and couple or a few more times.. if the person is alright than its alright, that person aint crazy or shit like that.
For sure don't think these folks are internet dating candidates. However, I believe that some of them have a "profile" --- e.g. Hot looking blonde. 36-26-34 and the real "he" is overweight, ugly, with a pimple faced posted in some chat room or dating Web service.
Another aspect I doubt most in the city fail to realize is that outside an urban enviroment, chalked full of people, chances of meeting someone you clique with are rare. Same goes for people on off-schedules. I've worked nights for 5 years, try finding someone when you're only awake while the rest of the world is sleeping.
I didn't meet my girlfriend (fiancee) in any online dating service but I did meet her in a forum. People can be more honest online than one thinks, one can feel more secure and less self-conscience. Thats why we all see the real opinions flying in the youtube comments. People say things online they wouldn't anywhere else.
A lot of those online dating services are full of bogus profiles that contact you to bait you into a expensive memebership. Better to meet people in person anyways.
some could learn a lot from the fear they have of online dating. maybe if the first couple dates are in safe places it makes the date safer. perhaps talk to someone on the phone a few times before inviting them to the coffee shop around the corner. And once people dated safer in general online dating would be less scary for them. what do i know...
If you cannot explore human connections beyond your local community you are an incestuous thinker. You are a 'keep it in the family' type. Another fact. the majority of rapists victimize friends of friends or family members. About 99.9% of all rape cases involve predators seeking victims in their local communities. Including pretty, young, bubbly female journalists. Call it an inexplicable shared preference.
You are perpetuating the myth that people in the so called 'real world' are in fact more 'real' than those who you meet on the internet. Point of fact: In physical reality people are just as likely to lie to you about who they are than they are, or to project a facade, as they would on the internet.
Yeah, but in real life, you can't lie about the way you look, how smart you really are, or your age (for the most part) so there's probably more lying going on on the internet because its so much easier to do so.
1-some of us do not need to lie about the way we look because we endeavour to take care of ourselves. And with the advent of the web cam, this makes it a clearer, less deceptive issue.
2-The eventual culmination of a real life relationship negates the possibility anyway. For how long can any of us be happy with texting?
In reply to lying about 'how smart you really are'. This is the dumbest thing anyone has said on this entire thread. All you have is text on the internet, you thus have no recourse to false demeanour, to the distraction of personality, to pathological extraversion as a means of deception. Thus all you can or cannot do online is reveal the relative clarity of your state of mind, which generally points to how intelligent you may or may not be. End of that discussion.
Of course people lie and it's just as fake offline as online, and you can get raped and killed both ways too but interesting cross sectional analysis of the various opinions around new york.
Interesting comments. Being a guy, online dating risks haven't been about predators or deadbeats, rather, women who've become savvier @ assimilating decades of commercial media conditioning. Oh sure men suffr value deprivation too. But th end result is there's this lousy decline in how enjoyably people can normally, fairly, 'n safely divulge their "whole" story; past, prez, n'future. If u can email well enough 2 insist on substance, thn I thnk genuine romance is still very possible.
Interesting! In a city like NY, I guess that makes sense. I'm curious what the response would be from an area not as compact with less opportunity to meet people. ps sorry to hear bout KV, know he was one of your peeps !
i cant, but a lot of ppl online say they have made love to my mom...........

I met my wife on internet 7 years ago, she is nice, beautifull and she gave me 3 cutes little girls (you can see the middle one in one of my videos).
I was from France, now living in Florida.
So internet dating can be very good !

Hey Res,
What a perfect topic - ripe for the street interviewI Love your work for several reasons: 1.

But i'm a great guy if you want to PM me your number Lori! ;)

with a click click and a nod on the street, true love can be found anywhere. Just don't be stupid on line and anywhere else for that matter. I'm not saying to be paranoid. But, just be smart and only let the real truth of a current situation accomodate your desire. Thanks again to The Resident for a great video. Chckwgn

Talking to people on the internet.. they're always 50% real, and 50% imaginary - we conjure our own images unconsciously.
As long as you are aware of, and can accept this - I think you'll do ok.

STRESSED999 4 years ago
some could learn a lot from the fear they have of online dating. maybe if the first couple dates are in safe places it makes the date safer. perhaps talk to someone on the phone a few times before inviting them to the coffee shop around the corner.

DoctorSensitive 4 years ago
You are perpetuating the myth that people in the so called 'real world' are in fact more 'real' than those who you meet on the internet. Point of fact: In physical reality people are just as likely to lie to you about who they are than they are, or to project a facade, as they would on the internet.
DoctorSensitive 4 years ago
Yeah, but in real life, you can't lie about the way you look, how smart you really are, or your age (for the most part) so there's probably more lying going on on the internet because its so much easier to do so.
Stormin4815 4 years ago
1-some of us do not need to lie about the way we look because we endeavour to take care of ourselves. And with the advent of the web cam, this makes it a clearer, less deceptive issue.
2-The eventual culmination of a real life relationship negates the possibility anyway. For how long can any of us be happy with texting?
DoctorSensitive 4 years ago
and also:
In reply to lying about 'how smart you really are'. This is the dumbest thing anyone has said on this entire thread. All you have is text on the internet, you thus have no recourse to false demeanour, to the distraction of personality, to pathological extraversion as a means of deception. Thus all you can or cannot do online is reveal the relative clarity of your state of mind, which generally points to how intelligent you may or may not be. End of that discussion.
DoctorSensitive 4 years ago
LOL love the ending!

Of course people lie and it's just as fake offline as online, and you can get raped and killed both ways too but interesting cross sectional analysis of the various opinions around new york.
luxztizer 4 years ago
Interesting comments. Being a guy, online dating risks haven't been about predators or deadbeats, rather, women who've become savvier @ assimilating decades of commercial media conditioning. Oh sure men suffr value deprivation too. But th end result is there's this lousy decline in how enjoyably people can normally, fairly, 'n safely divulge their "whole" story; past, prez, n'future. If u can email well enough 2 insist on substance, thn I thnk genuine romance is still very possible.
codevictim 4 years ago
lying on online date? not much different then a real dating. just be extra careful, its easier to get away with a lie online.
