I'm an Iranian-American and I am sad over the treatment of Kurds by the Islamic Republic of Iran, under Saddam (remember Halabja), Turkey and Syria. The moral of the story however is not to condemn any of these nationalities, nor is it to point out that they are "constructed" (all nations were constructed in the 19th and 20th century); the moral of the story is to sound the alarm and critique state power...especially when it tries to crush self-determination of people, of any people.

@ThePersianGulf همدلی من و شما ارزشمند است، اما فرمول سياسی و مصالح تهران با آنکارا و بغدادو دمشق را تغييری نميدهد. اين مصالح مشترک تهران، بغداد، آنکارا- دمشق است که الزامن مشکل کرد را بصورتی دراورده که تنها در داخل ايران قابل حل نيست، همانطور که عرض شد، اين يک مشکل منطقه اي است، و شکل حکومتی تهران در آن فاکتوری ريشه اي نيست. مشکل کرد يک مشکل داخلی ايران نيست.

Why don't the Iraqi and Turkish Kurds trust the Persians? Mostly based on misinformation don't you agree?
a) Iran is NOT ruled JUST by the Persians.
b) Political groups in Turkey and Iraq lie to the Kurds over there about the situation of the Kurds in Iran.

the situation of Kurds in iran is not far from those in turkey and iraq. kurd in iran are not allowed to be proud kurds. to hold or have kurdish flag is illegal as it is in turkey and to write about kurdish history independently is illegal too. the different is iran does it under religious banner unlike shah period which was under nationality.
