@FungusMossGnosis dude, it is impossible to distinguish any one part of this song from any other, and you can't even understand what the chick is rambling. really just not good at all. it's like shoegaze with no rhythm!
The reason you can't tell what "the chick is rambling," is because a) you haven't heard the song before, b) this is really bad audio: re-recorded in lowest possible definition, c) you're willfully deaf.
The reason you think it's boring, rhythmless, etc., is because you are unfamiliar with this genre, and can't distinguish between instruments and rhythmic patterns in the song.
Again, the audio on this video is TERRIBLE.
I would recommend listening to the song in 480p or better.

@VinzZissou78 Have you heard her latest album "Through the Devil Softly"? I would say she hasn't really lost a step. Mazzy Star was really a duet between Hope's voice and David Roback's (I think that's his name...) guitar, and that aspect has not really carried over to her new band, but they are VERY capable musicians. And considering the genre, and the nature of the stage show, I would say that she would likely be just as good today. Not exactly a high-energy performance!
