  • Absolute quality. Harry Walden began playing football in the Army, then Linfield before signing for Halifax Town in Nov 1911, then of the Yorkshire Combination. He scored six goals from eight appearances before signing for Bradford City, and ending the season with an Olympic gold medal. He later played for Arsenal before turning to the stage. Great to see this footage, bringing to life someone who was hitherto just a name and photo on a page.
